Being a ride operator has it’s highs and lows - it’s great but not something I’d like to do forever, because you come face to face with utter arseholes, and that’s not just the customers.
This would be a great job because I get to be around rollercoasters all day and meet people, And if people say that’s boring then at least that’s better than drowning in homework
This video was too long. Halfway through it, I got hungry so I left it playing and went to the kitchen to fix myself a sandwich. But then I found out that I'm out of mayonnaise so I went to a store. There, I saw the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my whole life. But I'm a really shy person so I took up a three-year personality development course so I could introduce myself. She was very friendly and all, but unfortunately, she had a boyfriend. So I said, all good, I'm a mature person. I wanted the best for her and I harbored no illusion that I am the best person for her and she seemed happy with her boyfriend, so I didn't bother her anymore. But we kept in touch and we became friends and I got over my crush on her. Then she broke up with her boyfriend, we drank some alcohol because of it. I told her she'll be fine and I wished her well. I still think she's the most beautiful woman in the world, but like I said, I am over my crush on her. It was like five years already since I first saw her. Besides, I am quite happy with the friendship I developed with her. It was more important than a crush. So we kept hanging out, drinking, having coffee, and all. I had a girlfriend, she started dating other guys. My girlfriend wanted to live some other life without me in it, so I said, "Okay, I want the best for you and I want you to pursue your happiness." My lady friend and I drank alcohol about it, and she gave me the same advice I gave her when she was in that position and I became okay with the breakup immediately. But we were really drunk, so she spent the night in my apartment. I only have one bed, so you know what that means: She took the bed and I slept on the couch. But on the couch, I really can't sleep. Something was bothering me. So I tossed and turned for about three hours, then I finally couldn''t take it anymore, I stood up and went straight to my room where she's sleeping. I approached the bed, gently sat on it and I reached for her shoulder to pull her closer to me. She stirred and woke up. She asked what's up. I told her, "you know, the first time I saw you, I was watching a video and left it playing to get myself a sandwich then went to the store to get some mayo then I got so distracted by life that I forgot to finish the video." She said, "You know what, I've been wondering about a weird noise in your night drawer." So we opened that drawer, and lo and behold, there's my phone and this video still has two minutes of play time on it.

I'm 15 and short, I still live with my parents, but I don't know if my first job should be at Magic Mountain, which is an hour away? After this video I want it to be my first job, but I don't know, if not I could apply at the Subway, Wendy's, Taco Bell, or jack in the box by my house at worst case
You get the joy of telling pple the ride doesn't work and go down the whole line to tell them Technical Difficulties. Joy and you sit there and talk to them and answer toner questions for how ever long ur supervisor says to, but if it's ur last choice they send you to park services which suck!!!!!!!
At the small fairground I work at, it’s slightly easier - we just say that we’re trying to sort it, though people might lose their shit if the popular rides are shut.
Politely inform the guests, and start playing games with your queue until mechanics arrive, and try to keep new guests from entering the queue as to prevent a backup.
@@glasstechs There's not really any formal education required to be a ride operator. Many of the ride ops in my park don't have college degrees. Personality, drive, and the ability to learn and adapt are the biggest things. If you could describe yourself as outgoing, friendly, flexible, and detail- and customer-oriented, then that's the biggest thing. Some aspects that may help you stand out from the crowd of applicants include previous customer service jobs (in any industry, such as food, retail, nonprofit, etc.) or a degree in a related field, such as communications or business. I work at a small theme park that's geared toward young children (preschool-aged) so my boss liked that I had experience working with young kids in an elementary school and that I was aiming to get my credentials and become a full-fledged teacher. If you have experience in things like event planning or public speaking, that might also be a benefit. The job is high-demand and high-stress with low pay, but so is teaching, and the rewards are great: you get to connect with guests, you get to share a love of (well, in my case, fairy tales), and you get to make someone's day when they have a good time on your ride.
Pple don't take their job seriously at the park. Security, first aid, guest relations. I absolutely have no tolerance for them period for the season that I have worked their so far
I hate how on green lantern superman and batman they always have horrible, same with eltoro! But Zumanjaro KINGDA KA and nitro have a lot better ops, zumanjaro ops are friendly, efficient and funny. Ride lifts up.... ITS ABOUT.... TO GO DOWN. Litteraly
BS. I went to Six Flags in Gurnee, IL last year and this one woman operating the Raging Bull caught a nasty attitude when this one kid in front of me asked a few questions while she was tightening his seat latch. I was almost tempted to smack her but I didn't want to make a scene (or get kicked out of the park).
@@Coolwindjokerz I got trained first online, and then went to the Administrations building for my department training. I'm to assume it's like that at most Six Flags.
ex-employee, these people are over-hyped, believe me. Being a ride operator is exhausting.
