Hi Joe i see you got a soft spot for Toby and are looking after him,You both get on well and i am sure he respects your guidance..Good for you mate ...
Hey Joe that suspension may be that way cause young Toby may have been having to much fun in the back seat with the young lady's he kept looking at the rear mm you think he looking to see if he had left a tell tale sign lol
My girlfriend has a 2006 1.4 Polo that has tapped for the last 35,000 miles and still refuses to die (it’s on 216,000 miles now). Your Polo has got to be worth £500 - £600 of anyones money. Yet another cracking video.
Had to share my first motor with my mum. It was a 1.0L Nissan Micra ......Automatic! Great video, had a good laugh with you and the memories it evoked. Hope Toby has found something better now :)
Great video and content. Good to see Toby on the camera, and trying to point out the good points of the car 😂😂 It sounded like an old diesel when reversing into the cleaning bay. You're definitely a good boss, keep it to run cars down to MOT, but sort the 1st gear issue out.
Jheez, only thing missing is the blacked out windows & he could've set up Toby's Street Pharmacy Ltd whippin excursion around the local estate. Dread to think what he does with the Golf...
Owned 1, driven 2 other ones all with the same 1.4. They all tap away and sound diesel like at low rpms. Nothing wrong they run just fine, sold it to a mate its at 140k now and still going strong.
Good video. Toby did a good job of mentioning the features of this Reflex Silver Polo Car, but he forgot to mention the blue instruments and red needles when you switch the lights on, which looks so cool. It should do about 45 to 50 mpg. I like the stripey seats. This S model's 'Climatic' air conditioning comes on and off automatically. Or at least it's meant to.
😂😂 enjoyed that video. You two work well together like big bro and little. Glad Toby has joined the team full time 👍👌 hopefully should be getting more subs soon and in the future, should be on way more with the content you put out 👌
These Polo Cars have the most ferocious dash-mounted drink-holders in the world. I'm going to go for 110,000 miles, just like mine has done. I have the exact same model of Polo Car, except it's 1.2. And it's black.
@@Afraz_9n3Yes. My car's previous owner was very partial to sugary coffees looking at the state of my cup-holder mechanism. It was amazing how much sticky brown filth ran down the side of the dash console after spraying boiling water all over it.
@@owensteele1645 my cars previous owner apparently didn't use the cup holder at all😂makes sense considering they only had it 4 years and done 30k miles before crashing it
Mk1 Leon s has the same vw 1.4, had the same tapping noise. Hydraulic Valve lifters are the cause. I don't think engine flush will fix. New lifters required.
Some nice footage of the Somerset levels! From 6 feet, it looks tidy! The clip of the Chinese induction kit 😂 I hope in 15 years Toby looks back on this and realises the error of his ways!
Its not that bad my first car was mk4 fiesta with the 1.25 dont forget the 5 😂 with ripspeed wheels. When i sold it i jacked it up to remove said wheels and the car barely moved just the sill. Somehow it survived another 2 years.
Be Careful Joe, that's a fast car, and the Red triangle, I'm waiting for the brakes to go. Be Careful 😅 🇨🇮. Could you use it as a Courtesy Car for the Garage, or up and down to the Farm, I'm thinking!
I would probably advise people not to bother trying to contact your Cars bought for more. As I filled in your on line form and it said I would be contacted or by phone or email within 24hours but alas I heard nothing not even we don't want to make you an offer. At least We buy any car. Or Motorway send you an offer.
Fairplay Super Joe 🦸♂️ u and trusty sidekick Toby 🦹 are great on screen...😁 Seriously though he's very lucky to have you looking after him and giving him a leg up with upgrading this wondrous machine 👀😉😂 Great video and I hope to see this iconic machine one day back to its former glory and taking pride of place down the farm...😁💪🏻🦸♂️🦹😉😍 Well done lads 👏🏻👏🏻😂😂
Scrap value. Quality German build eh. My friend bought a transporter last year had to spend thousands on it, gearbox, clutch, suspension arms door locks. Deadlocked door. Electrical gremlins dashboard failure 2007. Dreadful. I am not a vag fan anymore I like the older french stuff with TU engines. No rust either. No doubt get a kicking. Also like japanese. Don’t get the volume of views to likes.
What is it with people modifying cars really badly, then failing to actually maintain them mechanically.

Agreed 👍
I think I've just caught OCD watching that video. My skin is crawling at the mods on it. Wise him up Joe!

I've got the 1.4 TDi, on coilovers and alloys, brilliant car, over 60mpg and very reliable.
One careful owner. The other five treated it like s***. 😲

@@ShiftingMetal no worries Joe , we appreciate the channel 😁
Sent it to Mat at HPA for stock 🚗
Love the joe and Toby show
I wish I had someone like you on my side when I was growing up lol
That’s nice to hear, thanks 👍

12:54 dont go into first 👍🏽😂😂i have a 1.2 and you can literally just use 2nd to move off. Not that i need to because my first gear actually works🙂
You two are very funny together, great vid :-)
Thanks 😁

Hi Joe. It has a big end bearing wear. After 2k with that noise . It hasn't got much life left.
How about an engine swap? I think this uses the same engine as the black Ibiza you did a short while ago.
Joe you need to pay that poor boy more 😂😂 he shouldn’t be rolling around in that death trap

Uplifting video !
I have lived all my life in the USA. My first car I got in April 1973 and 18 years old, was a Ford Falcon that was far worse than this VW.
Toby is great ❤
I just loved how Toby kept pushing the "positive" aspects of the car.
God loves a trier 😂
There wasn't that many to push😂
@@ShiftingMetal Positives.......It's got an engine..........sort of 🤣😂🤣

im 53 and retired but i really want to come work for you lol!! ur a great boss
😂 I could start a volunteer programme?! 🤷♂️
Well I must say if next weekend vlog is only 33 minutes long then he yes must be sacked 😂😆😅🤣
That was my fault I have to admit!!
£500 for a car in 2023 is a bargain but I bet it had a whole heap of problems
Joe you could maybe do a short video every week of the part exchange cars unless you would rather Sophie sold them from THE farm?, Mark
You could keep it as a courtesy car for customers you want rid of…
😂 That would do the job!
joe this was a funny vid, even with the swearing, keep it in, makes it more real lol #keeptobyemployed
👍🤬
You should have Toby in sales😂
😂
Who writes down all the problems with their car and leaves it with the car when they part ex it!
It was the list his bro in law made when they went to buy it apparently! 😂
Jordans new car?
It's developed it's own character.... Problem is that character is Freddie krueger😂

Looks like a £200 car, reknowned for stretched chains/burnt valves/rust etc. +maintenance issues, uff! I think £500 is Abit too much, you're too soft!
The 1.4 does not have a chain. It's a belt.
The camera guy is cute as owt. You have to keep him for bants
