That is one of the best designed vans I have seen. My parents lived in an 18 foot van for the best part of 15 years & I don't know how they did it especially after watching this & yes, my dad was an electrician but for some reason never made life easy for himself & my mother.
These traveller vans seem to be nicely fitted out inside with a more homely feeling with darker cabinets as opposed to alot of the vans on the market now that look like operating theatres inside with all white walls and cabinets and super bright LED lighting.
Not too sure if our cupboard style is available today but I much prefer it to a plain flat cupboard door surface. All of our lights are LED but they are not all on the one switch. Glad you liked the video.
Thanks for the tour Mick, it is a beautiful van , really enjoyed viewing all your extra add ons , like the toilet light , filter and water manifolds very clever making life easier, stay safe and Thankyou
Yes Roger, both Sally and I have been members for many years now. If only Traveller would make their caravans 150/200kg lighter, life would be so much easier.
What a beautiful and well thought out caravan. I would go give your little friend a spray that's in the rear water tap box a spray so he doesn't give you a nasty bite. Another great video.
We Are hoping to be able to upgrade from our jayco hawk to a larger van, you have some great ideas on yours, and have given me a lot to think about, stay safe and thankyou
Thank you, yes it has been over the scales, I am planning to put it on the scales in the near future. The last time it only just came under my GCM limit. I may even do a short video of the weights when it next gets weighed.
Hi Mick Sally Hope all is good looking at your video can you let me know who installed your satalite unit on your van and what did it cost to install Cheers mate all the best Jamo.
Thanks, that was a thorough walk around. Some good ideas and tips too. Do you, or perhaps one of your viewers have any thoughts on composting type toilet?
@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 The guys at "the outfit" YT channel hinted that is what they will install. Sounds intriguing and may allow us to stay offgrid much longer without resorting to spades and holes..
Hi Mick, With your vast experience , can you provide your thoughts on the load leveling bars. a mate was told by his new van supplier not to put them on as they were creating cracks in the steel A frame of the chasey
Some caravan makers like you say now do not allow them to be used, years ago they were a requirement. Some vehicle manufactures require them while others don't, we can only follow their requirements.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the videos. We are both still working and living at home. We are soon to retire and will spend much more time away in the Caravan.👍
@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 Hi Justin ...I too have the "Belair" very comfortable and great to tow. I enjoyed the walk around for your lovely set up. Would love to get the Black Jack but it weighs some 17 kg and would still need to carry the Trailer Mate for changing a flat tyre. Weight is certainly an enemy. I weighed mine yesterday at Verdun and came in at ATM 2760 (2800 Compliance Plated)....and that after culling back to essentials and only 50 litres of water in just one tank. I have 2 electric bikes on the A-Frame weighing in at 70kg with the rack. The Ball Wgt was 220 kg. All other weights for Car GVM, GCM and axle weights were under fortunately. I tow with a Colorado 7 (took the 3rd row seats out temporarily) and have travelled some trouble free 40,000 kms in the last 6 years. I guess you would need to be careful with weight with all the bells and whistles extras on your rig. Sometimes it's better not knowing (like the vast majority of caravanners old and new) LOL.😄 What a great idea the water manifolds. I think I heard in another video that to prevent spillage backflow you fill from the bottom. My tanks empty from the bottom. Is there another bottom inlet that you have hooked into? Would really like to fit something similar, please advise. Safe Travels and keep them videos coming.👍
@@maxreywob4976 weight certainly is our greatest enemy. Imagine trying to tow the caravans today that our parents and grand parents used to tow back then. My water tanks had a spare plug at the bottom so I used that as the new bottom fill point. if yours hasn't a spare plug, simply fit a tee to your outlet point and fill from there.
Thanks Mick for the look around. We are waiting for our 20.6 Obsession Traveller to arrive later in the year hopefully! Amazing how the layout hasn’t changed much at all. I like some of your modifications. I didn’t order it with an extended draw bar but I can see the advantages rather that putting a box on the back. Can I ask what you ball weight is? We have a 2021 Dmax dont really want to use a WDH if I can help it. Maybe air bags?
I am not sure what the ball weight was last time I measured it but it was getting up there being over 300kgs. I will be doing a full weight review in the coming months once my Lithium upgrade is completed and will have every weight on the video when it is uploaded to my channel.
@@justcruisinwithmicksally837 ok thanks. Traveller installed 2 AGMs in the deal but I opted for 200Ah lithium to keep the weight down. I going to install and inverter but concerned about shock protection. So I’m going to install this voltage sensing device. As normal RCDs won’t trip when connected to inverters and generators due to the lack of MEN connection.
We refer it as Free Camping which is most of our travels now a days. We use pull up in a location, if we feel something isn't right with that location we will move to the next one. Be smart abut it and you should be safe. We just love the scenery that weget with Free Camping, something that most Caravan Parks do not have.
The best thing about that light switch is being able to turn the light off when the missus is in the loo.
Gamer man than me although there is a two way switch in there as well.

Thanks for showing us your caravan Mick, I didn't realize you could fit so much kit and equipment in a caravan nowadays. Thanks for sharing mate
You are welcome Goobs.
OK Mick, am dropping my van off at your place ready for them mods...LOL Talented ole bugga.
You are a funny buggar Dennis.......lol.

Great walk around
Thanks Gary, glad you liked it.
Nice one brother.

Good luck with your upgrade when you do it.
Great video I saw briefly that you got a Washing machine and have you got a dryer as well.
We do not have a dryer, would assume they would be too power hungry.
What a GR8 van with all the additions. Love the light in the loo. Well thought out. Have you ran it over the scales?

Nice set-up . I'm interested in knowing the gvm of your van and how does your vehicle cope with towing
GVM is 2,800kg
Vehicle handles it well.

Not as often as we would like but retirement is getting closer which is what we have set it up for.
