I did some calculations, although It was nearly impossible to tell the thread wear on tires, that ecocontact 6 will last longer and provide more fuel economy than cheaper brands and in the long run over the tire life you will break even on the price of this A brand compared to cheaper brands and also make some profit. (calculated based on the fuel: unleaded 95, 2.09 euro a litre.)

@DriveTuneMedia a bit cheaky asking this. Can you do an mpg analysis between the two tyres? I'm intrigued to know how much of a difference the eco tyre does in comparison to the contact 5? It could podsibly be a marketing gimmick with a higher fuel rating lol
The EcoContact is all about fuel Economiy.
Great shout. I assumed "Eco" was referring to the price but the top selling point on the Continental website is "Reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions" www.continental-tyres.co.uk/car/tyres/ecocontact6
Could you check the TREADWEAR number on the sidewall? It is the number how good its wear resistance. Thanks for your time
