Thank you for this great video -- it fills in what the plans leave out and I appreciate the information. Nice flying too!

The all wood version is not available in the the US. The Foam / Wood hybrid is just not up to par as far as kit quality. Flys very nicely however, the kit arrived with warped aileron, and severely warped canopy hatch. I was able to straighten the canopy steaming it, the aileron, being composite foam and wood was less cooperative. Also three of the four blind nuts for the landing gear fell out as I tried to attach the gear. This area is inaccessible so I ended up epoxying the gear in.
I also have an FMS Olympus which is far superior kit quality and flys better as well. If this is typical Dynam quality FMS has nothing to worry about.

Yes, you can get the Balsa version in the US. You can get it right now for $225.00 with the motor. That is a smoking deal!!!

Hopefully you modified the stock livery. Olympus = the ugliest plane I’ve ever seen in my life.

Great vid! It looks like the Smoove compliments Justin's skills, or is the other way around?

More like a mutual trade. Believe it or not, precision is one of my weaker points, and since the Smoove is designed around precision, it makes doing maneuvers like slow rolls, knife edges, and 4-point rolls look much better. Including mine!

How does the epo version fly in comparison to this?

Nearly the Same.. The EPO is lighter - take that either good for some bad for others, personally I think its better that its lighter

Thanks for the reply. Is the landing gear strong and easily repairable on the epo version?

Adding the metal washer is a no brainer. nylon would work too. What about nitro? What engine would you suggest? Sounds like it may have been designed more for nitro but you never know. Mabe thats why you had it nose heavy? Looks like plenty of fun eather way! Dynam has really upped its game from when they first started . Those guys that have sworn off Dynam have sold themselves short. Nowdays,if an RC company doesnt keep its customers happy, there are others happy to step up and fill the hole. I usually work with Motion RC but have gotten stuff from Grayson hobbys also. Good video footage, whomever shot it did a good job!

You would be surprised how many people wouldn't think to put the washer into the equation. And yes, nylon will work fine, but I prefer metal for the durability and longevity. Basil shot and edited all the video himself.

And the airplane was designed around electric setups and I haven't heard of a nitro swap.
