- Picking green beans at the right time can improve your yield and extend your growing season. I show you when to pick your green beans as well as how to do so. Nothing beats fresh, homegrown produce and with the proper picking methods we can have a long window of fresh beans instead of freezing them!

Thanks!
As a complete beginner this was exactly what i needed to know thank you so much!
Enjoy. Nothing beats fresh homegrown vegetables!
Another great, helpful, well-explained video!
I can't wait to harvest my first green beans
Dont forget to stagger the planting times for consistent harvest all season! They are a great fall crop as well. My beans planted late summer gave me a bigger harvest in the fall than my spring planting did.
Thank you straight to the point love it
What type of beans are they?
Just bush type green beans
Thank you for the great video! LOL I couldn’t help but notice…you’ll never have trouble getting your blood drawn. I’m sorry, I just notice things like that…I’m a nurse. ☺️😆
Had one time where a nurse missed my vein 3 times and had to call in back up! Lol
Are these determinate or "pole" type plants?
These are bush beans. Pole beans should be treated the same way. Pretty much every annual we grow can be forced into higher production by harvesting early and often. Their goal is to produce seeds for the next generation. When we harvest the plant knows it needs to make more seeds so keeps producing trying to reach it's goal.
Great video! I've read that the more you pick, the more they'll grow. My question is, will the next beans grow from the same flower spot that you just pulled one from, or will they produce a flower in a different spot and grow from that?
