In all honesty, I don't follow this band like crazy, and I wouldn't even consider myself a fan. But this one song, since the first time I heard it years ago, is something I keep coming back to. It appears in every chapter of my life, and I'm sure it's going to continue to do so. It pulls so many emotions from me, more emotions than any other song has, and it does so consistently. It shatters me and patches me up at the same time, it always always always knows exactly how I feel. My childhood imaginary friend was called Emily, and this song that bears her name reminds me of all the perpetual loneliness I feel sometimes, and at the same time offers a comfort to me. Maybe we're all lonely sometimes because we're human? That means I'm human too. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life alongside this song.
This song is about loneliness, anxiety, and confusion, but has an infectious catchiness to it. "Emily let the night take me, down down down the rabbit hole," a neat pun on the album's title. - Jack Rabbit.
i remember having some ripoff soundcloud app that downloads random songs by genre to your phone, this song was in alt rock, & this was in October of 2014. I was in the 8th grade & i only listened to this and Nirvana, i would religiously listen to this song called 'emily' but it never showed who the artist was... took me a few months, but by summer of 2015 i knew as much as i could about these guys & listened to every song... i still love this song, this album, & Charlene Kaye's voice in the background, this whole song brought me through a dark time & now i can just appreciate the art:))
Tbh I'm not too keen on San Fermin's songs. But this one song is gorgeous. I was hooked from the beginning, and it has been so long since I have felt so attached and connected to music. Very emotional. I feel so raw and human listening to this.
+Tori Everdeen I saw them this past Monday! Gotta agree with you on enjoying them more than alt-J. Alt kinda rushed it, but these guys were amazing and loved to perform. The trumpet player came down to the front row (where I was) and like played right in front of me. Best concert I've been to.
I wonder if the band ever check the comments lol. I remember when i first discovered this song back in 2014 and i was in love with the band ever since, Allen’s voice is amazing
Lyrics eheheheh its never enough enough in the moment dont matter who i go home with late nights awake and alone with myself again and its loney im good im good its a good time keeping all my cousins in a straight line icant belive it all comes to nothing Emily let the night take me, down down down the rabbit hole dug in deep with my unbelife and im running on empty 345 the steps lead right down, down down the rabbit hole gotta get out my head tonight lets foget about it Leave it all alone tonight and were waiting on a moment when it feels dont want to talk about it i got every thing i need dont leave me lonely dont leave me lonely baby here in my blurry condition i hide myself in the room n tell them all that its nothing alone with all these humans in a fever leaving after midnight young unbeliver in the dim light i cant belive it all comes to nothing Emily let the night take me down down down the rabbit hole dug in deep with my unbelif and im running on empty 345 on the steps lead right down down down the rabbit hole gotta get out my head tonight lets foget about it Leave it all alone tonight and were waiting on a moment when it feels dont want to talk about it ive got every thing i need dont leave me lonely dont leave me lonely baby Emily let the night take me, down down down the rabbit hole dug in deep with my unbelife and im running on empty gotta get out my head tonight
This is from Linda listening on Gene's music. This song is so great and singer is hot as hell to look at handsome as hell the female singer is gorgeous as well
yo tony bologna glad to see someone like the vibes of this song still they did a great job putting this song together huh? i mean it sounds word for word huh? like the lil mini dress lady she puts good twist to it .
I really liked their very organic sound in the first album, now everything in "Jackrabbit" seems too overproduced and sterile. It's by no means bad, but I really was hoping for more of the rich, warm sound they we so good at producing in "San Fermin". Oh well, it can't always be the same.
Im hoping that the full album has it when it is played through, if i only heard sonsick, and methuselah off the old one, i might have thought it was just some alright band instead of a Beautifal one.
qwgar Good point. Of the three songs they've released so far, I DO really like the title track, "Jackrabbit". Maybe "Parasites" and "Emily" are this album's "Sonsick" and "Methuselah".
I agree I agree! I play the song so much that my friends are sick of the song. It is a magnificent song. But it does not capture the nuances of the band like the rest of the album does, to me Daedelus and even altogether changed shows something that isnt in Sonsick and methuselah. Their attention to detail in all of their songs is impecible and that isnt shown in those two. But they are beautifal songs
Having listened to half the album now, I’m a little disappointed. They’re clearly very talented musicians, but none of these songs are living up to their opening track, “The Woods”.
oh my gosh what the heck was that ? the woods ! I did not expect that at all ! pulling legs off lizards and painted faces with spiders blood lol ! wtf !
This song comes on the radio at my work, and I must say *this is a uniquely annoying and bland song. I thought it was that “Milky Chance” douche, but it’s some other dude who sounds nearly identical playing his neo-trash. It’s rare that I’m driven to finding a song and expressing my dislike of it, but this song is just that annoyingly bad.*

Emily..... your imaginary friend...!? do I know her😜👁️💯🎼🙏💞
Emily.... @Asmrs...😜🤔💪💪💪👁️👍🏿👍🏿💯
Love this. I feel you.
Emily ?💝
Agreed
This song is about loneliness, anxiety, and confusion, but has an infectious catchiness to it. "Emily let the night take me, down down down the rabbit hole," a neat pun on the album's title. - Jack Rabbit.
It's actually about getting high by himself, and not on weed, because his girl is gone for a while now and no other girl can seem to replace her
Here's to hoping these guys explode in popularity
They have! At least in my opinion... 4 years later & still tell my friends about them to this day:))
@@miniclip7951 a bit, should be way more popular than they are !!
Lol
seriously this band gives me life
This song is 1 of those hidden gems that changes how you feel but you easily forget about it. Like that person you once knew.
Good music keeps me alive. I feel the creator of life is inside my body every second when I listen to this song.

Saw em at Corona Capital last weekend. I totally fell for Singer's voice and The Sax sound.

Arg! They're in Seattle tonight! How I wish I can go to have them make my ears bleed rainbows!
Very underated song. I listen to it every time I can. ~~

I was there too front row on the floor and I loved them so much....the trumpeter was amazing too and their vocals were incredible
I didn't see them, but I had friends at that concert. They said they liked it

I'm loving this song #SanFermin. I can't find this song on Spotify.
Yay! Thanks for adding it to Spotify :)
Does this band have more songs where this singer sings? I really like his voice especially.
He is the only constant in their list of singers. Check out their song Methuselah
seen them live at reading festival absolutly amazing live band
I wonder if the band ever check the comments lol. I remember when i first discovered this song back in 2014 and i was in love with the band ever since, Allen’s voice is amazing

Lyrics
eheheheh
its never enough enough in the moment
dont matter who i go home with
late nights awake and alone with
myself again and its loney
im good im good its a good time
keeping all my cousins in a straight line
icant belive it all comes to nothing
Emily let the night take me,
down
down
down the rabbit hole
dug in deep with my unbelife and im running on empty
345 the steps lead right
down,
down
down the rabbit hole
gotta get out my head tonight
lets foget about it
Leave it all alone tonight
and were waiting on a moment when it feels
dont want to talk about it
i got every thing i need
dont leave me lonely
dont leave me lonely baby
here in my blurry condition
i hide myself in the room n
tell them all that its nothing
alone with all these humans
in a fever leaving after midnight
young unbeliver in the dim light
i cant belive it all comes to nothing
Emily let the night take me
down
down
down the rabbit hole
dug in deep with my unbelif
and im running on empty
345 on the steps lead right
down down down the rabbit hole
gotta get out my head tonight
lets foget about it
Leave it all alone tonight
and were waiting on a moment when it feels
dont want to talk about it
ive got every thing i need
dont leave me lonely
dont leave me lonely baby
Emily let the night take me,
down
down
down the rabbit hole
dug in deep with my unbelife and im running on empty
gotta get out my head tonight
My favorite 💞make me change

This is from Linda listening on Gene's music. This song is so great and singer is hot as hell to look at handsome as hell the female singer is gorgeous as well

Damn Lindsey really showed me this song then dipped

My last name is Furman. Eerily familiar to Fermin.
Stop trying to pretend you're special, it's not that big of a coincidence
+RockME AllDeus, +RussianAsian8D2 , TheTrooper112 You guys are so right. I lead such a boring life!! I would love to see them in concert!!
AHHAHAHAHAH IM DEAD
Does this song remind anyone of Disco Elysium?

qwgar SONSICK IS THE BEST SONG EVER
I agree I agree! I play the song so much that my friends are sick of the song. It is a magnificent song. This album is good, but to be honest I liked the first one more.
Allen Tate is a dream.
This song came out at the wrong time 😭😞 because it is an amazing song
Ohai I'm Emily
Having listened to half the album now, I’m a little disappointed. They’re clearly very talented musicians, but none of these songs are living up to their opening track, “The Woods”.
oh my gosh what the heck was that ? the woods ! I did not expect that at all !
pulling legs off lizards and painted faces with spiders blood lol ! wtf !
I hear Zelda in here,,,
How so? I'm trying to listen
Rob Whetzel ahh I hear bits of Saria's Song/Lost Woods in the trumpet that starts about 1 minute in.... hey listen! lol
coreycoreyful I see what you mean!!! Makes the song that much better :)
This song comes on the radio at my work, and I must say *this is a uniquely annoying and bland song. Brah 😂 it’s not that bad. Also my favorite song lmao. And milky chance is not a douche.
He’s a cu nt
