    Duke is in fact not at the top of every category on defense in the ACC lol. In fact Miami is ahead of them with YDS/G, Sacks, and Interceptions. Miami is the only team in the ACC allowing under 300 yards per game. The only category Duke leads on defense in the ACC is Passing YDS/G and Passing TDs. Per ESPN as of 10/29/2024

    coach I am so so so glad you are there. but our team played soft. I saw little enthusiasm, intensity, or urgency. The 1st string should have dominated FSU in the first half and hit the showers to let the backups finish the game. the same way FSU pummeled Miami the last few years. The same way the teams you and Don played on would do to far inferior teams. they played well enough to win, but well below their potential. I need to see WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP. but what I see is MEOW. particularly from the D. that will come back to haunt us.

    Not a lot of people know that Manny has a personal policy to not work past 5PM so he can spend time with his family. If I ran my business like that I would’ve gone bankrupt years ago. Manny’s poor work ethic also shows up in his players. No surprise we lost to FIU on his watch. That’s the work ethic for a cashier at the DMV, not a champion. We’ll beat Duke. Manny won’t be our bump in the road.

    • @johns1367
      @johns1367 15 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +5

      That has says nothing about his work ethic. That says everything about how he prioritizes the most important things; wife, children, and family. Teams can always get new coaches, but your family only has one husband and father. With all the being said, he was in over his head and was a mediocre coach and I am so glad he was let go.

      @@johns1367Disagree. I worked like a dog for 20 years building a business. My son and daughter saw me come home at 11pm from the office and understood that I was working hard for them. They understood that if you want an average life, work till 5pm. If you want to achieve great things, then everyone in the family sacrifices. You can’t have it both ways, unfortunately. They both got scholarships to great schools and are well balanced humans who know you have to work very hard to achieve big results and that means sacrificing time with friends and family. That’s just reality. Being a head coach with a million dollar + salary will require sacrifices to go along with it, if you’re serious about being the best. If you’re not willing to do what it takes, then be happy with the mediocre results Manny got when he was at Miami. This isn’t about being the district manager for Winn Dixie, this is about putting in the hours and time to win, regardless of the Millennial-speak. Anyone who says that can be done without the support, understanding and sacrifice from your family has never done it and never will.

      Lol. No HC at Div 1 has that policy. He might have been too green to win for the Canes, but what he is doing at Duke is showing his coaching ability.
