Sorry for your loss. A while back I lost my little girl I had her since she was born and she was 21 ( or 100 in human years) when she died. She was my loyal little friend and companion. I loved her, and miss her very much.
Totally agree-when a cat chooses to cuddle, it’s like winning the feline lottery! But even without cuddles, their presence is such a blessing. Maybe your female cats showed their love in their own subtle, mysterious ways.
Men who are genuinely, openly cuddly and affectionate with cats are green flags, imo. Since it shows that they break the status quo of men believing that they're supposed to be "hard" and emotionless all the time, and that if men are close to a pet, then it should be a big "masculine" dog. Usually guys who are cuddly with cats are more in tune with their emotions and vulnerability, which is a great thing.
My daughter has a cat that she got when she was 16 yrs old. She said no matter who she is with, Sookie has to like them. She had 3 boyfriends. Sookie did not like two of them, and 2 yrs ago, the 3rd one became her husband, and Sookie treats him with more love than his human mom. I say human mom, because she got him at 6 weeks old instead of 8 weeks old when they are weaned. Mama Cat, just did not want to have anything to do with the kittens. Sookie actually picked my daughter. He is an all black cat with a small white heart shape on his chest.
Wow. In Finland they re not allowed to sell kittens younger than 12 weeks. We got our two cats at 12 weeks - both were traumatized. The orange one was from a family with children , he is almost 4 years old if u take him in your hands he starts growling. Poor kitty was tortured by demons. The siamese one came from family of alchholics ( judging by the man who sold him to us) and can not tolerate even loud voice. If he is sleeping and i start talking on the phone ( i talk loudly on the phone for some reason) he gets up and leaves. Also he prefers to sleep hidden. He is almost 8 and never recovered from trauma. We have no small children - all our children are close to 30 and do not live with us and yet kittend never recovered.
Interesting thought! Maybe cats are onto something-they know a good scent when they find one! Looks like men have an extra charm factor for our feline friends.
I think it’s just the videos. My mom had three cats, and they LOVED her. We’re very protective of her, followed her everywhere, snuggled with her 24/7.

We used to have a cat named Kitty. My dad didn’t want her and she was a stray. My dad told my mom not to feed her but she didn’t listen. That cat loved my dad most of all and would actively wedge herself between my mom and dad every night and apparently would nudge my mom off the bed. They would do everything together from watching tv to having conversations. This video reminds me of that cat and my dad.

I know perfectly well why my cats prefer my husband; he has the ability to lie perfectly still on the sofa for several hours. Where as I have to move frequently due to various aches and pains. I am however, worried about hubby’s heart health! 😮❤️

Please, do your cat a favour, spay her. So she will not have to go through another heat. Every time she is in heat she produces egg cells. Unlike with humans, those do not leave the ovaries, unless they get to mate. In an older cat that never mated but was not spayed that means the shere amount of egg cells can stretch the outer skin of the ovaries paper thin - until they tear. Then you lose your cat. Don't risk that. Let her be spayed. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
I endorse that spay and neuter policy. If loved they tend to stay close to home. And are calmer. I used to let mine out in the yard during the day and then call them in before dark, they always came.
Oh, I wish I was loved by our cat the way like they do in this video! Unfortunately our cat doesn't love me as much as my wife. Naturally she is kind and patient with me, but she simply adore my wife. I love her so much, I was the person adopted our cat when she was just a stray kitten, but that's the way love goes.
