- One person has died and several others were injured when a Singapore Airlines flight from London to Singapore was hit by severe turbulence, the airline and officials have said.
The Boeing 777-300ER was diverted to Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, where it made an emergency landing at 3:45pm (08:45 GMT) on Tuesday.
Flight SQ321 “encountered severe turbulence en route”, Singapore Airlines said in a statement on its Facebook page.
“We can confirm that there are injuries and one fatality on board the Boeing 777-300ER,” it said.
Four hours after the emergency landing, 18 people remained hospitalised while another 12 were being treated on an outpatient basis, read the statement.

So its the passengers fault? The guy giggling wasn’t empathetic..
Not necessarily he is doing it on purpose. This is actually a coping mechanism for some people. Just as a reference it’s actually portrayed in one of the episodes of a US TV show called Modern Family.
Boeing has made it again
...can a helicopter experience turbulence???.... ...bad weather or mechanical flaw Singapore???. .. was it a Boeing aircraft????
Was a Boeing
Raisi was a whistleblower! 😂
The fact one death on an airplane is news for a global news company really shows how much safer it is than driving.
Have you not been watching their coverage of Boeing? Lol
This doesn't even have anything to do with aviation safety as well so what are you trying to get at?
@@Cotif11 I'm genuinely curious how discussing an aviation incident where there were injuries and one death doesn't have anything to do with aviation safety to you?
The overhead cabins came open hitting passengers with the cases! Several hit, 1 dead.
Waste of time. The host does not understand what turbulence is.
Why would it be rare? If you happened to be standing up or even sitting without wearing the seatbelt, a powerful enough up and down movement would cause you to strongly hit the ceiling, potentially breaking your neck or causing a severe concussion and cranial bleeding. Bad luck can kill you.
He encounters the CAT or Clear Air Turbulence
It is a Boeing plane !!!

The problem is Boeing is every international flight I mean they are everything it's kind of scary I have a flight from Pittsburgh to San Francisco to Manila Philippines later this year kind of scary
