    Too many beautiful ones to think about. I do like the Swedish modern Fringe, and lots of others.
    Mary Donaldson's wedding tiara is beautiful, but it got lost in photos on her wedding day, it was up against the veil, and it all looked like a pile of white on her head. 🤭
    Lovely anyway.
    Queen Mary's amethysts are beautiful, too bad we won't see much of them.

      I know it can be hard to see but Queen Elisabeth of Belgium's Art Deco Tiara doesn't feature a honeycomb pattern, it is a geometrical design featuring a stylized letter E, very much in the Art Deco style. It almost reminds me of a simple rectangular like pattern with little laurel leaves in the center but a lot more beautiful than I make it sound. It's one of my favorite tiaras, it's very underrated. I really believe that Princess Elisabetta's wedding has been the most beautiful showing of the tiara since Queen Paola wore it in the 60s with her fabulous bouffant updos. I hope Queen Mathilde's eldest daughter, the Duchess of Brabant, the heir to the Belgium throne receives this tiara as a wedding gift from Paola so it can stay on the throne of Belgium where it belongs, it would be an amazing secondary tiara for the young lady who will someday be Queen of a kingdom that doesn't have an extensive tiara collection (and whose grandest most versatile tiara, the Spanish Wedding Gift tiara, hasn't been seen since the Dowager Queen Fabiola passed away and directed that her possessions be donated to charity, with it's background and given who gifted Fabiola that tiara it's probably for the best that it was donated). This tiara would be especially great for the young heir because of how versatile the tiara seems to be. I love how the tiara can be worn as a necklace, low across the forehead in the 1920's art deco style a la Josephine, almost like a coronet how Queen Mathilde wore it on her wedding day but when tilted back on the head slightly it has a more kokoshnik shape which gives it a halo like effect. The all diamond design makes it a great workhorse for the Belgium royals as it could be worn with a multitude of other gems. The size of the tiara also makes this an amazing versatile tiara because the size works for anyone who wears it, it's not too pretentious for a secondary Duchess who never thought her husband would end up on the throne yet it is substantial enough for a reigning Queen.

    While I am a serious tiara lover, I just cannot get behind Daisy's gold poppy thingy.

    I have a special love for the meander tiaras, and of course the strawberry leaf diamond tiara designed by Prince Albert is stunning! I must also say that a couple of these tiaras were downright ugly.

    See the first episode of the series Apocalypse WWI. About eight minutes in there are a number of tiara being worn by Austro Hungarian royals, some of which I believe you’ve documented. Thought it may be of interesting to you & your followers.

    Poppy one is just too bizarro, if it were set differently like without the funky wires and the poppies lined up it would look so beautiful like a crown of flowers dipped in gold. This looks like...some funky hat that Carrie Bradshaw would've worn on Sex and The City, the first series...and not every one of those outfits was a Winner. I'm also not crazy about Fringe tiaras. I know they are popular in all the European Courts and it seems like each Sovereign Nation has its own Fringe Tiara. I could take em or leave em

      Which one is it? (Timestamp?)
      Prince Philip's mother Princess Alice had a Greek key or meander tiara that she gave to Queen Elizabeth, who have it to Princess Anne, who lent it to her own daughter Zara Tindall on her wedding day.
      Not sure if you mean that one.

      Princess Alice gave her son Philip a tiara that he broke apart in order to make an engagement ring, and bracelet for his bride... She then gave her meander tiara to her Majesty as a wedding gift...

      Princess Alice of Hesse's strawberry leaf tiara designed by her father, Prince Albert, was passed down to the descendants of that Hesse line...

    @20:10 Was the Dutch Ears of Wheat Tiara the one Princess Mafalda wore on her Wedding Day? The Italian Princess who died in a ww2 concentration camp

    • @hippiebippie8870
      @hippiebippie8870 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, Princess Mafalda wore the Hesse Ears of Wheat when she married Prince Phillip of Hesse... Almost every royal family used to have Ears of Wheat, the Russian one was hands down the best, Queen Elizabeth still has Queen Victoria's Ears of Wheat, Princess Eugenie wore them at her wedding reception clipped to the back of her dress in 2018
