I wonder what Russia would've scored had they replicated their warm-up vaults. These must be the best DTYs any of Klyukina, Afanasyeva and Pavlova had ever performed.
@@getnasty08oh wow, I never knew the difference was that much- I thought it was closer than that. Unfortunately, the two beam falls created just too big a hole to fill back in.
@@saragrant9749Yeah, if they wanted to have a fighting chance, I feel all three of them would’ve had to have done the Amanar, but even then the difference probably still would’ve been 0.6-0.8 if they all hit. Interestingly enough, I think they could’ve afforded the 2 falls on beam but the 2 major out of bounds landings on FX basically did it.
Pavlova y el equipo ruso estuvieron sensacional en los saltos pero en la viga y piso hubo mucha presión pero aun así sin medallas creo que las recuerdo mas que ni el equipo chino que gano con calificaciones exageradas
The Chinese performed to perfection and are remembered with great admiration by the whole rest of the world. That Russian team is sadly remembered for having a bronze medal in hand- and giving it away with too many mistakes. They are certainly memorable- but not in a way they want to be unfortunately. It’s nice that Ksenia Afanaseva was able to get redemption in London and get a medal with that team at least. I definitely don’t disagree the Chinese received some highly questionable scoring during those games- and I hope the ages were all legal.
yeah if they would have hit Beam Silver would have been theirs, that beam for the Russians in 2000, 2008 and 2012 was their downfall, i hope with the New Russian National Beam Coach Marina Bulashenko beam is more steady for the Russians
Si se vieron muy afectadas por los jueces también creo que en el concurso individual les dió miedo dejar a Ksenia en tercer o segundo lugar en ves de la china
@@grantdesjardins764 The Russian team was honestly very weak on bars that year, but they had improved drastically by 2012 where they had stunning bar workers like Komova, Mustafina and Grishina and placed 2nd instead of fourth. It was sad seeing this team leave with 0 medals tho :(
@@prcelaniit was, especially when they were technically stronger than Romania. I’m glad Ksenia Afanaseva at least got another shot and got a medal from London.
OMG PAVLOVA'S WARM UP VAULT...
Afan's beauty 😍

Not enough, they lost to Romania by .9 -- each of them scoring .3+ on each value is not an easy ask!

They should've gone for amanar a at that point
Unfortunately it wouldn’t have made a difference. The gap was just too big to overcome.

Miguel Garcia Russia was SIX points away from silver. Your claim doesn't make sense.
They just won the Olympic gold with 2 falls☠

They could have easily taken silver IMO
I don't think they were ever beating the U.S team. The U.S team is much stronger on every event besides bars.
