It sounds better w/ this marvelous Calmus Ensemble rather than over-bloated mixed choir. the madrigal quality allows the word painting & wonderful harmonies to be savored. the blend & tone ausgezeichnet.truly inspired music & performance.
I sang this in school 23 years ago. it still gives me chills. This performance is virtually perfect. But better with a full choir.
Excellant.
Especially the upper two voices who's vibrato less tone is clear and blends well.
WOW! A madrigal twist on the Distler!
I've been waiting for this music to show up on youtube.
my college choir performed this piece. it is definitely challenging and i love it. dare i say this performance is perfect.
Herrlich, wir singen das gerade im Kirchenchor...Gänsehaut pur
If you're in the New Orleans area, the New Orleans Vocal Arts Chorale is singing this for part of their first concert this season.
Coolness
Das der "alte" Distler noch mal auf diese
Weise zu hören ist,- sehr gute
Gestaltung, sagt ein alter
"Windsbacher", der bei Hans Thamm
das hunderte Male geprobt und gesungen
hat ...
Wow.
Was für ein Klang!
Beautiful! Why doesn’t anyone ritard at the end and extend the last two chords?
My college choir is singing this soon for our concert. It's a tough piece, but fun!!!!
this music is top drawer modern sacred
MEGAGEIL !!!
If we are going strictly Western music, the previous periods (at least with some semblance of recorded sheet music) are those of the Greek and Roman empires. That's as far back as historians have gone in finding written music, if we are only sticking to the terms and eras regarding Western Classical music, as you and I both have been doing.
Einfach wunderbar!
Let me put it simply for your uneducated mind.
Modern is in reference to a music era.
Renaissance: c.1450-c.1600
Baroque: c.1600-c.1750
Classical: c.1750-c.1820
Romantic: c.1820-c.1910
Modern: c.1910-c.1970
Postmodern: c.1970-present day
What comes before renaissance? Medieval.
bis 1:34 und bitte das ist doch kein grosser Akt!
