  • 43 first-come, first-served campsites at 9,700 feet. Located in the Bear River Valley of the Routt Natl Forest outside of Yampa Colorado. Campsites are $10 per night. ($20/Double Sites & $30/Triple Site). Fishing in Bear Lake is a short walk from the campground. Yamcolo Reservoir and Stillwater Reservoir are less than 5 miles from Bear Lake Campground. The Flattops Wilderness surrounds the area on three sides and has several hiking trails. Most of the campsites here are spread out and thick trees provide privacy between many sites.

Thank you for taking the time and effort to video the sites. You certainly get your steps, especially at high elevation. Great job!

Shhhh! My favorite area. Cold spring campground is sweet, but small.
Always cold at night, which might deter some campers...and that's a good thing.

Lucky! It's a beautiful area. I'm always jealous of those that got to experience these places in the less crowded days before Google Maps and GPS.

Thank you for all of the great videos. I find them both relaxing and informative, and look forward to your upcoming videos of the other camping areas in the Bear River corridor.

Hello, I enjoy your campground tours and reviews. I was wondering if you could recommend a few campgrounds that are next to or very near some decent creeks and streams for fly fishing. Thanks

Platte River CG and Lone Rock CG come to mind near the Front Range. Mavreeso and West Dolores in the SW. Lots of options along the Taylor River outside of Gunnison.

You may want to look in ebike. Maybe it would help?

This was oddly recommended to me, even though I NEVER give out or search this spot! It's my "gateway" campsites to this and the surrounding Yampa area 🌲🏞🏔❤
*been coming up here annually since I was 14 years old, and I'm a few months from 54, now!

I'm always jealous of those that were able to see these beautiful places back in the days of paper maps and no cell phones.

I watched a lot of boring videos today, but this one takes the cake. Nothing personal.
