  • I wanted to like these goggles so much, and they came so close. The Orqa FPV.One Race FPV goggles have amazing optics, wonderful menus, and premium build quality...but is that enough to plop down a wad of cash to own them? Race pilots might say yes due to the narrow field of view specifically geared for FPV racing. Let's take a look at all of the features, then I will share my thoughts and gripes so you can decide for yourself. Free willy!!
    My other gear:
    Radiomaster TX16S
    Radiomaster AG01 Gimbals
    Thumb Grippies Pinch Sticks
    Skyzone 04L Goggles
    HDZero VRX
    Lumineer Axii Micro V2 antennas
    TrueRC Xair2 patch antennas
    Happymodel 2.4G ELRS Pro Module
    FPV footage filmed on GoPro Hero 10 Black Bones with no stabilization...maybe (no but seriously)

    Most people would think these goggles have a small FOV but I fly goggles currently with only 29 FOV oleds and I’m used to it I guess. Lol I play video games on small screen 2. Nice video! Made me laugh a few times! 😆 loved the intro!

    • @BaconNinjaFPV
      @BaconNinjaFPV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I honestly didn't mind the 33 degree FOV at all either. I guess I could see it being a bummer if you are bashing bandos and having the middle of your screen a little more zoomed in to identify hazards is useful, but when you are going fast not having to move your eyes is a plus. I am kind of in the middle with my O4L's since they aren't super wide, but aren't super narrow either. Thank you so much for watching, and getting everyone at least one laugh was absolutely the goal!

    Take the VRX and put it into the back of your head. It's some hdmi cable design for Sony cameras ( but I am not 100% compatible). Great Reviews 👍

    • @BaconNinjaFPV
      @BaconNinjaFPV  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a unique approach for sure! I am not sure how the VRX would do back there with the patches designed to face forward, but i suppose you could fly turned 180 degrees to the quads position to cover it. Really nice point!

  • @RyanQuellet
    @RyanQuellet ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Your editing skills are impressive.🙂 I saw a mount for the VRX that puts it on top of the goggles instead of in front. It looked less weird and the weight distribution looked better. Still, the big issue is that there is no hdmi cable for these goggles. Huge issue - can't be understated. Let's hope something is made to improve this

    • @BaconNinjaFPV
      @BaconNinjaFPV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much man! I will have to look and see about that top mount. I suppose with the VRX4 you wouldn't necessarily have an issue with facing the VRX however and making the patches face forward. It is a real bummer that they chose the connector they did for HDMI when they absolutely could have put a mini in their instead. I honestly think the decision to use that was based around them hoping to keep users in the orqa ecosystem with their upcoming digital system, so compatibility wasn't a primary concern.

    Too many "gotchas" with these goggles, if you want to run systems like HDzero. And with WalkSnail potentially putting out a VRX that does mini HDMI input, these would be a hassle to adapt. That micro HDMI port was a huge mistake. Orqa should produce a cable themselves to help buyers deal with this, but until then, you'll have a huge mess on your face. Great points all in all, and review.

    • @BaconNinjaFPV
      @BaconNinjaFPV  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Absolutely man! The use of a micro HDMI was really the straw that broke it for me. I could have designed and PETG printed something that would mount in the 3 holes and hold something flat, but I can't do anything about the input options. If someone, Orqa or maybe one of the VRX manufacturers, makes a cable for them, it would be a much better experience for sure. Now if you are just going to run analog and hold out for the Orqa digital system (not really a great idea in my opinion), then they are amazing goggles. I really appreciate you watching sir!

    • @JohnCuppi
      @JohnCuppi ปีที่แล้ว

    Bro. I'm 100% with you. I fly the Orqa FPV One goggles with the new HDZero VRX. I agree 100% with you on every point. For me, It's just a pain in the ass with the 3d printed mounts. The 2 sided tape fails often. The cable is stupid. I am still shocked that nobody has come out with a cable. It's a fail either From Orqa or HDZero for not addressing the HDMI cable situation a long time ago. For me the solution will be to buy the new HDZero goggles when they become available to the masses. Until then, it's stupid 3D Prints and double sided tape. I wish I would have bought the Skyzone 04X goggles instead of The Orqa FPV ONE goggles.

    These come with 2x 0.5" Sony OLED screens way better than the O4L screens all you need is module I do not mess with hd zero or Vrx's waste of money if I fly analog I just run pure analog with a 800mw vtx through my skyzones or if I had orca just switch module back and forth .. Digital you use DJI V2 goggles $200 now everywhere used matched with the 03 air unit under $450 but flying fast is where analog shines NO NEED FOR THOSE HD MODULES ANYMORE pickup a used pair of V2's I did and they are like new for $217 on ebay now I finally have digital but analog for me is still way better I will get the orca 1's been looking for a oled screen 1 I like

      If you are going full analog, then I do agree these are amazing for that! The only real complication is when you want to add a digital VRX to them, as some people do. But, if all you ever want is analog then these are a pretty darn great experience for it. I will say though, the HDZero goggles and their analog deinterlacing give a better analog experience than these do...although the price and shipping delays may make the Orqa a bit more appealing.
