@@globbtube that would be good actually cuz after the action all the rage you have just goes away. Or put all the rage you have into the passive timer ?
I love wolverine but he does need a buff of some sort. I feel like his claws don’t do as much damage as they should for getting very close to enemies. Against iron man, Scarlett witch, Spider man, ect he’s very weak. It’s hard to really land hits and when you do it’s not rewarding at all. I understand that he’s meant to get stronger as he’s in combat but even so. Not to mention his joke of a healing factor. I don’t mind the regeneration itself, but an 80 second cooldown on wolverine is insane. Either his claws or healing factor need a buff, one or the other. Besides that i have a lot of fun with him but i need a medic juicing me up the whole time to really get value. And wolverine shouldn’t need a medic. If you make a game where wolverine needs a medic to really get value off you have an issueHe’s already a balanced superhero logic wise. He can heal very well but at the cost of only being able to attack very up close. Literally an iron man or spiderman or Scarlett which can solo him very easily. So these buffs would sort itself out so he can never be too broken. Also a smaller complaint but he needs to be a bit faster as well to really help close in distance better. Because i almost never get value from his abilities combat wise and almost only use it for mobility. Not to mention his ultimate… kinda sucks. It feels like a weaker version of thors. I don’t know why they just didn’t do a genuine berserker rage and he’s unstoppable for a period of time. Basically lore accurate wolverine for a bit. I mean shit they did punishers ultimate better.
@ exactly! Iron fist should have to damage output wolverines claws have. Iron fast is very fast with a lot of movement, but weak punches, but can deal them to multiple people, and dip if needed. Wolverine is meant to have heavy damage output, while regenerating health. A fight with iron fist as wolverine should go like this. Iron fist lands a lot of blows on you but moves very fast to where it’s a bit harder to hit him. His punches don’t deal a lot of damage but stack very fast. As wolverine, the few hits you land are devastating and the iron fist balances offense and defense. The fight could/should go either way. If anything wolverine should be in the tank class. Wolverine as a duelist feels right and wrong. He should be the smallest one on the tank build in my opinion.
Wolverine is weaksauce. Needs a buff. Ult is trash and leap needs the hit box fixed. You'd think he'd have better sustain because he's Wolverine but he lacks. Heck iron fist has more sustain than him lol
@@krisf7962 if you hit all skills he wins 1v1 but one missing and he already lost. the problem is he has only 50hp more than every distance dps and almost every dps has skill to escape... When I first saw him in the trailer, I was expecting his Ult to be the Berserker Rage and to be a Monster Hulk type transformation where he gets passive healing + damage buff for like, 10 seconds or something. Make it so you HAVE to focus on him otherwise he'll shred your whole team. I love the design, I love that they got Steve Blum but I can't ignore how disappointing his kit is. Still really enjoying the game though, I've taken a liking to Iron Fist and Hulk.
100% agree. I think thry should swap the style of his ult and Iron Fist. Iron Fist is already godly mobile, tanky, and does good damage. He doesn't neeed super saiyan mode too. But Wolverine definitely would benefit from a nice berserker rage mode where he heals super fast and has crazy attack speed. It would be way more thematically accurate as well.
Fun Tip for yall too! His Feral Leap and Ultimate can cancel some jultimates in the game like a stun would. I managed to catch a Spiderman ult, Groot Ult, and a Scarlet Witch ult mid air. There are also certain spots on the map where the elevation can help you reach flying targets to grab them and his grab will only stop if you hit the ground or manually stop it with right click.
Wolverine should be Tank (his true power is resilience), climb walls with his claws and only his ult must be a finisher with high dps. At the moment he isnt good in nothing that he does.
I honestly don't think a duelist is a bad design. Wolverine is super durable. But when I think of Wolverine, I don't think about the durability, I think about the claws. Them leaning into that in a duelist is very interesting to me. He just needs something more to make it worthwhile. I'd suggest some health regen or temporary health gain on hit. We live in a world where Iron Fist can have upwards of 500 health with more damage per hit and faster hits. Wolverine should be a durable brawly dps with some light cc via a throw or something.
Not relevant to the video, but I just have to say that I loved that you used one of my favorite pieces of music in the background. The menu music from Magic, Duels of the Planeswalkers 2014! The guide’s great too btw 😂
Quick tip you forgot to leave out is that Vicious rampage is an auto attack reset as well. No matter how many attacks you do 1-4 if you hit Vicious Rampage, it resets the count to 0 allowing you to essentially deliver 9 strikes on a target in about 2 seconds which builds rampage very quick and is cost efficient on cooldowns given vicious rampage is on a 3 sec cooldown. Sometimes when I enter the backline silently, I just walk up to the enemy instead of using right click to engage because it delivers more damage and more rage. Other than that, all the other tips are really useful and you had a well put together video. Great job.
It's a weird position to be in with Wolverine, and I don't want to immediately start begging for buffs because of how new the game is and even more importantly because he is genuinely very fun and so far feels like a decent character, but something about his kit feels like it's missing something, and I think I know what it is. We all know what Wolverine is known for, and even how he's sold in this game, but his healing in this game just doesn't cut it as it is now. I propose that they buff his ability to stay alive and most importantly stay on the offense in a fight and give him a life steal healing in addition to his cooldown self-res. Anything else that is being suggested in the comments, most notably bumping up his base claw damage to help him keep pace with other melee duelists like Iron Fist, is good too, but I think his ability to keep himself alive is the single most important thing he's really missing. And let's bring Iron Fist back up, because he has pretty much all of the qualities I think Wolverine needs, the higher base damage, the high speed aggressive gameplay that makes you feel like a blender, and most importantly the incredible self sustain that gives you all the confidence in the world to play the character the way they were designed. I think we can all be honest here, everything else aside, Iron Fist should not have more self healing and sustainability than WOLVERINE of all characters, and that's what singles it out to me as the number one thing this character could benefit from.
I lost 1 1v1 to the ninja chick after I hit her with the dash attack and the leap attack in sequence from the back. She 3 shot me. I almost broke my controller
Something to point out is that wolverines feral leap is a better escape tool than his 3 second dash ability. This is because his 3 second dash stops on colision with an enemy, so if your tryng to get out of a fight you could stub your toe on an enemy and be stuck there. Feral leap will get you out of that action and bring home a treat for the rest of the team.
I’m a wolvie OTP and I love seeing certain ultimates just get nullified by feral leap. Seeing scarlet witch charge up her ultimate then proceeding to just tackle and erase her😭 fun times
I want to be a wolverine main SO BAD, im praying they buff either his damage or actually give him his healing factor because atm he just gets overpowered by basically everyone 😔
yeahhh. without a more reliable healing factor or better mobility, there's no reason not to play iron fist over wolverine if you're looking to play a melee duelist.
The dash resets basic attack cooldown also if you look almost straight down right before you leap you got a better chance of picking them up, like rocket especially
Wolverine needs a buff lol. Backstepping away from him makes him completely useless. Way to easy to kite him and if you do manage to catch up to someone his damage is too low. His leap catching enemies is inconsistent af as well
I feel like they either is abilities need shorter cool downs so you can combo them into your regular attacks more like Spider-Man or all his damage needs buffing and his passive regen needs fixing like maybe health on kill with higher damage would make him feel like the monster he’s supposed to be and put him more inline with the other melee characters
I agree with the leap being inconsistent but I’ve found if you “Vicious rampage” directly into an enemy then immediately follow up with the leap it’s seems to hit more often
Honestly he needs bleed damage and a lower cooldown on his healing factor like 75% lower cooldown because 80 seconds is insanely long especially when it doesn't got away even when you die
I've had the opportunity to practice maining him and dear god it's satisfying to make tanks run, or better yet to shred through 2-3 in a row. I just wished Hulks understood that fastball special isn't just good for distance but gives a free flurry a la Shift leap
I love playing with Wolverine. It took me a min to get used to him but I learned you have to flank and ambush. Pick one target and go absolutely berserk on them and then dash away and find some stage health and wait for your abilities to Cooldown.
*Wolverine needs more maneuverability and survivability. Here's my idea for a buff.* *Additional Berserker Rage passive feature:* - +20% movement speed when at max Rage. *Additional Undying Animal active feature:* - Depletes all Rage. - Based on Rage depleted, slowly regen health (as fast as Rocket's heals).
Ok hear me out, the buff he need was his passive heal. Its bot supposed to have cooldown. Rather make his heal can only activate when his rage meter above 50, and his rage cannot be fill in when the shield active. Means he needs to be play really aggresive and pther hero cannot just solo him
He’s pretty good if you got a healer and another tank with you, but if you’re not coordinated with your team and you commit and dash in you’re dead, you can do like a one V one, but then you need to get your rage up and be constantly healing he does really well with Jeff, the shark and Hulk
Wolverine is my main.. he’s unstoppable with an any good supports but definitely your team needs to play according to your aggressive behavior. If not you get smoked and then your team hates on you like your the problem.
They could just give him an ability where he has the option to spawn at his body or back at spawn but if you choose to spawn at his body, you do a little animation getting back up, a voice line and then when you're back on your feet, you have 100 HP and it slowly starts regenerating again. Would make him feel more regenerative. And to avoid spawn camping his corpse you give them the option form a traditional respawn or the wolverine respawn. Similar to Adam Warlock I guess
I personally think the main issue with him as a character is the unreliability of his leap when it comes to grabbing enemies. You have to be practically inside a character on the ground to grab them with it, I think if they simply made it so you can leap at a more shallow/low angle it would make him much stronger as hitting a dash-leap combo would be a million times more reliable. Either that or they should increase the grab hitbox size, it's practically impossible to hit on small characters like Jeff the Land Shark or Rocket Raccoon.
I think they should make his rage increase his primary fire rate, then increase the amount of max HP percentage damage he does to better cement him as a tankbuster.
Loved the concept but heres a bit of this i’d change: *His passive is way too long to refresh, make him somewhat useless. *His leap should catch enemies so long as they are in front at all times, not just start up *His X dash should have 2 charges, many guys like r.racoon have more than 1 dash or hawkeye can just bonk you away to death as he kites you *His ult should insta grab at least one guy, its way too finnicky *He has claws and in the series he uses them to climb… why not here? *Shout shouldnt stop him from hitting I loved the dude, but there are better assassins atm, i wish he could get balanced
Haven’t finished the video but i made a awesome play where i leaped into a team then ulted and killed 3. I’m assuming the rage you get after leap is why it hit so hard. Also someone said the scream can prevent death so it’s best to use it close you death cause it’ll give you a health boost when you’re supposed to die. So far that seems to be true
They should change his passive so that he constantly regenerates HP at a percentage, like 1% or 2% but make it to where he cannot be healed by healers at all.
your a fully coordinated team against random noobies who are using 0 teamwork. Not a great example to show off in most real matches where people will be playing with randoms
What I do is I do the right click into left click and then cancel into the leap to make sure that i get the support or DPS i’m aiming for. And just to make sure i don’t get killed from behind by a flyer while targeting someone, I activate his E right after
Fix his passive's weirdly long cooldown that doesn't reset after death, give him more bonus health and make his leap cooldown a second or so faster, and he would great. As of now though, there is no reason to not take Iron First over Wolverine imo.
I agree with most here. His kit is lacking something and I get demolished the moment I dive in and my healer turns back for a second. Logan should be able to regenerate by himself in some fashion. The burst bonus health and heal feels weak. His playstyle is not too clearcut as his kit leans towards being between a Vanguard and a duelist but he is only decent at either. The devs want you to dive in take out some backline enemies, cause as much chaos as possible (praying they will not focus fire you), then get out. You'd only really jump back in once your passive heal is back up and/or you have a reliable healer. That really does not sound like Logan. He's still fun for sure and he is my first go to melee hero. But as others pointed out, Iron fist seems to have a better kit overall and Wolverine needs some tuning to better achieve the berserker archetype a lot more.
😂 "I then go on to assist taking out the God of thunder -- who is also the God of being out of position..." 😅 "... now here comes Thor again, wanting a nice big hug from Logan." Bro your commentary is hilarious LOL
I really don't like his feral leap because you literally have to be up in their face before you use it otherwise you're just not going to hit anybody but it feels more like a tool you should use to initiate fights
Can initiate with it, or practice pulling enemies towards your team. Both work but depend on the situation you're in. If you're team aren't ready for aggression you'll get melted.
His ultimate can be good but it's super inconsistent, sometimes you'll be right in front of a team using it and after the first attack it won't allow you to do the follow up even while spamming the button for the follow up😢
Wolverine is not bad in the game. He could use a few minor buffs (base claw damage, mobility or that ridiculous 90 second heal cooldown) but he’s solid once you use his kit in very specific ways. Use the leap and dash as a getaway as much as you would to close the distance. Most important thing is pop his damage reduction before entering a group of enemies and GET INTO THE ACTION. Don’t be afraid and sit back or ranged characters will delete you. You have to force yourself sometimes to just hop in and start slashing as he only gets stronger from there. Hope this helps!
I feel his regen cooldown shouldnt be that long. Im maining him, he's great unless you have one specific healer that follows you always its almost impossible to engage. But for now his best stratergy. is just picking off low health enemies or just pushing high priority enemies from the team
Feral leap needs to be fixed, I've been standing in front enemies while using it and can't count how many times he just jumps over them or right past them.
1:46 how do you reach that screen showing the actual stats for the moves? I can't find it anywhere in the menu Edit: nvm i found it. Didnt know you could only see that on their website
Healing in the game is already insane to be fair, so him having regen along with healing would be so broken. I think if he actually had a regen, give him like 50 more health and then swap him to a tank role instead of a duelist it would be fine. Have his healing factor in with his rage, and just make his rage lose progress quickly when he isnt hitting something. Or maybe make his Roar ability give him a boost of regeneration to add to his survivability, similarly to black panther. I think black panther is just a better wolverine, it just has a higher skillfloor/cap than wolverine. (In terms of healing jumping into the fight, causing damage, and then leaping out)
He needs to be a 5 Star difficulty. You have to really know how to get in and utilize his passive and attack speed/defense buff or else he’s fragile and just dies
One trick I've been using at time is cancelling his leap with his right click. If you need to close the gap quickly his leap will usually fly too far but you can cancel it into a dash halfway through to quickly get to an enemy. You still get your empowered attacks even after cancelling it too.

Ok hear me out, the buff he need was his passive heal. Its bot supposed to have cooldown.
Rather make his heal can only activate when his rage meter above 50, and his rage cannot be fill in when the shield active.
Means he needs to be play really aggresive and pther hero cannot just solo him
Yea I’m going to test him tomorrow
Oh wow, you're almost always at 100. I've been playing him as a massive dive hero
When I play wolverine I just swing wildly
By the way For all that does not know wolverine is an actual animal
(Only the one that doesn't know can read)
Hopefully they buff Wolverine
I personally think the main issue with him as a character is the unreliability of his leap when it comes to grabbing enemies. You have to be practically inside a character on the ground to grab them with it, I think if they simply made it so you can leap at a more shallow/low angle it would make him much stronger as hitting a dash-leap combo would be a million times more reliable. Either that or they should increase the grab hitbox size, it's practically impossible to hit on small characters like Jeff the Land Shark or Rocket Raccoon.
Default skin with 100% rage just awesome, unlike purchase skin that doesn’t have any effects with high rage🙃
thank you i want to actually be good with him
I think they should make his rage increase his primary fire rate, then increase the amount of max HP percentage damage he does to better cement him as a tankbuster.
Loved the concept but heres a bit of this i’d change:
*His passive is way too long to refresh, make him somewhat useless.
*His leap should catch enemies so long as they are in front at all times, not just start up
*His X dash should have 2 charges, many guys like r.racoon have more than 1 dash or hawkeye can just bonk you away to death as he kites you
*His ult should insta grab at least one guy, its way too finnicky
*He has claws and in the series he uses them to climb… why not here?
*Shout shouldnt stop him from hitting
I loved the dude, but there are better assassins atm, i wish he could get balanced
He needs something to make him feel immortal. Like a knocked to the ground at 0hp passive, instead of dying.
I find it so difficult to land his leap on a target unless I am basically licking him up close. Still getting the hang of it
Yeah wish he had more healing or at least lifesteal. Maybe make the enemies bleed.
"Even hulk will be taken down fast" proceeds to struggle killing banner😂
your a fully coordinated team against random noobies who are using 0 teamwork. Not a great example to show off in most real matches where people will be playing with randoms
This is randoms both sides. They tend to come together when you take the lead.

It feels like Iron Fist is what Wolverine should have been
Swapping kits would have worked for sure
This was amazing! Can you do one for winter soldier?
So how is the game? The idea sounds pretty cool.
I've never felt like a character was made for my play style until now lol
😂 "I then go on to assist taking out the God of thunder -- who is also the God of being out of position..." 😅 "... now here comes Thor again, wanting a nice big hug from Logan." Bro your commentary is hilarious LOL
What I learned: have a good team and a healer who actually heals you
I want to play Wolverine but he sucks so bad in this game he needs a buff so bad
Lmao no he does not. Jump in, isolate tank with feral leap and melt the next one
I think he needs passive health regen. Even if its something small, just for the theme
Awesome guide! please do one for everyone (only kind of kidding)
His ultimate can be good but it's super inconsistent, sometimes you'll be right in front of a team using it and after the first attack it won't allow you to do the follow up even while spamming the button for the follow up😢
2:40
His basic attack is 4 hits, not 3. 🙏🏾
Edit: Awesome guide nonetheless!🎉
Just pop every ability whenever it finish cooling down and if ur team don’t have a healer simply don’t play this character
Wolverine can indeed catch Air units... dash in the air and lounge... done it plenty of times....
Wolverine is not bad in the game. He could use a few minor buffs (base claw damage, mobility or that ridiculous 90 second heal cooldown)
but he’s solid once you use his kit in very specific ways.
This guy needs a buff so bad, he is borderline unusable
His leap shouldn’t be 12 secs since he’s a up close melee character he needs to get in and out of battles fast should 8 secs to help him out
I need my Hawkeye guide
1:52 how are you seeing these details? edit: nvm its on the official site for those wondering like me
Official site yes :)
i’ve been waiting for a wolverine guide
Wolverine's movement speed should increase when his rage builds up. And maybe let him climb on walls will his claws or wall run.
Wolves ult shouldn’t disappear right when activated. Theres time where I ulted and died before even launching them. And its completely gone
Wolverine is very fun but I really hope they reduce the cooldown on his leap and rework his healing factor cause he's still way too easy to kill.
Magneto isn’t Magik’s dad. Just a friendly heads up
It was also Dagger in the clip not magik lol
i don't feel like i'm playing wolverine when i play him :(
Can you do this on a controller instead of a keyboard?
I feel his regen cooldown shouldnt be that long. Im maining him, he's great unless you have one specific healer that follows you always its almost impossible to engage. But for now his best stratergy. is just picking off low health enemies or just pushing high priority enemies from the team
Wolverine need his base numbers increased, he's too squishy and doesn't have the damage to secure the kill
No worries when Deadpool comes out all you Wolverine mains will have a team up with me.
Feral leap needs to be fixed, I've been standing in front enemies while using it and can't count how many times he just jumps over them or right past them.
Pro tip: dash behind an enemy and launch them into your team instead of off to the side and likely out of line of sight for your team
1:46 how do you reach that screen showing the actual stats for the moves? I can't find it anywhere in the menu
Edit: nvm i found it. Didnt know you could only see that on their website
8:43 did you just say magiks father was magneto?
Healing in the game is already insane to be fair, so him having regen along with healing would be so broken. I think if he actually had a regen, give him like 50 more health and then swap him to a tank role instead of a duelist it would be fine. Have his healing factor in with his rage, and just make his rage lose progress quickly when he isnt hitting something. Or maybe make his Roar ability give him a boost of regeneration to add to his survivability, similarly to black panther. I think black panther is just a better wolverine, it just has a higher skillfloor/cap than wolverine. (In terms of healing jumping into the fight, causing damage, and then leaping out)
Would be cool if he had a really good healing factor but wasn’t able to be healed from outside sources.
He should've been a tank
He needs to be able to climb walls and his r1 should instantly give health like iron fists healing ability
He needs lifesteal when in rage mode he’s the one melee that needs it, iron fist literally has a heal lol
He needs to be a 5 Star difficulty. You have to really know how to get in and utilize his passive and attack speed/defense buff or else he’s fragile and just dies
Is it me, or every time I do his leap, it goes over the target? Most of the time resulting to death.
Is Wolverine still good
Logans cooldowns should be shorter and the normal attack should be Unlimited imo
