I think it was a bad move to bring Lebron James to LA . They have a lot of young talent and the players just aren’t following him. They want to establish themselves and when you have James on your team it takes your shine away because the focus is all on him it takes all the attention away from you and the up and coming players who want to make there own mark and or stand out and improve. I knew it was a bad Idea when the Lakers made Magic the President of basketball operations. I remember arguing with my boys about it a couple of years ago and them laughing my points off. What people never took into account with Magic is the fact that he is TOO nice.. Because of what Magic had to endure and overcome with his disease he had to humble himself and be grateful. Be grateful for life.. putting those kinda guys in a position where they have to now make tough decisions in regards to players and coaches livelihoods was never a smart idea. Rob Parker made the point that Jeanie Buss told Magic he couldn't fire Luke and I don't believe that at all.. Look at the timing. I agree that Jeanie may have wanted to keep Luke but if Magic really felt Luke had to go, Jeanie knowing who Magic is would've understood. Magic strangely stepped down a day before the season would end, look at what he eluded to in his press conference. He knew he would have to fire Luke Walton after the season was over, and he just couldn't bring himself to do it. He couldn't even bring himself to say Lukes name even though it was clear he was talking about him, Why else would he choose to step down before the season ended? Why the rush? Magic was too much of a nice guy to do it. Maybe the younger cockier Magic would've had no problem doing these things but Magic is just not that guy anymore. Him even crying about leaving it just shows how much of a kind guy he is. The man has a good heart, he's not cut out to make tough decisions like this, he wants to be everyone's friend, he wants to be liked by everyone. Now compare Magic to Danny Ainge in Boston. Do you think Magic would've had the cut throat attitude to trade Isaiah for Kyrie? Especially after Isaiahs sister died? Of course not, and that's the way you have to be. I think Magic realised that and exited quickly before he was put in that position. If it was a power thing magic wouldn't of rushed to leave the organisation so quickly. He is just not built for his role and its as simple as that.
