You did this video so well. It's unfortunate AAR and the Pierces didn't do a joint video/release but it is a great representation of what they would have done. I'm 50 yrs old and I tend to be in the classic rock and blues n country taste. But I have found plenty of bands I've enjoyed as genres and music evolve. I dismissed the AAR initially because they were lumped in with Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance and the other alt/emo rock/pop acts. They have crafted successful songs n sold a bunch of albums. My younger ex was into them and they have become a guilty pleasure of mine with other bands or singers that I appreciated later "Another Heart Calls" is a beautiful song and collaboration and it makes me think of the years we had together and the mistakes we made. Saw AAR a few months ago for the first time and was glad they are starting new music again..
When I say, guilty pleasure, that has good and bad connotations.. I simply mean that while I'm listening to Metallica I have a hard time talking about the merits of Kelly Clarkson. And I also feel guilty because I didn't recognize their brilliance in a crowded pool at the time, like AAR, Alice in Chains, etc. I say this because I do stringed-instrument repair for a living and customer's will come in and hear Metallica "Now that we're Dead'" and then Shakira 'Whenever, Wherever". I appreciate brilliance in many forms and my customers appreciate that too, as I work on jazz, rock, metal, country, classical, n flamenco instruments. I know what I like in general but I'm open to different styles of music.
And that sounds like I'm dissing Kelly Clarkson which was not the case...I have some of her songs on playlists. The girl has a great voice! Same to AIC...they became big in the grunge era out of Seattle and I grew up during the hair-metal era where every guitarist was trying to be faster and more proficient than the rest, so grunge was a hard switch to what I was used to. AIC was brilliant in retrospect and I've seen them live and even after Layne's death Jerry Cantrell plays amazing riffs, they write great songs and pay respect to the past as well as doing new stuff. I haven't decided if I'll buy the "Sweat" EP yet. There's a difference watching it live or video, or wanting to listen to it by itself. I will stfu now.
I thought it was a pretty good video you did really well, and those who talk negitive on this video should put one of your own up if you can do better gosh, it kinda fooled me except i know tysons voice so well from his songs that i knew, but I enjoyed the over all vision. 2 thumbs up from me and my 4 children who was inspired to do their own videos with as much thought.
