What a n incredible piece of music I’m going too explore more of this composer he is so underrated the orchestration is as good as any of the other romantic composers of the period and he had a gift for melodies and drama top draw worth the time thank you
Magnificent work!, very well accomplished in the german style. I don't agree with the people who compares this piece with the Alpine Symphony from Strauss, it's a complete different language in which i find different concepts of musical form and style.
Danke schön!!! Bamberg
The 7th may nopt be the ultimate in profundity, but it is clearly the most amiable, friendly, casual, colloquial symphony ever written!!!!!!!
Love the 4th movement!
Divina.
It's FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah, Raff 7, I love it !.
My own opinion? Far better then Richard Strauss's "Alpine Sytmphony"
Totalmente de acuerdo.
Alpine symphony is more complex and more profound in my opinion.
@@lucaogliari2912 Agree. These two pieces are totally at different levels. Raff's is a typical romantic middle-sized symphony. Strauss' is a gigantic early 20th century masterpiece that mastered all aspects of orchestration, tonal and post-tonal harmony, structure, and story telling.
But yes Strauss was inspired by Raff. Raff is a friend of hans von bulow, which is Strauss' teacher.
No, not better. Perhaps you should rather just say: you like this symphony far more than Straus' Alpine symphony- with such a comment no one can argue.
