- Today I am sharing how to make a journal cover using fabric tape. Thank you so much for watching x Amanda
Tape is called Acetate fabric or cloth tape I chose 40 mm or 45mm width you can purchase from various places just make sure it has a backing on.

Must be popular on Temu, the 40mm and more are all out of stock for the acetate fabric tape, so I guess I'm gonna wait for trying to do the journal cover
You can get it on Ali express too.. Also on Amazon but at a higher price . Also I ordered 45 mm on Temu last night only slightly larger x
This is a clear & great tutorial Amanda. Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching! x
Oh that seems infinitely better. Thanks Amanda xxx
Faster anyhow ha ha x
@@Scrimpingmommy it's out of stock at present. Have asked for an update when it's available. I've tried Amazon and Ali express as well but they only seem to have very narrow or very wide ones. Xx

I love this idea! i had purchased some book binding tape and it wasnt sticky enough and i kinda forgot all about it, i will try this type! anything to save time so i can keep creating! thank you Amanda!
yes the key here is saving time and it really does x
Many thanks for showing this video. I've been trying to do a cover for a journal (my first) and not had much success. I will be buying this now and having a go. ❤❤
Glad it was helpful! x
This tape looks amazint tfs Amanda...Kia Kaha...
It makes the job easier for sure x
Another great, informative video. I'm loving that tape and would love to get some, but have visions of myself sticking to everywhere but where I want it 🙄 Will be having a scroll through Temu to find it. Thank you for sharing this 😊
First time you use it can be tricky but you soon learn how to adapt to it and its brilliant stuff x
Brilliant!
Thank you x
,
Marvelous! So quick and I’ve always had a problem with the gusset cracking or being too stiff.
Glad it helped! X
Thanks Amanda for pointing me in the right direction. A very helpful tutorial, thank you😊
You are so welcome!
I wasn’t convinced until I saw your finished cover. It really looked good. I’m not sure I could deal with the “stickiness.” Reminded me of my struggles weeding vinyl after cutting with Cricut. I wonder if you could accomplish the same thing with mat vinyl? Would depend on being able to glue to it. Thanks for the inspiration. Now to find the tape.
It’s not that bad once you get used to it xx
Great tutorial Amanda 🥰 I love your easy to follow along tutorial and the fabric tape looks good ❤ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
Thanks so much! 😊
This looks a excellent product….definitely will make life easier ❤ thank you xx
Yes it does! Thanks for watching x
This tape is fab! I'll definitely be investing in that one! So quick to use... thank you so much for the tips and tricks and for sharing, take care x
Thanks for watching x
Thanks for sharing Amanda! I've been using matte black contact paper for my albums (I cover the whole album just as we would with cardstock)..... but, I've no idea how strong it is or how long it will hold up. This fabric tape seems to be the best way to go. Thanks again!
You are welcome x
Great video Amanda. I have quite a few tapes similar, but never thought to cover the edges. I only use mine to strengthen the spine💜💜
Glad it was helpful x
That tape looks amazing Amanda I will have to try it. Can I ask do you use 1mm chipboard I think you have said in the past, my memory has failed me. Tfs this tutorial x👍❤❤
I don’t really know I recycle old card from 12 x 12 paper pads probz about 2 mm x
💜
I have some from a UK seller but I think it doesn’t have the backing as you said. Narrower, too, I think. We’ll see how I go, let Temu settle down!
Is it wafer thin .. this stuff is like super thin I would love to find a U.K. seller .. my Creative Spirit sells it but it’s no backing and looks thicker x
Its sold out on Temu at the moment
I got 45mm yesterday, they also sell it on Ali express and Amazon although Amazon is more expensive x
Where do I find the full tutorial for this journal ?
This video shares just how to make the cover the journal I created form this is called my large vintage eclectic journal there are several videos on it on my channel x
What size is the chipboard ?
For this journal my measurements were around 8 1/4 x 6 inches with a 3 2 spine. But you calculate the size based on the size of your pages so they fit your needs x
