If you didn't fully like Red, White, and Royal Blue, you should definitely pick up Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz. Both main characters are mexican, they live in Texas, and it takes place in the 80's... what's not to love. It's also a lgbtq+ story, so we love that

The kingdom sounds like the perfect combination of things I love: the environment, Disney, and a good, intriguing plot. It doesn’t usually bother me when I can guess an ending, I’ve been basically working on my class to try to get to that point and as long as the journey is enjoyable I am up for it so definitely looking forward to reading it💕

I read ACOTAR at the end of June because you were rereading it in your vlogs. I loved it so much that I immediately picked up ACOMAF and I loved that even more! I'm going straight into ACOWAR this week and I'm super excited. Thank you so much for loving the series that much that I picked it up 😁😍

Renegades is one of my favourite books! I read that first chapter and was hoooooooked. I didn't want to put it down. I cannot wait for Supernova to see how it all comes together.

Ooooh. I might just consider giving This Mortal Coil a chance. I was worried it was going to be too science-y and that a lot of what would happen in the book would fly over my head. But hearing how much you enjoyed it has me reconsidering. "I am Sarah J. Maas trash. I stan this queen and I don't regret it." WORD!!!! GHJGHJGHG. YES! AND THANK YOU!!! Like I said it in my review of the series as well!! Sarah gives us so many clues and hints to his behavior and there are so many red flags and when people tell me that he had a character change, I'm usually baffled cuz I'm like did we read the same book?? Like your SO throwing things and trashing the room and ignoring you when he is pissed is NOT good or romantic behaviour!! And those were my thoughts when i did the first read. i can't wait to reread it starting with ACOTAR and annotating the shit out of it and telling past Noria that she was totally right for spotting all those red flags and seeing the superiority that was Rhysand!! ghghjghjghj. Yesss!!! I totally want a video on your rating system!! I am such a big fan of superhero stories and comics and i can't believe I still haven't read Renegades. Smh! Nocturna!!! It looks so pretty and it's sitting on my shelves with its blue-sprayed edges calling out to me to give it a read. I'll probably get to it sometime soon. Maybe one of the upcoming readathons will give me the push I need to get to it. SOON! The Kingdom!! It sounds soooo good!!! Flamecaster had me at DRAGONS!!! Which I already bought cuz of your Cinda Williams Chima's recommendation last year. I hope I get to it soon. ACOMAF!!!! Wow! Your summary of Legend has me ready to buy the series immediately!! It sounds sooo good. Of course when I get it, I will just brace myself for the let down that would be Prodigy. An Ember in the Ashes has been on my TBR for like forever now and I still haven't gotten to it and I don't know why!!!! Okay. You've convinced me to bump up Carry On in my TBR. Cuz my copy of Red, White and Royal Blue is arriving this month and i was unsure which one of the two to read in August for the Newts and for Jesse's Mythology readathon which YOU'RE ONE OF THE COHOSTS OF, YESSSS!!! But yeah, made up my mind. Definitely reading Carry On first. Thank you!!

I felt so bad for Tamlin. I love Feyre & Rhys together but I failed to see the abusive relationship between Tamlin and Feyre; I just saw two, flawed, people who went through an ordeal who didn’t know how to communicate to each other. DUDE. I feel the same. I mean, Tamlin was controlling but he also went thru some fucked up stuff, and he's not the pure evil jerk that people make him out to be. And (SPOLIER) he saved feyres and Rhysands lives in the last book. And in "Frost and Starlight" Rhys just SHITS all over him when he's clearly hurt and depressed.
Duuude. I know this was a year ago haha but I feel the exact same way. I’m all for Rhys and Feyre. But I just think Tamlin was done so dirty. I’ve read them 3 times and it’s been a while since my last reread so I was hoping that maybe my opinion had changed or something. But nope. I still think Tamlin was done dirty haha.
OMG I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOUR THOUGHTS FOR RED WHITE AND ROYAL BLUE! I thought I was the only one!! I thought the pacing was also kinda odd, and the hate part of the hate to love didn't last very long. I thought there could have been more relationship build up, especially since that is more common in a hate-to-love romance. Overall though, it was a pretty good read! (And your summaries were great, loved watching this!)
okay i loved your comments about how Mexican culture was introduced/handled in rwrb. I haven't read it yet but being half Mexican i am sensitive to how my culture is represented. i'm even more excited to read this book now to see how i feel!

I desperately need to read most of the books you mentioned here (Renegades -which I got from the library today, yay-, Carry On, Red White & Royal Blue, Flamecaster, Nocturna...). And I think I've said this before but I love the The Kingdom's concept. Love it as an idea. It reminds me of Westworld.

I’m happy you gave the Ember Quartet a second chance, it definitely puts you through a roller coaster. But, I love them!
I read acotar for the first time (and my first sjm book) in june and i cannot wait to get my hands on the next book! I was so pleasantly surprised. Everyone talks about the romance only but i enjoyed the magical elements and the world dynamics and politics alot too. 5 out of 5 for sure!

ACOTAR series is the best and I will die on that hill! I really want to re-read it before the end of the year. It will be really interesting to see the clues about Tamlin and what he is to become! I'm grateful for your honest opinion about Red White and Royal Blue, because now I know if I find the beginning slow, I'll just need to keep on pushing.
Court of Thorns and Roses and Renegades are on my TBR after I finish read Sorcery of Thorns. I'm a quarter of the way through and I'm just loving it so far. I think you'll really enjoy it. 📚🤓

hola, no realmente el libro de Red, White, & Royal blue, no refleja la cultura mexicana, yo soy mexicana y si hubo varias frases que no son usadas aquí, más bien las utilizan los que llamamos aquí "Pochos", que son personas que se fueron de inmigrantes a Estados Unidos y hacen una mezcla extraña de inglés y español, que tal vez tiene lógica que la autora utilice esas frases porque son la que puede llegar a escuchar allá, pero aquí en México no son muy utilizadas. Aún así le aplaudo a la autora el tratar de intercalar nuestra cultura en el libro y hacerlo para diverso/ versátil y darnos un poco de voz.

Como que no sabía si era una persona mexicana o si era americana y usando esas frases porque ella pensaba que eso es como todos hablan? Pero alguien me dijo que una amiga mexicana le alludo en esas partes entonces me gustan más jajaja

I read ACOMAF in June too, and YES it is just so so amazing, it shreds my soul & gives me all the warm feelings at the same time.
I’m really looking forward to starting the Shattered Realms Series, Flamecaster has been on my TBR for so long.
Reading the ACOTAR series was a pleasure read for me and am happy you enjoyed it.
I was curious when i saw the title about what would be your unpopular opinion would be , but lol click bait course. There is nothing wrong with giving it 4 stars, I agree with you on the first half of the book. I thought at least the first chapter took me awhile to go through, and the sudden name dropping was confusing. But the end was so worth it that I had to give it 5 stars.
Amazing job on describing the books ! You can be proud of the work you did on summerizing cause you made those books sound so great ^^
On Red White and Royal Blue...I'm half mexican living in the US and a lot of the way he acted and some of the things he said were very reminiscent of things my family would say or do. I'm actually also bisexual, also have a southern mother, also born in texas (but not raised)...just female. So, this book felt so familiar to me. I just thought that I'd point that out....cause I can't find anything other than cajun for her heritage...

Rating systems are subjective. Like ACOTAR is 5 stars to me as well, even with its flaws because I genuinely loved it even with its flaws.

A Reaper at the Gates made me like Helene sooooooo much more than I did in the first two books. I dreaded her chapters in the first two books and eagerly anticipated them in the third.
I DNFed Red,White, and Royal Blue so hard and I have no intention on trying again. I couldn't get into it.

I read a court of thorns but didn’t read the next one cuz I didn’t really like tamlin (thought he was crappy) so I didn’t read the next one but what you said about how it brings that to the front makes me actually really want to read the next book
