Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This TH-cam channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

The lower stress levels really showed. You looked to be enjoying the golf a lot more than in some of the recent Break 75 episodes. More of these may help revive the old Rick, and would be fun to watch 👌

Gonna stick my neck out and say that although it was a fun video, I prefer them playing independently. Lots of scramble content out there. You(Rick) struggling but then making a brilliant shot, it's electric. It makes me want to go out and play. I'd stick to your bread and butter.
Scrambles might be fun to play but they don’t have the elements we all have to put up with when playing a round. Getting one go at something is what makes golf hard. Score is irrelevant in a scramble, it’s not an achievement. Personally, I much prefer Break 75 and would like to see you playing in the sun because I see enough of crap conditions when I play, I watch these for an escape 😂

Scrambles are so good for your confidence and make you forget your bad shots so quickly. I love following up a solo round against friends with a quick 9 scrambling with them.
I love scrambles, unless I feel like I'm solidly the best player on the team. My work does a golf tournament every year, using a scramble format. When I'm on a team with someone about my same skill level or better, it's really liberating. Last year, I was the only one on my team that had played more than twice the whole summer, and two of the players had to borrow clubs from someone else so they could even play. It felt like I was basically playing solo, with three other people shadowing me. One of the most stressful rounds of golf I've ever played (but also one of my most focused rounds, since I felt like they were relying on me to at least keep them competitive). Definitely a double-edged sword...
@@AllTradesGeorge yeah, I don't like playing with people I don't know much at all. When it's with coworkers, friends, or family that don't play too much I enjoy it as long as they are enjoying the game.
Scrambles are great fun; especially when you have partners that have complimentary strengths.

I love this format for your efforts to reach the target of breaking 65. After watching many Break 75 episodes, oddly in this episode I felt more engaged and encouraged you would achieve breaking 65. Great content, keep up the good work!
What a fun format - scrambles always seem to let you be more relaxed and have fun. It’s also great to see the interplay between the two of you. Keep them coming!!
scrambles are underrated, should be played more often. would be fun to see scrambles in tour pro golf too. not too sure how it would work though regarding teams

Golf was good, but the 7th “hole” break with Steve Carell was hilarious!! Also I have to ask, am I the only one that wears my glove from hole #1 all the way back to the truck when loading up the clubs???

I just think he’s a nice and calm, happy dude, which I prefer seeing play golf over more negative-minded people. I don’t know anything about him and Finch so I can’t speak to that

TH-cam MIxed Scamble World Championship: Starts with a champions league esqe draw. Seeded men and women get seperated in to pots to create even matchups, with higher handicap men paired with lower handicaped women and vice versa.

I think all of golf should be played as a 4-way scramble. Forget playing *against* each other, just play against the course. It would be MUCH more fun, especially for mid-to-high handicappers that struggle to string good shots together, but can still get the occasional great shot. You could also play the round much quicker, and everyone in the group is invested in helping each other get a great shot. And yes, you could still bet on who has the better drive each hole, who sinks the most puts, etc, etc.
More scrambles please. An absolute blast to watch!
Rick / Guy, definitely think you should make this a monthly event. Loved to see the positivity and confidence from both of you. Take that into the Break 75, but to help focus if you are more than 2+ after 9 holes no sausage roll!! 😊

I have a radical suggestion and not everyone is going to like it: The reason there are no bad speaker reviews on Y-T (or almost none, anyway) is because there's too much stuff out there to review, for the reviewer to waste his time saying "don't buy this." With that in mind, I recommend dropping the Break-75 episodes that were characterized by unusually bad play (such as Bay Hill). I recognize that this would take some of the suspense out of this, but the bad-round episodes are just *seriously* no fun to watch.
Its always a treat to see Guy play along side Rick! what an excellent duo, on and off the podcast lol
I hope these 2 come to the Good Good Major!! They’d be absolute great entries!

I really like it when Guy plays, his golf is sometimes hit and miss like all of us but his short game can be a joy to watch. The other thing is his and Rick's chat is so engaging and makes me feel like I am there with him and Rick.

Sacked it off after a bit. Not sure who decides how many adverts. But that was ridiculous.
I love the break 75s but this was a fantastic change of pace. Really hope there are more Rick & Guy scrambles.
Only downside was the course GM bloke being there. I'm sure he was a super nice guy but it kind of felt like there was a parent supervising the whole time.

So much fun to watch. Scrambles tend to stay much more positive, and it's been rough seeing you disappointed with mistakes on break 75. A few more of these lighter-hearted challenges sprinkled in would be a major plus in my books!
Hey Rick, Love the videos! I've learned a lot from watching them! I wish you would put your club selection and yardage under your score for each hit. I know it might be a little more work during editing but it would be an awesome addition to help when I don't hear it or can't see the club. I know not everyone hits their clubs the same length but would be nice to know what club you chose for different distances. Thanks and keep up the awesome work!

Guy is not a very good winner, he would drive me crazy playing with him in a scramble lol. Can't really blame him for being happy with his shots though, but from experience, being the guy not hitting good shots in a scramble, don't remind me I'm playing shit 😂

This was great! Would love to see a Break 65 with Guy mixed in between the Break 75s every once and a while. I think you guys should come back to JCB and take on the challenge again at some point because you definitely could have done it with a better front 9.

It looks like I am the only one who does not enjoy all those scrambles that are being played all over TH-cam. Tennis players have a second service but NOT ON EVERY BLOODY SHOT! Scrambles make Golf much easier but essentially, it means you have capitulated. Golf has won! It is too hard for you! Why not go all the way and only play minigolf/ crazy golf? Rick could use his Putter all the time and Guy would not have to fear hitting one O.B.
Occasionally, a scramble may be nice to boost your confidence but please do not become another one of those exhibition golf channels.

Jesus Rick, you need to take yourself less seriously. You take everything as if it's a jibe. You come across insecure. I knew at the start of this video there'd be some tension. It's as if anyone not on your level isn't worth their opinion.
Rick, really enjoy your videos. Here's a suggestion. You play many top courses, the likes of high handicappers just dream of, why not play a few holes of smaller clubs, municipals, some that may be struggling and in need of publicity? Local golfers would enjoy seeing their local 9 hole course or little known 18 hole courses featured and see how you would play them. Greens not perfect, pins set 'illegally', etc etc.
