In this video we take a look at Furby - from the toys arrival on the scene to a rockstar's reception to the toys demise and revival over the years. The toy that talks has come a long way since its first release and several generations later the Furby name is still talked about. Furby was an animatronic toy that started speaking Furbish but would learn English and other languages over time. This raised some concerns about Furby being used as a spying device (Furby, James Furby). While the Furby has faded in popularity in recent years, with the new generation having been raised on smartphones and video games, Furby remains an all-time iconic toy. They should make a new Furby just in time for the 25th Anniversary. Maybe a revamped version of the original one, with a redesigned mechanics, silent motors and gears like the 2012 and Connect. With a vintage touch and a new personality, it could be a huge success again.
They could charge a premium for an updated "classic" furby since it would appeal to collectors and nostalgic adults

Ok so let’s talk about the real reason furby had to change their style in 1998… the company was sued for the toy looking to much like gizmo… the lawsuit was a success and that’s when furby came out with the gizmo furby… it was a very sad situation for the actual owners
