Hey vlad, i stumbled upon this video snd was instantly hooked. I ordered my unit as soon as possible and have been jamming with it ever since. Thankyou for being a true visionary artist.
Congratulations on the great design of this machine! I especially jumped at the announcement of the planned Quad version firmware :-) I have been doing similar real-time live audio processing for quite some time, but the instant challenge has always been to achieve a nicely produced sound while simultaneously playing source-audio instruments to feed the machine. With your box, a lot of the sweetening seems to be well taken care of by the suppressor ducker and compressor, which may let the performer concentrate better on the music. I like that :-)
@@midnightsocean2689 pretty sure there are Zoia patches that can achieve the same effects which makes it hard for me to justify the much dearer price. I mean the Zoia can do so much more, that along with the fact that you can't set loop lengths is a no no for me right now but great piece of kit all the same.
Great idea and very useable. I'd like to hear a mid scoop as well as the filters. All the demos I've heard tend to end up very dense in the mid frequencies.

Is there a loop length function? I mean can you play long phrases? I'm really looking forward to play with this fantastic looper, it perfectly fits with my deepest idea of ambient music.

For the last time, it's not flippintronics developed by eno & fripp, it's Time Lag Accumulation developed by Terry Riley, Pauline Oliveros & the San Francisco Tape Music Centre...................now I've got that off my chest, interesting pedal Vlad, you're instruments are true genius.
@@somasynths it appears you have expanded Time Lag Accumulation to include some useful random variations so we can now officially call it Cosmosification, with a nod to the origin & not those charlatans eno & fripp :-).
As I recall, Fripp always defined "Frippertronics" as being the combination of the tape delay system Eno showed him, plus Fripp's pedal board and Fripp himself. The tape delay was just a tape delay. Plus, in practice "Frippertronics" was Fripp improvising on a four second delay for six to eight minutes in an ambient manner, then rewinding the tape and playing back that improvisation while he soloed over it. All the demonstration and explanations I've seen from Terry Riley on the Time Lag Accumulator involved a shorter time, and Riley syncing up his real time playing with a fairly short delay. The resulting sound is totally different from everything that's been labeled "Frippertronics" by Fripp, and likewise--"A Rainbow in Curved Air" doesn't sound anything like "Frippertronics".
@@sts0-101 I can't quite tell, but it sounds like to me one of the loops is already panned/ping-ponging (the twinkiling delay). But the pad sound is not panned. Then, when he adjusts the drift knob, the pad sound starts to pan.
Nothing new, but who can say no to a good looper/delay/reverb effect? A decent competitor for the Microcosm... price pending... (edit) just saw it... hmmm....

Is just a totally different instrument, same as a lot of their gear, There's tons of midi/fx/synths out there that are all the same as each other or pretty similar, Then there's Soma, treading a different path. While they're not cheap they're built SOLID. The Pulsar was a big decision for me but so glad I have it, It's by far the most interesting instrument I've played with, It creates sounds and music that I've never came close to in 8 years of buying, trying and selling gear. To write these things off because they aren't like everything else is a shame, to say the least.

Around 11 minutes in, I think he says the "drift" controls the panning.
