I had never heard the original song "Squeeze Me Macaroni" by Mr. Bungle. Now that i have gone out and searched out the original, I can say that Mark's a capella version is 100% faithful to the original. Thank you for introducing me to this masterpiece.
Holy shit, this is a real thing! I thought he was just making this whole thing up as he went! The original is pretty dope too, but I think I'm gonna make Mark's version my new ringtone.
@@invincibubblI definitely need to dedicate some time and listen to it. Squeeze Me Macaroni is a banger, but I know there should be other gold on that album. Maybe Mr. Bungle will be the next Ween for me.

This is the most personally significant video I've ever seen. This feels like someone made it for me only. Thank you so, so much Aunty Donna. Kings, all.
I found Mark in the audience when Mr Bungle had just gotten back together in San Fransisco, 2020. Having travelled all the way from Australia myself, it was fairly surreal to see Donna x Bungle the same night. Watching this video is somehow more surreal than that moment.
I don't know the context but this is surprisingly "musical" while being intentionally bad. Like, Mark definitely has a natural affinity to music even when he's trying to sound terrible! Okay, maybe Tom had some professional advise for the editing crew that helped a bit.
Its not perfectly accurate, but its a damned good attempt. I’m not in the least bit surprised that Mark is a Bungle fan. I can imagine this song being very formative for the young man, as it was for most of us.
@@MrOtistetrax I can tell it's not perfect, but plenty of it is seemingly accurate the song is just nonsense. Mike famously cared more about how words sounded than what they meant.
@@MrOtistetrax I got to them in my teens but they were still pretty formative, I do music so they had a large influence on me. Grizzly Adams is the most beautiful song no one's ever heard.
@@Facebones2391 As filthy and puerile as it is, Squeeze Me Macaroni is a bravura piece of lyricism and vocal performance. The line “clutter up her butter gutter” is worthy of an Ivor Novello all on its own, imho (I’m being slightly facetious here, if you can’t tell). However, while it’s most likely that Patton wrote this one, it’s worth noting that not all of Mr Bungle’s lyrics were penned by him. I’m pretty sure both Dunn and Spruance contributed words to songs across the years. For instance, IIRC, Platypus is Dunn’s, None Of Them Knew They Were Robots is Spruance’s.
I totally thought he was improvising this, and I was astounded at how good he could bullshit a song. Now I'm even more impressed he did so well performing that song!
Sometimes, you find an artist that it truly unique. And those are not unique, this is unique. Because I don't think anyone else could do this and if they could, they wouldn't. So this is the only one. 10/10
It looked like Broaden was really feeling some heavy emotions during this performance, that only goes to show how many of the emotions mark put into his performance when he said that bit about squirting gravy
on a serious *note*, Mark actually has an amazing singing voice. if this doesn't work out (for some reason) he should seriously make some albums, any genre honestly
1:06 the boys were a little taken aback by Mark tapping into the hellvoid realm to sustain his rap, but their curiosity let them sit this one out. It worked out in the end.
Mark if you read this I just wanna say thank you for making me smile every day with your absolutely fucked sense of humour. Bits from the pod and clips from your streams live in my head rent free. Youre the goat
I just need to point out that 1) It's "we came to potty" and 2) This rendition is scarily accurate and is so damn perfect for Mark holy shit. Mr Bungle is genuinley one of my fave bands so this feels so surreal

Wow Mark at one point when you say where's the f'ing beer, I can't stand warm f'ing beer - you sound just like Sebastion Bach from Skidrow!!!
just awful guys well done
AWFULLY GOOD!! HOORAY!!
I feel deeply unwell, physically and spiritually, like my soul has been violently cut in half with a brick.

Congrats on the shout out
Mark Bonano fed me refried beans out back of a Kmart in 1998 while rubbing my back and telling me I had to pay him back for the beans
This sounds like one of those circumstances where video evidence would deem it false.
That's an odd offer for award category but it tracks.
This is true actually I’m marks friend and I was there
@@tubasil8786me too it totally happened mark banano and I once had a lemon eating contest on an escalator in macys and he was rubbing my toe

MR BUNGLE AND AUNTY DONNA WAS THE MASHUP WE NEEDED
I literally just listened to this album on the weekend and can hear the entire song as he sings it.
Somehow it makes perfect sense too
This was legit the first thing that came to mind, not even a minute into the video.
We came to party
i'm not too familiar with mr bungle so i genuinely thought mark improvised that on the spot lol
This is the most personally significant video I've ever seen. This feels like someone made it for me only. Thank you so, so much Aunty Donna. Kings, all.
here i was thinking the same. can't be both of us. i can fight you to the death

As soon as I saw the title of this video I thought, this can't possibly be about that Mr Bungle song can it? I have never been happier to be wrong.
Mark was at the Mr Bungle/Melvins show in Melbourne earlier in the year, so I wasn’t too surprised by this lmao
Same reaction, I heard squeeze MY macaroni and was like oh it's just a coincidence but then...the boys didn't let me down.
How have we been so good to deserve this amazingness? I'm an absolute piece of shit irl
Same! I just wonder what people who have never heard the song think of Mark's mental decline.

I was at that sick show! One of the opening bands had a guy in a wheelchair and a guy in the audience also in a wheelchair crowd surfed ! Fuckin A!
Read the title thinking “haha he wrote a song and didn’t realise it has the same name as the Mr Bungle song”. Fucking floored
NGL you can tell Mark CRUSHES Karaoke.
It's true. He does.
this is genuinely a really good recreation, this must have been very healing for Mark

Zachary watching Broden the same way you watch your mate when you play him a 'funny TH-cam video'
love the stage noises that just elevate this pure piece of artistry
during the TIKKA TIKKA WOO part, it was like mike patton was in the room, chills
Seeing this without knowing the song is unnerving but after hearing the original it becomes unnerving in a different way
This is exactly the journey I just went on!
As a huge Mr Bungle fan, this felt like being bullied for liking Mr Bungle.
and if there's one thing I can't stand, it's warm beer
I love that anyone who doesn't know Mr. Bungle is going to find this absolutely insane. I can't even tell if he changed any lyrics. Do more!

I love that he did the Dennis Hopper bit too LOL.

These boys set up an entire set for this. 👏
I've watched this video almost every week, sometimes multiple times a week for the past few weeks. I have no idea why.

I did not expect this... but I did expect this from Mark... and damn, did he pull it off!

Keeping Mr. Bungle relevant in the modern age any way we can. God bless, boys.

Aunty Donna has always had Mr Bungle energy
