People are surprised that as a nurse, I love being with and without people around. Getting into nature grounds me. It took quite a while of being in the woods camping to recover from the tragic events in the hospital. I can relate to what you said. Beautiful countryside- thanks again for sharing.
My best friend is an introvert and I'm just the opposite. We've been friends for decades and have found a balance between our differences. Meaningful relationships are based on how much effort you want to put into them. I think our society has brainwashed us into a group mind think that we can't tolerate anyone different from us. I have gained so much wisdom from my friend . I'm really looking forward to turning off the noise of society by being a Nomad. Thank you so much for your gem videos!
I love the way you say "what do you think?" to your animals. I do that too and never heard anyone else say that to their fur babies until I came across your channel. It's just one simple little thing in a sea of other little things that make me go "she's my people!" every time I watch your videos. I can tell that you were born and raised closer to the northeast side of this country, purely through your dialect and the way you express yourself. Much love to you and Sadie from Michigan!
I’m from NH and usually TH-camrs do not give NH the credit it deserves because they travel the major highway and leave because there’s no free camping. There is very little free camping but by charging is how NH keeps their campgrounds and public roads clean and repaired to travel on. NH is absolutely beautiful and I believe that it self alone is worth visiting NH. The town you traveled through with all the traffic was North Conway and one of our biggest touristy towns in NH. Thank you for all your kind words for NH and Maine. New England is beautiful, even the tourist towns. I absolutely love the history in NH and New England, I tried moving south to Florida but after 3 years, I decided my blood was true NH and New England blood and moved back home. Hope you come back to NH in the early summer before the summer tourist drive you out. We do tend to have rainy falls. Have you ever hiked the AT? Maybe that’s in your future, I will even watch Sadie for you 😍. Safe travels!!! 🦃
Hi Alison - I also live in NH - southern NH.... I agree with your comments on NH! If you have never been to Greenville State Park Campground - it has huge sites! Dry camping - but great!!!!
@@KatyInNH Hi Katy!!! I’m also from southern NH. Lived on the Seacoast pretty much all my life. NH to me has it all and is absolutely beautiful. Although, all of America is just as beautiful. But, to me NH has it all. The ocean, the mountains, cities (small) but only an hour or two to Boston. Not to mention the breath taking seasons and views. Happy Thanksgiving to all that celebrate!! 🦃
OMG I’m a Mainer lived there my whole life. Great camping in New Hampshire National forest, and northern Maine. Hope you have a great time and share your experience which I’m sure you did. Sorry I didn’t watch your video first but I’m watching great American football
New Hampshire is my favorite state. Moved to Texas from Derry, NH and I have climbed Mount WASHINGTON 5 times. Also North Woodstock is my favorite town on route 2 Kancamagus Highway. Enjoy your stay!
This video was absolutely beautiful, everything is so peaceful. That was funny when that lady recognized Saddie, and you. The drive was so relaxing, especially seeing the colors changing on the trees.
Fall is my favorite time, the colors at the start of the change, moving to peak, but then sad too soon. It always seems to end to quick. Very picturesque area, I really appreciate your photography and skill to do that on the move. Thank you’
I thought I was alone in the fact that I make plans with friends then dread the fact that I did… and just like you afterwards I’m happy I kept the plans because I enjoy myself when I get there. It really feels like an appointment though & I get anxious. I like being alone 😊 don’t tell my husband of 41 years 🤣🤣 happy to hear of your progress towards publishing 🙌
New Hampshire in October is my favorite time of year. Apple picking up there is the best, I'm glad you had a great time in New England and thanks for sharing and as always stay safe, safe travels, and God bless love ya Nancy
Carolyn, I appreciate your sharing of feelings about being an introvert. Most people think that an extravert is a positive, likable person and introvert is a negative, difficult person. Nothing could be farther from the truth. As an introvert, I was able to perform jobs, as writing, which would have tortured an extravert person, who wants to work with people. I truly love and appreciate people; I simply do not want them to crowd my space.
If you have never been to Maine, be sure to visit the ocean in Wells Beach - just beautiful. Then go to Ogunquit to Perkins Cove for scenic views and shops. Next, visit York. Ride the coastal route past the ocean for the views and go to Nubble Light! Lots of great places to eat and visit. Have a great time Carolyn!
AHHHH my heart! the MWV!!!! i saw close to my old home road! (lived in north conway for 23 years~ been gone just 10 months ) TABLE AND TONIC!!! Heather and Russ are my sisters clan and crew!!
If you live on the East Coast, we know all our States are fabulous and much more green then expected. I never get tired of hearing peoples surprise, when they leave NYC, they usually exclaim, "I had no idea, NY was so green".
I have been all around when I was in the service and people would tell me what’s with no coat? I have grown up here , been here in MA/NH all my life and all I can point to is my father in law (RIP Tom, we love ya and miss you) and he would always say something about being here and “ it gives you mud in your blood and stays with ya?” It always made me laugh when I am outside doing something foolish when shoveling off my stoop or walk way in a nor’easter in my skivvies! I been everywhere and I always think of here, in this region they always say that you live and die about a 100 miles from where you were born and it’s soooooo true! I hope you and Sadie had a wonderful time in the Northeast! Have a great day Carolyn!
Former Pennsylvania resident. Tip for fueling. Find a rock and wedge it in the pump handle. I had to fuel diesel schoolbus and had a perfect rock. Of course, never leave pump unattended.
I just watched a town in Alton New England Doc. The town hall is haunted . Several peeps tried to stay there overnight. If you are ever there would you go there ? Employees in city hall will not work in the building alone. I laughed when I thought of you. I live in Canada, I will never go there. LOL...anyways Now I will enjoy watching your vlog. Stay safe and enjoy your adventure.
Love your adventures Carolyn! You've described my "anxious" personality to a tee!! I thought there was a reason I love watching you so much. I admire your courage and love of adventure. I don't often enjoy watching TH-camrs in general. Most of them don't seem very relatable or sincere. Bravo to you doing your own thing with your little pal Sadie! When you have lived your life, you'll be able to say you fulfilled your bucket list I'm sure. Thanks for sharing.
I'm in way Norcal so I won't say rain go away. We're having a break right now & it's sunny but cold, as it should be. Stay cozy. The colors are spectacular. 🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🦃🦃🦃🦃🌥️
It was awesome to see you travel through VT and New Hampshire. When I saw North Conway it was really nice. I've spent many summer vacations in that area. Freedom and Lake Ossippi are gorgeous! So cool see know a place where you traveled.
You said it perfectly; and I have the same thoughts and anxiousness about meeting up with a friend, or people I don’t know or going to a party. I stress over it needlessly, and I know that I do, but it happens every time. Once I do it, I feel so silly for feeling that way. Doesnt matter, it happens every single time! I love being a homebody and I’m bad to ‘hibernate’ all winter. I hate cold weather! I sure am enjoying your videos of the UP and New England states. I did that trip a few years ago, and it was so pretty! Thank you for your videos! Enjoy your travels!
Wow, the same for me! I wonder if it has something to do with growing up in the Northeast? I indeed hibernated every winter happily! Maybe my body and soul got used to not being around people most of the year. I moved to Florida, then California and now live in Texas in a tiny house when I’m not traveling in my class c RV (but when I boondock, I’m just like you Carolyn, I laugh at what I go through to park away from anybody) and that anxiousness about going out anywhere where there are people, has never left me. Although like you guys, I’m great once I am wherever I was going. ??? 💞🦋🌈✨
Hi Carolyn, So nice to see you enjoying my neck of the woods. I almost flipped out when you were featuring the Local Grocer, it’s one of my favorite places to be. I have an art display there. I make my own watercolor paint from local rocks and my paintings are of local wildlife. Keep well and safe🥰
I think you were going through Wolfeboro in NH. Brewster Academy is there and yes, it is very touristy... always busy. The craft fair is usually pretty popular
About a month ago I tried camping in lower Michigan with a tent, first night great, rained the next 3!! Only good part it was a 🐎campground and I saw a lot of beautiful horses, people were ok too!!:)
Carolyn, thank you for letting me travel with you & the cute pup, since I am unable to do so on my own, dialysis 3 times a week, watching your video shows me places I don't get to see, find ✌️
Glad to have joined you on You Tube - I love your vlogs. I am retiring in Oct. 2022 and my husband and I are planning to build out an ambulance for our retirement home. I can't wait to see some of the lovely places you have been. Happy Thanksgiving, Carolyn!
I remember being In New England in the eighties. Tented all the way to the farthest city north I Maine. I see it's still beautiful and calm don't forget to have some lobster. Have fun.
Welcome to New England, where the scenery is beautiful but the weather is not always so great. :-) This is the first time I've seen your channel. It just popped up over on the side of my youtube page, and I'm so glad it did! I live in southern Maine, right across the border from New Hampshire, and I just love it here. I thoroughly enjoyed your video, and love your doggie, too. Looking forward to watching more. Oh yeah, I'm an introvert, too, and absolutely relate to the anxiousness after making a commitment to meet up with someone, even a close friend or relative.
Thanks for the virtual ridealong in New Hampshire. I'm very curious about that part of the country, because I strongly suspect I have some deep family roots there and hope to go poke around there someday. Looks gorgeous!
Funny, I spent 5 days in a state campground in AZ, and talked to no body. lol. And the first youtube I watched was this one, and I had been telling myself that maybe I should have talked to at least one person....but then why should I. I truly needed alone time to de-stress. Thanks for the beauty on your journey with Sadie.
I'm a NH resident and love our National Forests. I hope you had time to do some hiking if not please plan a trip back and hike the many trails of the Whites. Introverts unite (hehe) - I am one and totally get what you were saying.
So pretty up that way. I drove up from Virginia to Scarborough Maine and stayed with my best friend and her husband in September. It was so cold and they had all their windows open too. 🥶 went to her friends lake house to spend the night and it was in the 20's and everyone stayed outside by fire. Yikes it was freezing as was the outhouse. Hope you stayed up that way for peak season it is gorgeous. Trout and coffee have a YT channel and live in NH beautiful videography. Safe travels.
I can totally relate to having a mixed introvert/extrovert personality, and using upcoming plans with a friend as an example is dead on! I think that I (and other people in my life) always thought of me as totally outgoing, so I should be able to handle being frequently thrown into a new classroom of strangers as a kid, or a very high-volume people centric job. I did all that for years and would afterwards suffer from the most crippling exhaustion! . I finally figured out that I was reflectng back energies of all the people around me. Finally, as middle age advanced, then severe mobility issues, getting out has gotten to be a ridiculous hassle, and I do enjoy longer blocks of quiet to read or surf the net. Everybody else screamed bloody murder over the isolation during Covid. I really had no problem...to me it was just "Tuesday", lol.
I really understand the anxiety of a deadline, appointment, or a planned date of some sort. I live solo and have the freedom of doing what I want when I want to. I’ve been living this lifestyle for 10 years and Even though I want to get my art work submitted to a show on time, I want to get my eyes checked and get new glasses frames, or have a time scheduled with a friend to talk on the phone, The whole thing of not being spontaneous is now hard for me. Thanks for your great vids!🦌💌❤️🚙
Oh you need to get to top of white mountains - railway goes to top!! It’s really awesome! But yes it’s damp and cold to the bone in New England this time of year!
I’ve lived in New Hampshire since 1971 and love it. North Conway is a crowded touristy town but fun to visit. You missed showing Mt. Washington but maybe it was in the clouds. There is free camping off NH Route 3 near Twin Mountain and some sites accommodate RV’s. You’ll have to come back.
Your description of an Introvert fits me to a tee, since high school I've said I would be happy in the middle of no ware and at 66 I feel the same way. How did you like tiny house living? It looked so cute and cozy. This was a beautiful video, thank you.
Omg... Where do I begin? All the way through this video I had so much to say... This was excellent! I have spent so much time in New Hampshire but I haven't been there in a few years... It is gorgeous! I am a gluten-free vegetarian and when I saw that whoopie pie I envied you, lol! I am a religious person but not overly and I am not gay but I do believe strongly in acceptance and the fact that no one has a right to judge anyone. My daughter lives in Caribou Maine and is planning to move down to the Portland area early next year near her in-laws. I haven't been to the Portland area yet but I will eventually. These videos are great and I am totally enjoying this! I can't wait for the next video! I absolutely love living here in New England but I need to see more of it ASAP. Carolyn I am also an introvert (INFJ) and I understand totally what you are saying about the "anxiety" part of it... People don't get what it's like, but I sure do. It can take a lot out of you and I absolutely love and need my time alone. Don't get me wrong sometimes it's okay to be around people but not that often and not that long. I always stress out about get togethers and when it's over I feel relieved. There is peace in solitude. Anyways, your videos are phenomenal... Love each and every one of them. Take good care of yourself and safe travels.👍👍👍👍👍😁❤️
Hi Carolyn hi Sadie girl 🐾💞🐾 I really needed one of your videos tonight and this 1 was great as always😁 Beautiful scenery🍁🍂 I went to Maine my 1st year in the RV and I remember those gas stations and having to hold the handle and there was also a state where they wouldn't even let you pump your own gas. Had some great lobster, yum!! Then went to Nova Scotia and PEI😁 Found the singing sands, saw the bottles houses and met so many nice people💞
I am an introvert and my best friend is 100% the opposite. We get along fine . And I can hide behind her when I don’t want to talk to people . She has stuck up for me since she beat me up when we were 8 years old and I decide I wanted her on my side :)
I know what you're talking about. I have my own personal term for it. I call it emotional tension. I get tense especially around people that are friends with my now ex-husband. I experience a heightened awareness about what I look like, if my laugh feels forced, what exactly am I going to hear and what will get back to him. I swear Ladies and Gents if I hear "it takes two" one more time I will scratch their eyes out. I've heard it called social anxiety before but like you said, I HATE calling it anxiety. There's nothing wrong with the way I feel. I have every right to feel what I feel. So do you. Nature has been my security blanket through it all. Living near Lake Superior and feeling secure and away from all that mental sludge is liberating. Helps the mind clear and lets better and healthier perspectives form.
My personality is just like yours. I’ll make plans and get so nervous about it I will cancel the outing. But if I go I’m perfectly fine. But afterwards I do need to charge my batteries. Maine and NH look wonderful. One of these days….
Oh yes, North Conway is rarely without crawling traffic. Very popular with the Leaf Peepers. Sorry you hit NH with all of the rain. But looks like it cleared up in Maine. In the towns and cities, New England can be tight for travel. In the early days, they got around on cowpaths. Then the cowpaths became roads, the roads became byways and highways. No sprawling city planning like they did out west. Well, here's hoping that lobster roll is all you had anticipated. Happy Trails.
I totally understand what you meant by sort of anxiety both introvert & extrovert that is me 100% and never thought of how you explained it thanks for your insight and I'm glad you enjoyed the beauty in my part of the world New England safe travels oh and I hope you took the chance to drive the kancamagus highway so beautiful
My husband and I really look forward to your travel videos! Your hair is absolutely gorgeous Carolyn 😊 so much of it too! Just wanted to say, Happy Thanksgiving to you

Done. I wait with bated breath. My cat calendar is getting ready for retirement.
Chapstick wedges inside handle...holds open perfect kinda like kickstand.

I am a retired nurse, I agree!
Thanks for sharing Lola! There is such a peace that comes with being in nature.
I'm not religious, but I am gay and I appreciate you being an ally. What a beautiful place

Glad you enjoy it Tracy! Thanks for watching!
Born and raised in MA (live in FL now). The White Mountain area of NH was my favorite place to visit. Enjoyed seeing your video of the area!
Same here. I'm I FL for the weather, but thinking of moving back.
Great swimming hole but ICE COLD, even in summer.
The water rushing down the creek (river) is so relaxing.
I love Maine, visited some years ago, not enough time! I plan to return! Enjoy!
It’s nice to see a westerner come east and appreciate the beauty of our small Eastern States.
Well, I may have spent some time out west, but I grew up in the east. :-)
AHHHH my heart! the MWV!!!! i saw close to my old home road! (lived in north conway for 23 years~ been gone just 10 months ) TABLE AND TONIC!!! Heather and Russ are my sisters clan and crew!!

I appreciate you and Sadie being in my life ❤️✌️
I too am neither religious nor gay and I too am always pleased to see kindness. Maine has "drive through" expresso shops. OMG! Lobster Roll! Miss it!
New Hampshire one of my favorite states….I am native Calif, loved the little towns, greenery…was there to take my daughter back to college
Where I live, the rain starts in November and ends in March 😁. This is MY season. There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing 👍🏻.

I love Maine. Southwest Harbor, the quiet side of Acadia, is where I like to stay in a motel at the water’s edge. There is also a campground there.
It was awesome to see you travel through VT and New Hampshire. When I saw North Conway it was really nice. I've spent many summer vacations in that area. Freedom and Lake Ossippi are gorgeous! So cool see know a place where you traveled.

And the first youtube I watched was this one, and I had been telling myself that maybe I should have talked to at least one person....but then why should I. I truly needed alone time to de-stress. Thanks for the beauty on your journey with Sadie.
O’Doughs thin bagels, TY for this reco!
We hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving!!
I'm a NH resident and love our National Forests. I hope you had time to do some hiking if not please plan a trip back and hike the many trails of the Whites. Introverts unite (hehe) - I am one and totally get what you were saying.
It was too rainy for hiking, but maybe next time. Thanks for watching Norma!
Our country is so beautiful. Thanks for the video.
You're welcome Nancy!
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you are enjoying traveling with me!
Oh you need to get to top of white mountains - railway goes to top!! It’s really awesome! But yes it’s damp and cold to the bone in New England this time of year!
My neck of the woods. So funny to see you go over the Bath bridge. Georgetown is beautiful. Quite a few of my friends live there.
Introvert comments RIGHT ON!! I soooo relate. 🥰
It’s always busy on the weekends during leaf peepers season. If it wasn’t raining traffic would be worse
Yeah I'm getting tired of the rain too.
OMG scenery so beautiful
Thanks for the new video it was nice seeing all that good scenery in the Northeast
Glad you enjoyed it Jimmy! Thanks for watching!
Very picturesque!
How wonderful I did not know that it looks so beautiful out there
Your description of an Introvert fits me to a tee, since high school I've said I would be happy in the middle of no ware and at 66 I feel the same way. How did you like tiny house living? It looked so cute and cozy. This was a beautiful video, thank you.
Thanks for stopping by Grace! The cabin was nice for a recharge, but I couldn't wait to get back out on the road. 😀
Then went to Nova Scotia and PEI😁 Found the singing sands, saw the bottles houses and met so many nice people💞
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for tuning in and stay tuned for more...
I am an introvert and my best friend is 100% the opposite. We get along fine . And I can hide behind her when I don’t want to talk to people . She has stuck up for me since she beat me up when we were 8 years old and I decide I wanted her on my side :)
Beautiful campsite, looks like a peaceful place to spend some time when it isn't raining. Thank you for your awesome videos.🤗🥰🙏
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching Sharon!
I use my gas cap and stick it underneath when I'm pumping gas and it holds the lever up so I don't have to stand there and hold it
Great idea! Thanks for stopping by!
They took the clips off in Ontario Canada too..PITA!
My personality is just like yours. I’ll make plans and get so nervous about it I will cancel the outing. But if I go I’m perfectly fine. But afterwards I do need to charge my batteries. Maine and NH look wonderful. One of these days….
In NY you have never been able to keep the gas handle on automatic . At least in my 50+ years in the state .
Thank you Joyce and thanks for watching!
What about offering digital downloads that people can use as wallpaper calendars? That way international viewers can still get them and support you.
That is so pretty. Like the the Tip of the Arrowhead!
I think I recognise Jessica Frech singing in the backround. She's great!
I know I'm a late commenter, but I liked when you said get off your computer and get out and live.
Beautiful!!!! Think I could love living in that area ❤
My husband and I really look forward to your travel videos! Your hair is absolutely gorgeous Carolyn 😊 so much of it too!
