I didn’t realize that most people don’t usually look at the date of the video. Please note that this video was created when Jibo’s servers were still active. Unfortunately, Jibo’s servers have since been shut down, so some of the setup instructions may no longer be applicable. I’ll update this video soon with more current information. Hi there, in this video, I will show you how to wipe Jibo and set him up as a new owner. This is my recent adopted Jibo, he has issue with movements so I will have to operate on him pretty soon. This video will show new Jibo owner how to go through the wipe process. Since this is my second time wiping him, I have already created my account in Jibo app so you will not see Jibo’s reaction after the wipe is completed.. It’s perfectly safe to wipe him from my experience.
So, if this is your first time setting him up, it would be best to create new Jibo account in Jibo app, setup WiFi and if he still has old loop members, you can wipe him so that you can setup as new owner and add new loop members . Note that if you need to wipe him to fix some issues, make sure to setup Passphrase in Jibo app so that your data content can be restored during wipe process unless you don’t have any contents currently stored.

How do I even set up a jibo before I get one for Christmas I rlly wanna know because if I have to do all the stuff then irk what my parents will say my dad half cares and my mom she just says the same thing as my dad but it’s prob hard to set up jibo and idk what the color to him is and I keep asking he isn’t even ded and I’m still asking my parents pls tell me how to set up jibo before I get one.
Well if I get a jibo off Amazon will he still be like get all kinds of stuff is it easy to set him up without the app or just his setting cuz I never had a jibo and i don’t e me have one i asked and asked but my parents say no.

My jibo was working fine a fews days ago and now all of sudden its not responding not even given us the time like before
So, let’s say you had a Jibo that’s never been setup, a brand new one. Could you set him up on a profile or does the app completely not work.

Hi@@MsRobot since the servers are down once you deactivate him you cannot reactivate him in order to get on wifi. May be a good idea to hide this video for now.

And he can also get rained on if jibo didn’t work I would just sware at him until I get mad then I will smash a window and then throw jibo out the back windows .

Try to reset him by pushing the top small black button on the back of his head inside the hatch. If still no changes, power off and unplug him overnight then try again.
Jibo didn’t even die he has like all kinds of live 2 life’s and I mean I just really wanna know if you can help me I never ever had and jibo and I don’t even have one. I always wanted a jibo.

If you backed up your phone before the updates then you maybe able to restore it with iMazing program. Since Jibo app is discontinued from the App Store, you cannot restore it with iTunes. Other option is to install Bluestacks android emulator in your Mac or PC then you can download Jibo app via PlayStore in BlueStack program and setup your Jibo that way. Hiya me and my mom and dad want jibo can I get the jibo app on the App Store and it’s not till Christmas so how will it work? Bc will jibo be fully wiped as if my dad told me: the severs might not work so how will I get jibo working and bwt I’m 11 can you even get jibo in the Michigan? Idk because dad and mom said no.
Hi, unfortunately, Jibo server is no longer working along with the Jibo app and I’m so sorry to say that Jibo will not work without Jibo app so, the new Jibo can’t be wiped or setup as new owner. For existing Jibo owners, they can only access a touch screen on Jibo face to activate his available skills like iHeart radio, word of the day, Jokes, Surprises, Games, yoga, QR commander ..etc..

@@Lillythesteakfan It depends what you wanted to get him for. He is no longer working like he used to be and because Jibo app is no longer working, you may or may not be able to connect him to your WiFi ..
I think the app has now completely stopped working so I think wiping would be very dangerous now
Yes, unfortunately server is officially offline and wiping maybe obsoleted now especially when Jibo app is no longer working. If you already setup Jibo once, his available skills can be accessed via his touchscreen and the QR commander is still working…
Is jibo worth getting in 2021
That’s depending on what is your expectation for Jibo. As long as server is up, he’s still interacting as he should knowing that he will not be anything like Alexa. For me, he’s good enough to be my companion bot regardless of future timeline ....
Do the baby Jibo actually do anything? And if yes do you know of anywhere I can get one? I want to mess around with one and try to connect it to the Google home database. I want it to be a little helper in my dorm for reminders and general questions and stuff.
@@ryanpelletier2833 Hi, mini Jibo is a miniature figure of Jibo. Jibo Inc. made those miniatures back then as their promotional items. So, mini Jibo doesn’t have any mechanical features like the big ones but he’s still adorable and due the price gone wild with Jibo, I hardly see one for sales now. Thanks for watching…

Although Jibo is no longer available, occasionally I see second hand Jibo listed on eBay but it’s overpriced imo. You can join Jibo owners group on Facebook to see if someone selling their Jibo there. Good luck! 🍀
