if you have time please help recommend, I'm looking to get my first RWD drift MST but I don't know which one would be better for Asphalt drift, RMX, FMX or FXX ? it seems like RMX would provide best grip and speed and FXX might be too slow or have I got that the other way around. Then I though I probably cant go wrong with FMX :)
Hello from BKK, where you live? and thanks for watching this VDO too, I am RMX 2.0 S user who go with rear motor conversion kit over 4 years (before RRX 2.0 S released) and this is my opinion >>> if you no need to go by too much of budget, you can run with RMX 2.0 S RTR, you can find OPB VDO and test run in another channel, brushed or brushless, both are good for saving budget too and can upgrade to pro version with any parts of chassis too >>> FXX 2.0 S the driving style is super close with real car because engine bay stay in the front but in RC physics, we don't have much horse power like real car so FXX is harder for setting up chassis to go with high speed like the rear motor position (RMX, RRX, FMX, D5, YD-2(any version), Overdose Galm, GRK R31House, etc BUT I think I love the sliding style of FXX 2.0 S and now I am already got this one but not assemble yet , FMX 2.0 LCG is great choice too because out of the box come with more upgrade parts (main chassis, alu shock) and after I am running this car for shooting VDO, I think FMX is good for speed and totally different in transition action while drifting if we compare with any chassis but this one coming with higher price more than RMX, FXX, RRX too :D
@@RaceInPeaceisHere thank you for quick reply. I'm in New Zealand, I always do AWD CS drifting with Tamiya TA-06 / XV-01 and I mostly do it on outdoor high grip asphalt driveway with MST blue dot and PC tires. Can do a lot of high speed drift with it, the XV-01 is a lot like the FXX but with Belt, it was very difficult to setup and get it just right for drift, many hours of testing and failing but satisfying result, great angles.
I noticed that RWD are often slower in comparison to CS cars for outdoor drift, so looking for the fastest RWD MST chassis, I think sounds like the RMX is the way to go.
My budget is a choice between RMX 2.5 RS or FMX 2.0 LCG, the FMX is cheaper at the moment nearly $100, but the RMX RS adjustable engine position is also really good.
RMX 2.5 is coming with new gear system and new adjustable option with shock but FMX is old option with that, nice to meet you here and keep fun with your hobby time, stay safe too lml/
I’m a 1/8 off-road racing guy, but wow… This MST kit is gorgeous. The fit, finish and design are beautiful.

while everyone is moving to rear mount motor, MST decided to go the other direction....
this is not more "realistic" and no one will see it any way...
makes no sense...
MST have various layout to play, this is hobby and I am RMX user who play with rear motor conversion 3 years ago, you can go with another chassis man, make your great choice, go with your sense ^^
@@RaceInPeaceisHere Oh I have a YD-2S, I am just saying its weird they are going mid motor while everyone else is going rear.
Oh nice and for me, YD-2 E and S are my favorite chassis too, my second chassis is YD-2 E after try with D4
I started with an mst rmx 2.0 rear low mounted motor I then switched up and tried high mounted rear motor. That worked and felt better.
I now have a plastic mst fxx and a kmw fxx. Both front mounted motor and they handle totally different to the rmx. The rmx I found I had to work to drift the fxx is effortless. The rmx and fxx are 2 totally different chassis and 2 totally different drives.

Obviously an old video. BUT.... 2 things missed here. 1. the o-rings you placed on the outside of the shock body must be installed inside the spring collar NOT floating on the outside of the shock, to prevent pre-load adjustments from wandering. 2. when building the shocks like you did using the rebound setting you must have the lower spring retainer on too. All that bearing oil put on everything is a magnet for accumulating dirt and dust will hinder movement.

I just bought the shell because they discontinued the rtr one, hopefully its got everything that I need to get it spot on like the one you did, my mazda is bagged and would love to replicate it for car meets and stuff. Don't know if they have the oem aero kit for this gen hatch in 1/10 scale though
Rocket bunny parts is not perfect fit so I modify it myself

I own a MST RRX 2.0 and I love how easy is to setup drifts and move it along the track now looking to add another chassis and been thinking of a Yokomo YD2 Eplus since a lot of people like the S vs E I want to be different :P

What was the liquid u put on the bearings in the glass and what was the stuff uput onthe plastics. Im building my first kit and no were in book does it say use anything but ball diff grease on the balls n the black grease on the very tiny balls.?? Also how can i tell which ball bearing is which they all look the same size other than the 10x15 even the spacers. Can you or some please help me out
In the glass is RONSONOL and tiny balls need black grease for assembly, you can check it in manual man

Because after ps37 is sparkle so brighten and deep dimension more than silver

What kind of battery did you use? I bought one off of eBay and it is too big for my holder

Try to find ReveD or Yokomo short battery, they are the lightweight batt, less weight go faster and great for transition while drifting

The ball bearing oil (in this VDO I'm using Kyosho Branding)
Chassis looks little bit weird..
FXX Front + RMX upper deck + middle motor mount = FMX (?)
Drift chassis layout is so variable that every layout has been done by someone.
each chassis have various character and style while drifting and transition for battle, for me I think FXX is like real car while playing the most, FMX very fast for transition and RMX YD-2 D5 are rear motor position so they are faster more than FXX or FMX because weight lay out but you can find for best setting to play with your friend, competition or for your hobby time ^^
