For the SEV (Vertical Electrical Sounding) method, in which resistivity measurements are taken at different depths, how do I define the two layers for the calculation? I am currently working on ETAP 12.6.0
Thank you so much for your sharing, but i have a question that in some case, we design system with special shapes such as the grounding system of the wind turbine (Circle shape) or in case of low resistance need to install additional wells, in which case how to handle it. Looking forward to the answer.

Thank you so much for your sharing! However, I have some question for some part of the software function. For Soil Editor, Soil Analysis function, mostly you put data from filed test (4 points test/wenner);then, you got result from it. What is the difference between soil resistivity result at site and software? Other points, the result also show the depth of surface layer, how did software solve soil structure without soil investigation (Dig/SPT/etc method)? Thank you for your answer in advance!

Hello, the program requires the 2 layers soil model. Therefore it is necessary to convert the field test data into the the required model. The soil analysis helps the conversion. This conversion is similar to the Sunde graphic method as described by IEEE80. It is suggested to contact ETAP support for further questions as this topic is a little bit involved.

I'm really not trying to be a jerk here but in the interest of giving you some feedback that will improve future presentations, consider using the phrase Ummm a little less. You do it excessively and it makes it difficult to follow your information stream. Otherwise it was a great and thorough presentation!

Hello Christopher, generally you can still model the old substation based on its original drawings or you can measure its ground impedance.

Hi! I'd like to ask you how to associate the Rg value in order to modify line-ground faults, i mean Isc = Vf/(Z1+Z2+Z0+Rg). Thanks.
