Sis I got shook when you said ‘Can’t bring the book home’ had to pause allow it to register in my brain then pressed play again. Luckily, I’m not too busy catching up on the latest sports or fashion 😅😂😂😂
I just accepted a sales/distribution job in a very small town (less than 1000) im hoping its easier than how you're describing this. I gotta get my prints done next week then its a waiting game, im excited!
Thank you for doing this video. I haven't seen videos on this position that is so detailed. I got my orientation date for pse mail processor. I really want the sales and distribution clerk position and I'm on the pre-hire list for that position. Praying I get it.
@ Damaris Baptiste Congrats on awaiting your orientation and thank you for noticing how detailed the information is. All you have to do is switch your job once you’ve reached the allotted time frame, which I believe is 1 year from your hiring date. Good luck!
Exactly. It’s normal for clerks to work up to 5 years without window training, which made the idea of taking the exam harder for me because I didn’t have enough knowledge. I don’t know how they set it up for me to take the exam so quickly after two weeks and few days of being hired.
@@Positivity876 kind of the same thing happened to me I applied Jan 2023, started orientation March 2023 and today I passed my window clerk exam.. God’s timing❤
@@JuTaina No. I didn’t do any additional training to get a career position. I started off day one as a career employee. I have a video on how to do that.
That’s like me saying your experience is not true. In Philadelphia, PA, you are not allowed to take your book home until you complete the window training exam. Feel free to share the State and city you live in so that it can help someone out. Thanks.
I was scheduled for clerk training last Thursday for 10 days but my postmaster didn’t give me only give me the address the night before and told me to find out the accommodations when I get to training… Which I think is crazy, I had to decline my training because of such late notice and lack of information by the way training is 2 hours from me I should be rescheduled for next month…Is this normal?
That is terrible to get so close to starting, and now the push back. Trainings are scheduled based on the amount of participants. As soon as they have a handful of people they’ll add you to the bunch. There’s a possibility it could be next month or even months. Keep us posted. Good luck!
@@Positivity876 No I wouldn't do it either. On another note, I've been on the hire list for a couple of months now for a PSE Sales and Distribution 'career position with benefits' at a few locations in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Probably don't have a chance. I might have to apply for a 360 city carrier assistant.
@@tomm1583 Right, the risks wouldn’t be worth it. Why do you believe you don’t stand a chance? If you’re on the pre-hire list, it’s only a matter of time.
You are right. It’s information overload. Yesterday was day 3 for me and everything just seemed to jumble together in my mind lol.
Sure is. Good luck on your exam 😊

Wow lucky sort of. I'm almost to 2 years as a PSE. I've been to a handful of stations.
When do you take the window training exam?

You can use your phones right? Takes pics of the text books??
Unfortunately, that’s not allowed.

Sorry to bother you, so how long does it take after doing your fingerprints orientation start or your first day at work?
I heard it’s jus a few days.
It depends.
Question
Do you remember Whats the name of the book?
And how many modules are there in the book !?!
😢😢😢😢
After the academy and completion of the test? Are you converted if you are going to be a window clerk?
After passing the exam, the person will automatically become a clerk.
@Positivity876 Thank you so much for your response❤️❤️ My job depends on passing the exam.
@@Kanariyellowcosmetics You’re welcome. I understand the pressure that you’re under, but you will be just fine.

Did you ever have to work 4:30 AM 👀. I’m a single mom I just accepted a job offer
Yes. I worked at exactly 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm and sometimes later. You would have to make arrangements if you accepted a career position.
Yeah it’ is a career job

That is not normal. You should have had a month advance notice so you'd have time to book a hotel.
Can you secretly record it?
Haha. No, I would never do that. Maybe one day someone else will be brave enough to do that. Hey, it might be you! 👀
