      I am certain that there will not be any major challenges that you have while searching for a job after completing your higher education here in Belgium. Over here, the local employers generally respect and prefer people who are locally educated. If you can add French / Dutch language skills to your portfolio then you will be able to command better positions as well after graduating.

    Hi Guys. Few questions ---
    1. Can you provide some information about day care concept in Belgium (Brussels mainly)
    I have two kids 4 year old - who typically will go school there. Second kid is 8 months old, since we both going to work, need some insight on day care concept
    2. how difficult is to manage job (when both parents are working) with kid there - if you have come across any such case

    • @DoMusafirCanada
      @DoMusafirCanada  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey buddy
      So there are a lot of creche services available in Brussels - both public and private. The private ones' are slightly expensive and the public ones have a long waiting time. You can have a look at creches.brussels.be/nl/inschrijvingen for more details. This is managed by the government.
      It is absolutely possible for both parents to be working while managing their children as well. The only coordination that would be needed would be in terms of picking up your child from school after closure. Over here, schools are particular about their closing time and they abide by it very strictly.

    What if we dont want to pay tax? Any way to avoid it? Like ppf, savings, buying land , stocks and showing that as a proof to evade taxes

    • @DoMusafirCanada
      @DoMusafirCanada  ปีที่แล้ว

      Belgium is a tricky place in terms of taxation. Generally, things are pretty straightforward and there are not a lot of options like we have in India. However, people here use the services of Tax advisors who understand the loopholes and help with that. In case you have kids there are some benefits that you can claim as non-taxable.

    iI am getting a project assignment in Brussel from my company and they are giving net 40500 euro per annum. Considering i have 23L per annum(Gross pay), net may be around 18/19L in India and i can live quite a good life after all my expenses(including my homeloan EMI). It will be worth going to brussel with this compensation? Around how much i would be able to save? going single. Thanks in advance for your advise.

    • @DoMusafirCanada
      @DoMusafirCanada  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Subhankar
      Typically companies break the CTC into in-hand and other components (pension, bonus etc.). See if there is a separate yearly bonus component over and about your 40,500 Euros.
      For now, I am assuming it is not there. I am also assuming it is 100% in-hand and completely taxable, then you should be getting around 2000 Euros a month. Living alone you can expect your expenses to be around 1000 Euros if you are able to find affordable housing. You can save based on this calculation a max of 1000 euros a month which is 80k INR. Based on your current in-hand in India, I think there is room for more negotiation.

    • @DoMusafirCanada
      @DoMusafirCanada  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Prabhu
      That's correct. In hand salary of Euro 71000 after tax is around 2850 Euros per month. Companies here have different components in which they can help save some tax which effectively leads to more than that. But around 2850 Euros is what you should be getting in case of no non-taxable component in your salary.

      Yes typically medical insurance is provided by the employer. Even in case of the spouse and kids it is usually provided by the company only. Having said that there are a lot of mid-tier companies that do not provide insurance / not cover everything in their plan. In that case people plan to take a separate insurance.

      Medical insurance AFAIK is not provided by the employer.
      Employers can (and often do) offer hospital insurance though.
      But you still need to have medical insurance since it's mandatory (cheapest is about 100€ per year).

    • @DoMusafirCanada
      @DoMusafirCanada  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Robbedem You are right for most cases. There is a small subset of employers, mostly Indian IT Service Providers who provide health insurance as well.
      For example I have health insurance provided for both myself and my wife by my organisation. My wife’s organisation has provided a hospitalisation insurance for only her.

    Hi,
    I am in dilemma now to decide
    Whether I have to relocate Belgium or not.
    In India I am earning 140000 rs per month & I can save upto 1 lakh per month.
    If relocate to Belgium I will get 3200 to 3400 euros per month .
    How much I can save in Belgium .
    If I relocate with family of 3 members.

    • @DoMusafirCanada
      @DoMusafirCanada  ปีที่แล้ว

      See there are 2 primary aspects that you need to consider while deciding: Savings and Quality of Life
      - If we talk about savings you will end up with around 2000 Euros of expenses after the initial few months of settlement. Based on your salary range you would still be able to save around 1 lakh per month.
      - If we talk about the quality of life, that will be a major upgrade from your Indian lifestyle, especially for your kid.
      There are other secondary aspects that you need to consider as well: Wife's job, Child's education, Family responsibilities, etc.
      In case you have a long-term plan of settling abroad moving to Belgium can be a good move. If you eventually want to settle in India, I still think you can consider coming here for 3-4 years.

      I am not married yet & my mom is thinking about my marriage . May be in 6 months to 1 year I may get married.
      If I switch the job there after a year .
      What about average salary I get as a software developer .
      Please suggest what is better.

    • @DoMusafirCanada
      @DoMusafirCanada  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@anilreddy6666 If you are planning to get your parents here then I will suggest it will be better for you to stay back in India. And with your job, you are doing extremely well and you are already in the top 10-15% in terms of earning by age, so it will be better to grow in India itself.
