All Black legend right there - HRH Zinzan Valentine Brooke 🏴 PS: Hey GBRANZ if you are in the North it would be great to see and hear from our other All Black legend up there (and RWC winner) - John Gallagher while you are in that neck of the woods
Zinny is a legend and grew up in awe of him in Ireland. One thing I’d like to add is that I love sledging and adds spice to the game, the one difference between O’Mahony v Cane and Sexton v Ioane is that O’Mahony made the comment on the park during the game compared to Ioane who took it off the park when final whistle was blown. We all love rugby and respect the game but once the final whistle is blown, we shake hands, have a beer and move on regardless of what side of the score you land on. That is the one thing which disappoints me with such a talented player like Ioane
So true. Funny thing is, O'Mahony just said what 2/3s of NZ fans were saying at the time. Now they're fuming over it. As you said, O'Mahony did it on the playing field. They'll be accusing O'Mahony of multiple counts of assault next for all the tackles he made against them that day.
At the end of the day, Sexton deserved a spray. Decent player but comes across as a bit of prick on the park. Complaining in a book isn’t exactly leaving it on the field.
Sexton and O'Mahony got what they deserved in point of view but I suppose it can be seen both ways.Either way I'm looking forward to this game and may the best team win.
Zinny wasnt all hard yards and heavy lifting in the forwards, he actually understood the game and knew what passes were on etc etc. He was one of the first all rounder 8s that I can remember.
Think they should have given Mathew Ridge's perspective too though, and that is (in his own words).... that he loved and admired Zinzan Brooke and always had since he was a child, he was young and dumb and had agreed to a ridiculously low money deal with Graeme Lowe, when he asked ZB what he was getting, it was significantly more than him, and he was then too embarrassed to reveal his own lower deal back to Zinny! So - (being young and dumb), chose to try and play it cool and keep it from him. a decision that had it not been made...........?
@ I think they assumed most fans had already heard that recent interview with ridgy and were interested to hear zinny’s side. I had no idea why zinny didn’t show up. I can see his point.
Its all well and good, we can point at Irelands past failures and laugh, but.......Ireland have only been really competitive since the Grand Slam in 2009, that basically lit a fire under the team and support started rising from there, prior to that nobody really gave a shit. That, and Ireland moving on from its historical internal conflict with england (something no other rugby nation has had to deal with) as well as the country turning from an economic back-water to an extremely wealthy nation in recent years have allowed it to pour money into the development of its sports institutions. This current crop of Ireland players and their new-found confidence are a by-product of the country's changing fortunes. Ireland is quickly finding its feet now that britain is off its back. So I expect them to stay extremely competitive and only get stronger. Whilst Irelands population is roughly on par with NZs, rugby is the 4th or 5th sport, and no where near to being number 1, but that is changing. With only 160 current Pro Irish rugby players they arnt doing too badly. If as i suspect rugby continues to surge in popularity then its only when and not if they win a WC. I expect sooner rather than later.
So called fourth sport is a misnomer - GAA is amateur and a cultural pastime just about everyone participates in. Their soccer is close to useless and very badly run. Rugby is the only professionally run sport. Re players all major rugby nations can only field four competitive provincial teams - witness SA who don’t dominate the URC with there teams. Playing field is actually quite equal across top five or six nations
Joe Schmidt deserves a lot of credit for the influence he had in structuring Irish Rugby and not just at a National Team level. Rugbys popularity is still patchy in Ireland, GAA is by far the most played game but soccer is catching up faster than rugby. Joes influence and the IRFUs support of schools rugby with top coaches eg Rocky Elsom with 75 caps for Aus is training a schools team that has never won a senior cup, are the big changes. The quality coming through is phenomenal .

Get off these conspiracy theories mate. ABs risked not having their own chef, and it backfired. Besides, multiple ABs have said they'd recovered by the day of the test. SA and NZ both investigated this, and found no evidence to support this. Though, Mandela said if some intentional poisoning had taken place, it was likely the result of betting syndicates.
Ireland would have stuffed NZ if they had played them instead of England. They have to cut out the mistakes and errors .. or wait until the next quarter final to beat them.😂
All Blacks actually won the 2nd test in 1996 SA series by 7. The Zinny drop goal was after AB's being up by 4. The drop goal made it 7 points lead. SA could only draw in the final minute, but a draw could mean the last test match could be won by SA and draw the series 1-1 in best of 3 games) Alas NZ won the 2nd game and the third match didn't matter for a series win In SA for the first time.
New Zealander's are talking about the spice in this game, but I don't hear this from the Irish side. The Irish will want to win it, to defend their home record, but all the talk about revenge is coming from the side that won the last game a year ago.
The only reason Ridgey wouldn't tell Zinny how much he was going to be earning was because he was so embarrassed that it was only 30 grand and Zinny was getting well over 100 grand. It wasn't out of disrespect to Zinny at all.
The entire debate about the AB back row combination is getting a bit tiresome. It's not that difficult: - Papali'i (if fit) at blindside, as he certainly has the size and the work rate to be really effective there - Savea at openside, which is his natural position - Sititi at number 8, on the evidence of his skillset There you have it: a workhorse a la Richard Hill at 6 and two ball runners at 7 and 8, albeit with different characteristics (power over the gainline at 8 and ability to step at 7)
It's not happening. Razor has already said positions don't matter outside of the scrum, and Savea has stated 7 and 8 have been instructed to change their role to open space for Sititi. 6 is now just the new 8. However he constructs the loosies once Cane goes will not be reliant on traditional thinking.

When NZ were a strong team rugby was the 5th or 6th sport in Ireland. Now there is an interest we have overtaken them in ability and skill. Didnt take much. Their arrogance knows no bounds and I live the fact we drive them and the Saffers mad. 😂
Rugby is only the 4th most popular sport in ireland and in the last 20 years the sports has exploded in ireland hence why ireland has been improving all the time. The amazing thing it's also got the smallest group of professionals to pick from only 4 teams (Provenince) in the country. And last 6 Years been the best Rudgy team in world . Claiming that you are a victim of Racism is laughable, Kiwis love the Irish it is just your rugby supporters that we are trying to educate. The Irish Rugby team is similar to the NZ cricket team who perform well above what they probably should be at which is admirable but in NZ we don't claim to be the no 1 Cricket team even though we won the first test match world cup series a few years ago and have made world cup finals in the one day format. We just realise that we are fighters who get lucky at times in the sport & India and OZ rule the sport.

New Zealander's are talking about the spice in this game, but I don't hear this from the Irish side. The Irish will want to win it, to defend their home record, but all the talk about revenge is coming from the side that won the last game a year ago.
Zinnys a legend.... sounds like he has a slight stutter , all good , so do i ... lol
The only reason Ridgey wouldn't tell Zinny how much he was going to be earning was because he was so embarrassed that it was only 30 grand and Zinny was getting well over 100 grand. It wasn't out of disrespect to Zinny at all.
They started it,😮😮😮😮😮

Imagine how much we woulda won by in 95 if the whole team wasnt sick
You mean if we weren't food poisoned!
@Saiyan4eva thats what i mean yes if we wernt poisoned
How can you smell the food is off and still eat it... doesn't make sense
The entire debate about the AB back row combination is getting a bit tiresome. It's not that difficult:
- Papali'i (if fit) at blindside, as he certainly has the size and the work rate to be really effective there
- Savea at openside, which is his natural position
- Sititi at number 8, on the evidence of his skillset
There you have it: a workhorse a la Richard Hill at 6 and two ball runners at 7 and 8, albeit with different characteristics (power over the gainline at 8 and ability to step at 7)
It's not happening. Razor has already said positions don't matter outside of the scrum, and Savea has stated 7 and 8 have been instructed to change their role to open space for Sititi. 6 is now just the new 8. However he constructs the loosies once Cane goes will not be reliant on traditional thinking.
if the abs are disciplined we win.
Discipline and straight-up errors are the main area's of worry for this AB's side
Zinzan replaced Buck Shelford as the No 8. Still controversial to this day! There was no one harder tougher and committed like Buck!!

Rub away Zinny :)
TuneIn on Saturday for “the ref fuked us” from the kiwis
The fact Zinny knows nothing about any of the sledging re Peter O Mahoney Sam Cane etc and Reiko V Sexton is hilarious.
Is that Robert De Niro?
have you thought of going to spec savers
@@SRNK3786 he looks nothing like de niro - you do need to go to spec savers
When NZ were a strong team rugby was the 5th or 6th sport in Ireland. Now there is an interest we have overtaken them in ability and skill. Didnt take much. Their arrogance knows no bounds and I live the fact we drive them and the Saffers mad. 😂
Your best players are Kiwis who couldn't make the All Blacks so you are jumping the gun a bit here.

World cups don't decide.
And rugby is well down the list in New Zealand as far as participation sports go. Football pisses all over it by a country mile, followed by netball. In fact football is double the numbers of rugby.
Ireland will cruise to a win by about 12 points.
@TM-yr3pc you most probably will but who knows
I'd never bet against the All Blacks , I'll be on tenterhooks till the end .
I’m Irish and no way am I seeing an Ireland win by 12… even the Boks can’t do that wtf
@@TM-yr3pc we would need a fair bit of luck. They didn’t play that well against England and still won. Think this fixture will be as tight as a camels arse in a sandstorm personally.
The anti Irish racism in NZ is surprising me as an Irish American. I had no idea this still lived on in NZ
Ya it's coming out now. Irish people would not deal with kiwis but lately a lot of anti Irish views are coming out of NZ. I am guessing it's always been the case and it's a bit backwards due to isolation
What are you talking about, banter is not racism. Relax and stop being a victim.

Some Irish fans are becoming really arrogant.
Where ?? I know loads of them and they all thought NZ would win stop making shit up you Prat

All black arrogance here! Ireland motivation right there 😂
In fairness, Ridgey said he didn't say cos he was so embarrassed his own pay was so low comparatively.

OUR GREATEST NZ Players of World Renown have been of the BROWN PERSUASION from the MANY came a couple of good ones......George Nepia, Bryan Williams, Michael Jones, Zinny, JONAH.
Oh ffs, here we go with the 95 final again. ABs played 100 minutes of elite test match rugby at high intensity and full pace. So this allegedly happened on a Thursday? Food poisoning puts you down for 2-3 days. No way they would have played. Why didn't they say anything before the game? Nothing, not a peep. It would have been headline news. Post match this story comes out and it is clearly an excuse. No team would have beaten the Springboks on that day.
Wow. Brooke let's the cat out of the bag about the NZ attitude towards Ireland. And NZ clowns all over the internet claim Irish are "arrogant". Unreal. What a people. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

He's absolutely right, back in the day NZ knew before they got on the pitch that they would win, I strongly believe NZ are going to be the underdog going forward, super rugby is a joke, only a few competitive games a year for most players, no money in NZ, everything comes to an end, I hope NZ find a better way to accept losses, and re what O Mahony said, that was on the pitch, it's fair game on the pitch, once the game is over you show respect, reiko is a fine winger but he wouldn't be close to get into NZ teams of the past, and now he has shown his lack of class, and you've got a woman beater on the wing, the descent has begun!!
You're a glass half empty kind of guy but you make some valid points, still think NZ has a great team somewhere
The problem started HANSEN 2ND Term continues with foster and now Razor, the Barrette brothers especially Jordie have beeen involve big losses at home Ireland, Pumas aand S at home. If rZor didnt take of Jordie we woulx have lost, and if Jordie inTead of Telea return lost.it not that Jordie bad player he is good, but bad omen when he on field. But thrn otherz are blamed

Honour the jersey and the ABs should be fine.
I did not know the kiwis hated the irish so much. If this is how kiwis speak about the irish in sports i can only imagine the racist language towards the irish in everyday life. Its quite shocking to be honest. Really are 3 toxic guys speading hate online
I've reported this channel for anti Irish racism. People like you should have no place to spread your hatred
@geotruthnz7013 I don't know or care what cricket is. You have shown as a public the clear anti Irish views held in NZ. The racist views coming from your media which started weeks ago by some guy Issy degg and continued by these guys is Clear for all to see. No one speaks like this in sport, why would people spread hate over silly sports game unless they are using it as a cover for racism
@@KewKew-do3kq You clearly don't understand sport, banter is not racism and winning a few games doesn't make you the worlds best and yes it is just silly sport so don't take all this so personally.
@geotruthnz7013 it's not banter it's clear racism. If you want to be the world best at racism you are a minority. if that is what brings pride to NZ I feel sorry for you.
