- Here’s one of the best amusement parks at the beach- right on Ocean Boulevard. We bumped into the Smoky Mountain Family as we ride the rides and try out the legendary All-wooden Swamp Fox Rollercoaster from 1966. Don't Get Scared!!

Yes but nowadays I'm getting too old. Lol.
Did it get any better? 3 years ago I sat last for and got the worst whiplash of my life. I couldn’t move my neck for weeks. I hear they got some of it refurbished.

Yes, one of my all-time favorite roller coasters, the Swamp Fox! Although it was daylight while you all were there, it looks like they’ve removed the track lights? That always made the night rides so cool, the motion track lights.

@@BeachinwiththeBoones Yes great video, and I hope to make it there this summer as well. Checkout my night time video of the Swamp Fox, has some cool scenes and front seat POV footage as well. That was back about 20 years ago, the rides colors then were purple rails and lime green track with the white structure. Normally rough woodies I hate but this is actually fun and I ride it a bunch while on vacation and I never had headaches

They have made some great improvements lately.
I went there last month during my 2023 Myrtle Beach vacation! 😃 I even rode the Swamp Fox Roller Coaster 3 times in a row! 😂

Ok guys this to me is your best video I've watched course you know I'm going to tell you why lol! I love amusement parks so when I was 15 in 1970 some friends chickened me into riding that darn swamp fox. Scared the sh-- outa me. When I got off I puked like a volcano. Never rode it again until my daughter was 12. She wanted to ride it my wife and son said no! So it left dad. So I rode it again after 30 years. Same result for me and. My daughter loved it and everyone laughed at dad. Never again. Loved the video. Thanks for posting. It still sounds a rickety as it did in 1970!!!! Larry
I know. It shook us around like crazy. I probably wouldn't have rode it if I wasn't filming.

What do you guys think of the Zipline Adventures Place I think it looks stupid because when ever I go to Family Kingdom taking that way it literally looks abandoned. I think it needs to close because I refuse to believe they are still getting a lot of people like they did when it first opened
I think you are exactly correct. We've seen it operating once or twice in the last 4 years and we ride by there all the time.

Y'all remember the Pirateland amusement park? They had the corkscrew coaster when it only had 1 loop. When they closed down the corkscrew was moved to the pavilion and a second loop was added.
Wow I did not know that. I wonder where it's at today if it's even working.
@@BeachinwiththeBoones I googled it an found this .. After the closure of the park, both of these small coasters were moved to the NASCAR Speedpark in also in Myrtle Beach. In 1978, the park added its first major coaster, which was the steel looping Corkscrew, also built by Arrow Development, that had been relocated to the Pavilion from the Magic Harbor amusement park.

A looping coaster like an El Loco would be so good here very forceful and compact I think they could have room for that coaster model. I hope they will remove their Wild Mouse

i wonder why they take credits, the only themepark I've been to is silverwood, so why? (silverwood just lets you ride anything, no tickets needed)

Just curious if i may ask. Does anyone remember the tilt a wheel across from the grand pavillion next to tne bavarian organ! I rode that thing once on a date when i was 20 because she loved it. Another big mistake lol. That thing spun around so fast and then it tilted and they dropped the floor out. Total insanity. I could hardly stand up after that one. Just curious if anyone else took that ride from hell! Lol
No I don't. But I do remember something similar at Carowinds when I was younger. I wrote it eight times one day and the next day I was sick. Lol
