Larry Fuller - I'd Like to go Back
Col. Larry Fuller grew up in eastern Kentucky and went to Phelps Elementary School, later he went to Phelps High School before quitting and moving to Columbus, Ohio.
Fuller moved back to Kentucky in the early '70s and for the next 17 years worked underground in the McCoy-Elkhorn and Chisholm coal mines. Then one day while working in a mine, Fuller injured his back and had to quit. "After I got to where I could get around again, I started singing again and traveling," he said. "I moved to Irvine, Kentucky, and later to Richmond, Kentucky.
Fuller died on September 22, 2007 after his tour bus caught on fire as it sat in the driveway of Fuller's Richmond home. He was 58.

I grew up in the town Larry did in his younger days. Knew his family well. A great singer. A good person.

This song hits me hard...I grew up in the 90s but we lived in the old ways the house he described was just like the one I grew up in, one thing I'll always remember is that out old outhouse was 500ft to close in summer but 500ft to far away in winter!! Was hard times but much more simpler, I'd sure love to go back there...sadly it burnt down...I recently went by it and saw that it finally collapsed...sure makes me sad but I praise God for the days he did give me there.
