This is a really enjoyable comedy that can watch over and over again! Sally Eilers ♥️ is great in the lead role with Neil Hamilton, Grant Mitchell, Joseph Schildkraut and Marcia Mae Jones 🌺 as the daughter. Thank You for a really fun viewing experience! 😉
Joshua Halpern, you sir are never more a sarcastic old geezer. I believe you to be a secret, warm hearted romantic. These old movies can bring that out in all of us, kind sir. Hopefully you can find the time to continue watching these delightful old films and enjoy the happiness that they bring out in yourself, as they do to me. What a time in history that must have been. Well, I certainly do love the happy endings. May you smile a little bit more in life, thinking about this film. It'll make others around you wonder what you're up to, ha ha.
@@johnm3310 BAD GIRL is a great film. I love the line from the boy to the girl: "If you don't want to be saluted then don't put up the flag". Strange how attitudes haven't changed over time from then to now. Shameful in some ways.
Just watched it for the second time and I just love this movie ! Don't see this kind of acting and story lines in any movies anymore. They have lost their gold touch in Hollywood !
Hollywood used to make a movie in a few weeks on almost no budget. Moving toward a century later, people still love the stories, actors and characters. If it's a Black & White movie, you'll probably enjoy yourself! Pre-Code movies Rock.
This was truly great! Very moralistic, but then again, it takes a deeper look at the human side of the story. Lots of surprises,.I've seen other movies of this era that really "preached" to young men and women who succumbed, or might succumb, to temptations of any kind. Thank you!

Sally ellers, Neil Hamilton, Joseph schildkraut and grant Mitchell are in this comedy about a millionaire who playfully marries footloose Clarice Andrews while he’s drunk at a party! 🎉 sobering up the next morning, he tells his lawyer to arrange for an annulment, then flees to South America but he doesn’t know that Clarice was already married making her a bigamist in the eyes of the law if anyone should find out! Clarice’s sister Paula offers to pose as n her sibling moving into cormack’s mansion until the annulment is finished! I thought Neil Hamilton who was the police commissioner on the Batman tv series was really good as the millionaire while Sally ellers did a comedic timing as the woman trying to fix a problem that her sister started ! The kids were great, too! Good flick! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
These old movies make one wonder whatever happened to the cast members. They probably continued to work for small studios. Usually there are one or two who either were or became known.
I agree with all of you - light, sweet, delightful movie. Another great find on TH-cam. Thank you so much for uploading. I like to watch again some funny scenes from moves I liked- the finale of this one, appearance of the sister was real funny! And the scene where Mike Andrews explaining his gambling addiction comparing to Edelson discovery of electric lamp!😂
I enjoyed this! 🎥🔆 It was truly a time when the Producers understood the American mind - just need a little distraction with a cute plot and an air of secure potentials, and happy endings are always a desired outcome. 🎥🔆
I recognized two of the actors in this movie; Marcia Mae Jones the daughter, Pat, and Grant Mitchell who plays the not so honest lawyer, from they’re work in Deanna Durban films.
Batman Tv Series - Neil Hamilton was the police commissioner, and, there was a butler also named Alfred like in this film....hmmm...a hint of things to come? Stay tuned Bat fans...
What a fun and enjoyable movie. This is the type of movie that makes us forget our woes. Thank you for posting!🙏🙏🙏❤️
Thanks for watching PizzaFLIX. May the Sauce be with you!
Watching tonite from Manhattan. xxox
The kids were great actors!
They were so in tuned to each other [the kids] and to what was going on, then became proactive to making the desired change. Yes, great actors.
So adorable. We need this kind of entertainment back.
Loved this movie. Heartwarming. Put a smile on my face and heart.
Thanks for all the great films
Really fun and wonderful to see these classics preserved

Thank you for the Batman reference the whole time I was trying to place the voice in my history banks; bless you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥳💡💋
Finger snap snap just like a poodle 🤣😂🤣😂. That was a good one. Thank you for sharing.
Oh yes, that is who he is the commissioner on Batman!! Handsome back then! The movie was a little silly but I enjoyed it! Life was very simple then!
I can't believe that a sarcastic old geezer like me would ever say: Oh what a delightful and enjoyable little movie!
It certainly was a delightful and enjoyable movie 🙂
They don’t make movies like that anymore. Today computers make movies.
Love that

I like these silly old movies with a happy ending! Thanks!
I love these old black and white films. I always imagine what life waa like then as my elders lived. The clothing, architecture, it is history.
Thanks for this gem of a movie, the best line was "just like a poodle" !!!
Very good cast!
30:48 "Well nothing here is what it seems to be." So cute! Whoever played Paula was really a good actress!
If you like Paula (Sally Eilers) in this movie she is great in Bad Girl 1931. You'll find it easily on youtube.

Great comedy! I didn't recognize any of the actors, but they were all just "swell", especially her.
its comissioner gordon
absolutely! real actors and actresses....not like today....
If you liked Paula (SallyEilers) you have to check out Bad Girl 1931. It's not a comedy, however a terrific underdog movie.
Patricia plays Lavinia (the rich, bratt girl) in Shirley Temple's "Little Princess".
@@bordeauxhouse I thought she looked familiar, thanks for the reminder!

They don't make them like this anymore. Lots of fun. I knew that voice, he was Commissioer of Police on Batman.
Took me a second to place him.
And interestingly, the butler in this and in Batman are both named "Alfred".
Ppppppppp)
Great to see Neil Hamilton in his salad days as a leading man.
Cute film. I love happy endings.
Noz an yn AX
An saA
I have no idea what you are saying.
Fantastic flick, I really enjoyed this one!
Originally released at 70 minutes; this is the 53 minute version released for local TV stations in the early 1950's.
What happened in the missing 17 minutes? Give me a play-by-play.
It is just the right length for such a flimsy plot. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I enjoyed this! 🎥🔆

Fun flick. :-)
At 12:55 you can see HOW to IRON a HANDKERCHIEF WITHOUT an IRON!!!!
Now that's a movie
could someone tell me why when I watch anything over an hour the picture breaks up? thank you.
If the middle section seems somewhat skimpy it's because this is the edited 53 minute version. There's allegedly a 70 minute cut out there.
Sally Eilers's delivery puts me in mind of Myrna Loy ?
I was thinking Ida Lupino + Lindsay Lohan.
Wonderful film . 😊😅😂❤🎉 .
Too cute!!
That was fun. :) snap!
