I used the Meaty Salmon as I like the colour and it makes a great cloud. 6mm pellet used on band. Great session of F1's and Carp. Carp lower than F1's on the Yorkshire Jigga. Thanks for the tips. What elastic do you prefer for jigga work in slop?
Hiya kayleigh, I'm almost 60 now just got back into fishing, don't get me wrong I'm no slouch, I fish a local fishery, the f1s are small, the do fight strangely fun to catch, however I get smashed up 2/3 times a session by the bigger carp, question is, bare in mind I'm pleasure fishing, would you beef up the gear to try and land the bigger fish but compromise presentation, or would you just take getting dragged round the lake by a double as just one of the pit falls and carry on as normal, I feel like packing up if I loose a good fish.

I like the 11 hybrid Slip in a short kit! Perfect for this

Just use balanced tackle and take your time to get the big ones in. You want to enjoy the fight so i wouldn’t beef it up too much

It seems to work best on that lake but i think you would catch on it on the other lakes as well
Can the slop method be used for general carp
It can but generally better for F1s or small carp it doesn’t seem to work as well for them once they are bigger for some reason
