Am i the only one felt like this? Because for me, ragnarok combat is BETTER than 2018 (except the missing barehanded skill tree, let just ignore that for now). BUT the 'FEELS ' and SATISFYING IMPACTFUL HIT when you hit an enemy was waaay better in 2018.
Dude.. you are right., feels and satisfaction especially for the blades is better in 2018, and a big part of that is due to *"SOUND"* .. bcz people expect sound to be obvious, it sometimes goes over their heads when it is quite poor... and the blades sound in ragnarok is poor that is why when you slice an enemy with them, you sometimes dnt feel like you are making an impact... Unlike in 2018 where you heard every swing and it sounded diff when it made contact with an enemy. But dnt get me wrong, the blades move much faster in ragnarok and that makes them way better than in 2018.

I agree the only think I like better in 2018 was the armors, like the smoldering brimstone basically made kratos look like he’s on fire maybe the build’s because I felt way more powerful on 2018
They should keep combat like this and just add options to charge Axe or options to whiplash instead of blade stab. Just combat options depending on preference etc.... Lol

Looking into learning modding now - first one would be gow2018 replay for a switched, more challenging and skillful experience. Permafrost etc would charge 25% slower but frost 100% longer for vaporise etc. Lazer nerf. All items buffed to be viable. Stance switching axe pause move +75% dmg reduction n stagger during for first hit taken in combo or tbh probs better just altering combo to something like freezing 3 enemies at once or burning and freezing an enemy enables a powerful protected 3 swipe axe combo: same as before but immune during the 3 atks and split sec after. Slightly increase parry frames, but also if able guard broken causes dmg to kratos like he took the hit, but also increases retaliation dmg for parries and shield retaliation stacks with unbroken parry strings so 4 boss parry in a row = massive hit on them (on gmgow taking 2 hits from hard bosses can kill so not op. So much i wana do. Why gow modding scene so bad?
On my opinion I think gow 2018 is better than ragnarok because I feel that the runic attack effects is much much better than ragnarok and the agile strike... I don't know the actual name

Nah you’re 100 percent right. Especially when it comes to the blades. Also I miss the old blades stance. That shit was so cool with the dodge cancel
feels more impactful but that’s because it’s slower. I like it but definitely prefer the speed of ragnarok over the impact of 2018
