Hello very interesting video. I have a question. After you take off the dashboard did you find the cooler of the air conditioner behind ? Because i have gas leak on some part behind the dashboard 🙏
Was it difficult to remove the plastic cover behind the steering wheel for the mileage indicator? Mine is moving /some bolt might be displaced/ and making a squeaking noise when going over a pothole and would like to rearrange it. Had my dash recently done
If you mean the whole gauge cluster, yes it’s super easy to be removed. 1 screw holds the Bessel around it and then the whole gauge cluster is held by 4 screws
Asking a silly question here, which part of the dashboard removal will allow me to replace the speaker on back of instrument cluster to fix the indicator sound for turning, seatbelt, doors, etc? 2008 Jaguar XF
I think about 4 hours. Don’t remember correctly. I was taking my time and was careful not to scratch break plastics. And also Didn’t use power tools for the same reason.
Few hours if not rushing- which you should never do on dash boards ( I don’t use power tools on dashboards too because if you strip one bolt or break a clip it will start squeaking )
@@thegamepz naah. i tried to jump it. but nothing. so after i connected everytin, all lights on ooutside n inside was on, but not lights on dash. or cluster. i will try to connect them back again, after i am done today.
@@h7pubg you got to take our battery connectors. And attach them together for all night or some hours. They call it draining, After that, power be back again. Also, when u connect back. Connect positive first. Good luck
MOst XF's will have dropped in value so much...a repair like this would probably cost 1/3 of the cars value . cheaper to use a really high quality leather glue (NOT a instant super glue ) and inject it under the leather , spread it around and then using a roller etc squeeze the leather down and put heavy weight etc to allow to dry . DONT do to much in one go. slowly slowy !
you cant really do that. Leather usually shrinks and tears along the seam, making it impossible to glue without having huge gap. Cheapest option is to find good one from junkyard and swap it
Thanks for taking the time to post this. Super helpful. The leather on my dash also needs sorting.
Look for used dash from junkyards.
I’m glad its helpful 👍👍👍
really nice work i will try myself to do it for my car XF 2010 , i like to work by my hand

I didn’t look for it.
I’m sorry, but if you have to remove the dash you can see the steps
