YES! This was by far my favorite non-licensed theme. To this day I still have some of the comics laying around. I credit this theme with instilling a love of fantasy in me that I carry to this day. Before LOTR or ASOIAF I was into Knight's Kingdom.

Definitely, after playing with my brother's bionicles (and my own) I right away turned to these figures when they came out. Actually bought karzon on a market last month for 5 euro, it's worth 40-60

@@alexanderlamar4529 I incorporated the action figures as Giants, and Morcia was a big valley near the Sentai mountain. I also made up this setting that after the robot war (which I finished in my head), Exo-Force started doing explorations, and this is why tales of cursed headless knights started to crop up at the borderlands of Morcia. The whole thing was that the mech drivers thought that the knights were mechs built together with robots instead of separate pilots, and the knights thought that the mechs were magical armors moving on their own. Also, the power source for the exoforce mechs used a refined version of the material Vladeks magical sword was made of.

Probably the first time in my life that I made something to just have a nice concept rather than being some giant monstrosity of weapons as I used to build as a child and I still have them displayed in my room because I just liked the result so much, felt like a genuine bionicle set.

Knight's Kingdom was my very first Lego theme, and I look back on it fondly. I still "have" my childhood knights, but they're all incomplete, worn, yellowed, and of course, in pieces. I rebought these a couple years ago to have pristine versions, and I adore them. These and the minifigs were such a strong and awesome introduction to Lego for me (besides Duplo). Not only did I love the toys, but the style, colors, and smoothness of the artwork captivaited me as a kid, and I had my favorite panels of the comics scanned and re-printed to hang up on the wall. I've gotten some random parts of the later waves and I'd love to make some custom knights from them. Sure they're not "traditional lego", but the way I see it, as long as there's an element of creativity, it's faithful to the brand.

Those fellows are my childhood and the reason I build my personality on knight's nobility and codex. At the time, Jayko from 1st phase and all the other from 2nd phase learned me to be brave and kind. I never got Vladek, but he was the last one I wanted, cause he was evil. I'm glad this guy keeps knight's legacy save while I couldn't afford getting all of those as a child, even though I'd really love to. I remember when King Matthias came out, I really had the impression that he was special because of his cape and black shield holder pieces.
I also distinctly remember as a kid I thought Danju was an old guy because of the color of his hair and beard. Now I realize he was probably fairly young like the rest of the team and that his hair was an oddly-printed rendition of blond.
I still have my childhood box of Lego parts so I might put these guys back together to display with my 6" action figures.

I remember drooling over these sets! It wasn’t until wave 2 that I bought any. And tbh I’m glad I did - the later waves got progressively better and had more system integration. One thing you didn’t point out what was how customisable the figures are - you can swap swords, arms, helmets etc. had a lot of fun making my own.
The world was simple but really fun. I used to get the Lego magazine delivered (looking back basically ads in comic form) and the stories for Knights Kingdom were ace. The flash games were fun too.

I have such a weird relationship with the knights kingdom sets. I stumbled upon them when I received some of the action figures from some family we were staying with back when I was like 10 or so, and I always thought they were strange. The whole vibe of knights kingdom felt weird to me for the longest time, but more recently I’ve found that I’m actually quite fond of the theme and the strange buildable figures. Despite how awkward and janky they can be at times, there’s something about them that just feels like so much fun. I don’t know what it is really, but I guess seeing these weird figures and their pieces in my collection over the years has given me a sense of growing up with them, even though I never properly did.
