'A woman's place is in the home'....who did they think took over all the jobs when the men were at war? He should have at least been grateful for her keeping things going while he was gone.
My grandmother was a "Rosie the Riveter". During the war she worked in a factory that was making parts for planes. She was also a very creative artistic person. She worked cutting & polishing windshields. The material was half inch plastic of some sort. From the scraps she made a few things. She made a necklace. She made the chain links and clasp. The pendant was made from the windshield 'plastic' . It is cut in the shape of a heart and has beveled polished edges.🙂She was a widow in her early 30's with 2 young children during the depression. She went with the kids walking across country working on farms for food. She was a kind, sweet little woman.

This resulted in divorce rate and couples (married or not) breaking up, reach an all- time high. Now, one-parent and one-person households have become so common as to pass for "normal". They make up at least 50% of US households, though the media would dowplay the phenomena.

Thank you for posting. The B Movies are the best. Witty dialogue, the actors seem to enjoy playing off each other. Gerald Mohr, always thought he was so handsome. Died young , heart attack, (June 11, 1914- November 9, 1968). Loved his voice as well. Happy viewing from Las Vegas, NV 8/30/18

I'm so happy that all the reviews by the men on this film we're favorable! The sugar Lee role reminded me of Joan 👱 Blondell in "topper returns". Great b film. I loved it in California, but something gives me the feeling he won't quite get there. All great positive reviews. Thanks for posting.

I wonder how these "B" movies got funded? If they weren't intended to be block busters why make em (from a studio perspective only, i luv em).
The movie industry was completely different during this era.
To fill out the double-bill, in the same way that there had to be 'something' on the flip side of the promoted song on a record A side.
The actors were contracted to the studio they had to keep them busy. Plus most people didn't have TVs.

Good movie, but the upload seems to contain added Foley effects. It's a bit distracting.
It still amazes me how they got a woman to wear a dead fox with its head still on back in those days, kinda like getting people to wear a mask on their face today.
The difference is that fur of a dead animal is just a cruel fashion, whereas wearing a mask saves lives from death by a fatal disease.
There is still cultures around the world that still use fur for warmth and food.
Growing up, I thought those were so elegant. They looked like toys around women's necks. Different standards back then.
