I grew up in the 90’s but I didn’t have a Furby. I’m having a hard time convincing my 37 year old adult self I don’t need this toy. This redesign is just so cute I love it I might just have to get it.
Just do what I did, I bought it for "science" or to "investigate" the strange occurrences which surround Furbies 🤭. You can also just say it is a party entertainment gift. So when you have somebody over you can do the fortune telling game. Do I need to list more excuses 🥰
No worries, i was in college When my family got the 1998 one, and my parents went bonkers as much as me!
"Kwa-da" is still alive and well and he represents many good moments and easier times.
It's okay to have some guilty pleasures, get one and don't worry about what everyone else will think!

I’m a grown man and I just got one and proud of it! was very hard to get they were sold out in my area! Money well spent you can’t beat the 90s nostalgia! Got a 1998 one to still works! I’m so happy they brought them back!! ❤❤❤😊
Awesome! And the fact that you are a grown up should not matter what you like. Besides the fortune telling game or the chill game are also fun for adults. Also most of the things this Furby says I would say are more ment for adults then children. BTW which color did you get? I wish I still had mine from the 90's but it got lost during moving house

I had a 98, 5th gen koala furby. She was just angelic. Even though I didn't know a single word english and furbish that toy saved my childhood of being excluded and mistreated by my friends and cousins. I had a undiagnosed ADHD back in the time and May-Lah (it was her name) was simply just like me. 😢 I still can't understand how anyone get scared by those angelic creatures.
I loved my Furby too from back in the 90's I just watched too many twilight zone and Xfiles episodes as a kid so I had a very interesting imagination. I was also very sad I lost my Furby during the move. Honestly onlyy that one time when the batteries ran out was when I was scared like hell 🤭
Omg I had the royal furbie when I was a kid and it sounded demonic when the batteries ran low loll.
I'm in love with the inside of the box this one comes in. I normally don't like how reboot designs look, but I actually really like this one 🥺💕

Me too the inside of the box is so nice, and I love how you can use it as Furbies Room, but also as a backdrop for other dolls
I'm on the 50/50 sometimes I like reboots and sometimes I don't. It really depends on the execution of the toy and if they have modernized it to today's standards.

I just got my furby Coral just few days ago, and I am absolutely obsessed with it, I am currently missing the purple one that you have and the Exclusive Tie-dye one, which is the third one. The box gives all the information, but you never know right 😅. I hear a lot that people don’t like it that the beak doesn’t move. Honestly I don’t mind it that much. I just really enjoy the fortune telling part of it

My family had the original one (gray with a white belly) and 2 emototronic ones. i still have them btw, and i bought a few more on the way, including the 2012 one (dark blue) that i travelled to the USA to get him. I always had a thing for these silly furball owls, they are just so awesome toys.
Btw, the light show mode is meant to be a nightlight for kids to relax with.

Just got my Furby yesterday. And wow, he actually moves his feet. Mouth and body don't move on their own, but that's okay. I have the purple one, named King.

I would've got the coral one but he was not available when I pre-ordered. And I would've had to come up with a name for him. Purple was easy, that being a royal collar, and I've always wanted something I could name King.
The "chill out" thing is wonderful for an anxious adult like me. Who'd have thought a Furby could do more than just be a toy?

Yes. I haven't played music for him yet, but think that's what I'll try next. My favorite things to do with him besides just interacting are the fortune/magic 8ball, and the chill out. Chill out is something any adult can appreciate.

I don't get people saying their furby 1998 woke in the night or said scary stuff. I have 20 of those (all with batteries in) and they never woke up without a trigger or said anything odd.
Okay, then either you were rich and your parent could afford the best batteries in the world or you are extremely lucky. Cause even my mom was telling me she found the toy scary when the batteries ran low
@@ButtonsandBoxes I have them now, i wasn't even alive in 1998. 40 Furbies in total with about 20 being 1998s. From what i know, Furbies should only awaken by themselves if they were thrown around and mistreated. However I've never seen one awaken by itself so I'm pretty sure they don't do it. By the way i only use duracell and varta
Oooohhhh, you weren't even alive back then, that explains a lot, what we now call mistreatment of toys was back then considered "experimenting" during those times X-files and Twight zone were very much watched in my house, so yea the toys did get "special" treatments (so did my barbies😅 ). Also I live in a flat next to a very busy route in a big city, so the house was constantly shaking, the good old days 😅🤭

There was a Furby model which the batteries needed to be removed after play, because it would run the batteries down even when asleep. That was the Furby connect.

Hi, I didn't have the 2016 Furby, I only had the first wave of Furbies back in the 90's. The Furbies should take to eachother, but I haven't tested it yet.

I’m 40 and I still enjoy it. It’s fun, colorful and has some nostalgia and you know the good thing about being an adult is, you don’t have to ask your parents for permission you only need your own permission 😊

Well, the only toy that ever scared me was a squeak toy that was in my bed. The dog stepped on it and startled me awake.
squeeky toys should be banned! I can't even count how many times these toys scared the living daylight out of me. Maybe I just watch too many horror movies in the 80 and 90's which really made me jumpy for unexpected noises, cause as you know that is always how horror movies start (oh yea and never run up stair when running away)
@@ButtonsandBoxes Lol! For me, it's the eerie music that really does it. Especially when there is a scene that seems innocent enough, and suddenly eerie music plays in the background, letting you know something is definitely about to go wrong in some horrific way.
Oh yeah, I forgot about the eerie music... However the deadly silence (especially in horror games) also freaks me out. I'm then like "just play the eerie music again, I need sound!!"

The only bad things about new Furby include
The fact that they don't dance
Their beak doesn't move (which makes it look terrifying)
They're eyes aren't animated
They don't have a corresponding application which is booty
And the design.
The design and colors they chose is completely overused! Like they use those bright ass colors on MLP and it has been used on Care Bears and Lego Friends back then they all used to be unique and pretty now they are just colorful rainbow garbage
Also Furbies are supposed to be for everyone.
With this one I don't see it you can brush it and terms like besties are used.
Those kinds of things and terms are usually aimed at girls if you ask me (not saying that only girls can brush hair and call each other besties)
I feel like Hasbro could've did a better job by making this for everyone and making the design for gender neutral rather than super girly.
Otherwise this succeeded in giving good vibes and I'm glad Furbies are back again they're super cute!
I understand yoru points, it does deviate a lot from the previous Furby versions and I still do hope they also bring out a a Furby with either grey tones (as shown on the inside cover art) or brown tone colors. I just happen to really like the fortune teling feature (yes magic 8 ball was my favorite party game to play) and I'm also a big fan of bright colors, so that's why it works for me, but I can understand that it is not everybody cup of tea 🙂

New furbies ar a bit bleh. Recently found a Furbacca and my kids absolutely love him.
Id love if they brough back the syle with animated eyes but definitely like the way this one sleeps rather than pulling a tail and praying.

I didn't bother with all the imagery, just went straight for opening the box, no muss no fuss, just opened it open and got the Furby out.

when i was a kid, i had the furby boom, and i loved it. but THIS this just changes too much. its target audiance are girls and i dont like it. there should be a classic model, with more masculin colours
Personally I love these colors, I'm trying to get my hands on the limited edition Rainbow one. I would be nice if they also made a Grey, White or Black Furby, but I guess that really depends on I guess the succes of these. I don't identify any color as a girl or boy color, but I can understand that not everybody is a fan of bright colors

I really don't like they cut A LOT of features and movement for furby. Also i don't like this design. They made it too much agressivly "cute" wich is just ew. And this 5 features just kinda cringe, i liked Furby being like a real pet. Now its just....generic interactive toy that can copy you, sing and do other weird stuff. But i like they decided to use doll eyes again< its reminds me of old furbs. Even thought those eyes are......cringe

Its ok u like him, lot of furby fans like him as well, i just don't like they made him THAT MUCH agressivly adorable-looking. And the fact he lose lot of movement, this is the main thing. Also here in russia i saw people sell this toy for 25 000 rub. About 200$
