  • I decided that I would record my trip from Spotsylvania to Alexandria. Sorry for the unstable camera at times. I had to hold it the entire time. Along the way you will see CSX M415-27, Amtrak P067-28 and P151-28 Anyway, enjoy the video, fall foliage, and sunrise.

    It's really cool to see the planning for the separated corridors coming into play at Quantico. It will definitely be good for passenger service on this stretch. Does give me concern with whether they'll be low level or high level platforms there. I feel that VRE in the future will be forced to acquire coaches with high-level compatibility or remake the gallery car doors.

    First time this run was done on TH-cam. I wish I could do this run myself. Who knows??? I’m surprised you didn’t go all the way to DC. Ridership seems low which is surprising knowing how congested I95 is. I guess they are still recovering from pandemic. I noticed extra capacity being put in which should hopefully create off peak service to really help ridership grow

      I was planning to go to DC. But I've done that before (not on youtube). If the metro was running, I would have taken it to DC, but my home is Alexandria, so it was just easier for me. But yeah, they are still recovering from the pandemic, and off-peak service should become a thing in the future.

    You're fiddling with the camera too much. There's a reflection of some sort due to the position of the sun.

      I am aware of this. My plan was to use a suction cup and attach it to the window, but it wouldn't work so I had to hold it the entire time. The reflection is from the sun.
