Magic Johnson did this job as a favor to the Lakers' organization and his friendship with the Buss' family - that's all. The truth is he didn't need this foolishness; they used him as the 'clean-up' man and he took all the hits but they gave Magic Johnson no power to control everything that he would be responsible concerning. So the issue is for the Lakers and it's their business and it's their fault. I find NO fault in Magic Johnson... he realized how he was being treated and acted accordingly - how they treated him.
