You did the wall slide tutorial with Gabo Saturno. What should I do if I can't get my arms flat to the wall at all when having my back flat against the wall?
Any advice on post-workout nutrient intake for a calisthenics workout? I come from a body building background, and I’m wondering if there a much of a difference in the body’s post-workout needs for this kind of exercise vs bodybuilding. Thanks.

I hope Daniel doesn't mind this, but I'm downloading the entire channel in 1080p for archival reasons - just in case there's ever any copyright tomfoolery or the channel gets flagged for some reason. That's how valuable I consider this channel, it's been an absolute education for me and I can't think of any other calisthenics resource that's as thorough, well-presented and comprehensive. Completely changed the way I approach this sport, trying to remove my ego and learn following the steps that Daniel sets out. He seems like such a decent level-headed guy too ... deserves nothing but success.
Just started adding more rows to my workouts, was primarily doing pull ups until abaut 2 months ago when I hit a plateau, rows really helped me overcome it incredibly fast.
This right here!, the full back engagement I get from the tucked front lever rows is something I just haven't experienced with any chin/pull up variations so far
@@joshblackwell310 Virtually nobody is able to fully retract scapula on tuck front lever rows, a lot easier on pull ups to do that for full back contraction
Awesome vid! I personally have trained inverted row on a static bar for years without considering rings and... I which I had knew earlier. Rings allow me to adjust the intensity (by adjusting the distance to the floor) and go easier on my joints. It's great to see how Dan explains the pros/cons of every approach to training, without dogmatising why you should train one way or another. Thanks for keeping it informative and focused on knowledge, so I can make the best decision for my personal goals and body. Great educator for sure!
Thanks Daniel I never thought of the weighted row. I have always done the tuck and advance tuck row. Really happy to try the weighted row. As it’s really hard to progress from tuck to advance tuck. Took well over a year. I think I will make better progress with weighted rows
Top notch, as always. Loved the ingenious setup of the dip belt for rows. I've been using it for pushups and it never occured to me to use it for rows. Nice.
Have been thinking all week I need to add more rows into my routine, taking the rings out this weekend and BAM this video drops. Thankyou Daniel another top quality video!!
So the longer the lever the harder the skill. That’s why the straddle posture makes so much sense in between tuck and fully extended legs. Thanks, FitnessFAQS!!!!
I can see that adding a pause and isometrics is really gonna speed up the process for me. I feel like calisthenics is so much better for mind muscle awareness
Always very thorough info. Often I don't like to watch videos more than 10 minutes long. With your channel, I make an exception because there is no waffle, no flannel, just quality info. I certainly will be buying rings later this year.
So awesome that Daniel explains the dark parts from bbr, like the one mentioned here (engaged vs disengaged scapula), because he really sheds light and reduces the mostly unwanted paralysis by analysis :D
I like using the full range of motion during inverted row. I like to use ring rows with forearm twist to go from pronated to supinated grip. I sometimes also use the dip bar of my roman chair for the row.
Damn, this video is top notch quality! I was doing rows today thinking about how should I progress with them and this is perfect 👌. P.S.: I like the new place, and cool lighting setup!
The best channel on TH-cam. And not just for calisthenics. The principles espoused by FitnessfFAQs are top and should be applied to all forms of resistance training. Currently using 'Home Hero', my goal is to master the basics before investing in Body by rings. Thanks a lot mate, you're a legend ❤️ Sending my love to all Aussies, beautiful country, amazing people!
Bem na hora q eu estava treinando bíceps e costas! Muito obrigado por compartilhar gratuitamente esse conteúdo, você continuou muito para a minha evolução e aprendizados sobre exercícios com peso do corpo. Você é incrível. I love you
I'm liking the arc row bcoz it's like the pseudo planche push ups of the row - you do not need to go unilateral or add weight to it. It's hard on it's own.
Incredibly detailed video. This definitely inspires me to start doing these. I've been really struggling where to include Pendlay rows into my routine but think these are just as good if not better for the mid and upper back. I find Pendlays are more of a power move with momentum once the weight is moving and pausing at the top is impossible unless you halve the weight. Awesome stuff!
Damn the quality of your vids have sky rocketed since you were just making vids in your home (I presume). Now you are a PROPER educational fitness channel, I love the new set ups! Keep doin the best work out there.
You can increase the stability challenge of the horizontal and decline rows by having your feet on a physio-ball. From there, you can lift one foot for an even greater challenge.
Using a weight vest is superior to the belt I find. I also started incorporating straight arm pull-down a with rings and it’s helped with my front lever progression. I’m thinking of getting one of those speed skater mats to use to get more range. I’ll let you know
Great video, lately your editing has been great but this last video was specially crisp at the beginning and the sound is really good too. Also I love rows and this video on them is really interesting for me. I'd like to know more information regarding scapula control and training. I've been told that my upper trapecius is way stronger than the middle and lower section causing my shoulders to be rounded and that scapula training and position correction are linked. If you could do a video focusing on scapula exercises and how to check that it is positioned properly during exercises would be great Love from Spain
I feel like the one arm row is massively underrated as a one arm pull up progression. Helped me alot with actual one arm engagement, and unilateral strength
Great video as always! One little thing though. If the intensity of the exercise increases towards the end range it is an ascending strength curve. Other than that top notch information!

Do your rows, they are important.

@Chidori457 interesting to hear. How much you have learned in bodyweight training since 2011?
This channel just gets eternally better
Absolute favorite calisthenics movement. Feels great for the back and does wonders for the shoulders!

Take a look at that physique 😳 hard work pays off 🙏🏻👍🏻
I love this more real-time style video. Please keep this format, it’s so comprehensive.
One arm rows are the one, I could never fully get the mind muscle connection when doing rows with two arms. Great video!
whenever am losing morale to workout i watch him and am back in the game thanks Daniel
Thanks Daniel

Weighted inverted row is king for me, I also do pendlays and chinup variations, back sorted
This guy is my favorite fitness guru...I'm progressing very well with his instruction
Thank you for not letting your content quality go to shit once you've become famous.
Started doing archer rows and loving that straight arm strength progression
You're instruction is always thorough and professional!!!
Mixed in with kettlebell swings, ring rows helped me to achieve my first set of full rom pullups. Awesome exercise💪
😊
Great video!! As usually. I learn continually from your channel, I’m 63 now and I’ve been gaining muscle, no sarcopenia at all☺️
Have been thinking all week I need to add more rows into my routine, taking the rings out this weekend and BAM this video drops. Thankyou Daniel another top quality video!!
Incredible video, I didn't even think about different grips for rows.
I just love the advanced tuck Frontlever Rows. High volume on those helped my Frontlever so much!
They're hard AF lol!
