I was a major fan of the 1999-2000 series. The writing, the art, the characters and the tone-Peter David and Chris Cross put out one sublime series. It may have been short lived, but am proud to count the complete run amongst my collection.

I haven't thought anything in the comics can beat Avengers #200 in terms of how messed up it is, but this whole thing about Kree women definitely has a shot. Comic books will never cease to astonish me... for better or worse.
I think Genis may have been the only character to come out of the 93 annuals' " every annual introduces a new character" stunt to have any real impact on the Marvel Universe. He is definitely the only one to have his own ongoing series. I would love it if you did those videos on Moondragon and Phyla-Vell you mentioned. I liked Phyla, by only problem with her is that instead of just being her own character she is always taking up someone elses mantel. Guardians had the best run with her and i thought her struggling as the avatar of death was great. sadly that whole era didn't seem to fully understand the quantum bands, and it was a constant source of annoyance for me.

I loved legacy. he had the same problems that Nova often had. That new writers would return him to being an immature kid who has to learn responsibility instead of a hero trying to live up to a legacy. unfortunately with carol as the defacto captain marvel we'll likely never get a decent legacy story. to the point that they often seem to want to pretend Mar-vel was never captain. (even the last Mar-vel toy was only called that instead of Captain)

Love your videos but hate it when people Diss 90s stuff. We got the infinity gauntlet and the most recognisable version of the x men from the 90's. Most of comics best stuff is late 80's and 90's. It's the cartoons from the 90's the kept things going when the books weren't selling and arguably brought the characters to kids in other countries that didn't have access to the books regularly. Like mine. I love comics because I grew up in the 90's. I've since broadened my horizons to other eras but 90's is still the best. The art was actually pretty awesome aswell.
