In cricket with all the media clinging to india for viewership, i dont like to root for india. But come chess i respect this man so much he single handedly opened the opportunity for me to see these youngsters, love pragg gukesh and vidit and wishing them best of luck to win this!!!!!

@@deldel5204 good question. I actually supported and respected lots of players from different sports throughout my life. Even being a barca fan couldn't really hate Ronaldo all that much, although I did hate Ramos a little bit. But this time Vidit has all the correct set of combinations. Good talent, lack of aggression, determination but no composure. It just feels nice to bet on someone's failure and see it come true.
What a blessing it is to have such a genius gentleman belonging to India. I don't know when Indian govt will confer Bharat Ratna to him, but he is already one in people's hearts and minds.
Pragg is like Actor Rajini in Tamil Cinema, whereas Gukesh is like Actor Kamal in Tamil Cinema... Eventhough Gukesh Wins good, mass people of Tamilnadu are behind Pragg... With that said, these Limelights can affect these young players, i feel Gukesh will be in top 3 in coming years.. and Pragg in top 10

i think vidit s play style suits the candidate format ...i think he and pragg will do well..wheras somebody like gukesh is in for a big trouble if he isnt in the form of his life,,,
All our players are great and truly are a role model but honestly I don't have much hopes from them in the candidates (from men's pool). Most likely an American will take the title. Hopefully our players perform good and youngsters like Pragg and Gukesh gain a lot of experience from this coz I believe they have many more candidate tournaments to play in the future and hopefully win there!❤
so heres my prediction 1. Caruana(no explanation needed) 2.Hikaru (good form and hes mentally in a very good place) 3. Pragg (he is very hard to beat and very mature for his age , so when most players are prone to catastrophic collapse pragg would secure vital draws and get 3rd) 4.Vidit (this is doubtful considering his bad form in the last tournament ..but i think vidit is very solid and mentally strong/ mature to not go on a downward spiral after a loss or 2) 5.Nepo ( hes completely shattered after the game against ding ,no confidence, no motivation , not seeing any brilliant games recently from him ,no good tournament recently and very bad form ) 6.firouzja(his fashion designing nonsesnse wont help here and he barely qualified , he did unethical ways to qualify, so god wont be happy upon him..is he even doing chess anymore?) 7.Gukesh (ah , he needs to calm down a bit and play solid sometimes and not push for win all the time ...he gets very nervous in crtical position which wont help him that much either..i fear he might loose an early game and go on a downward spiral and loose bunch trying to win all the rest of the games ..but im sure he would provide entertaining games ;) ) 8. Abasov ( alright , how did he qualify again ? would have loved Nodirbek or keymar or erigaisi instead, but it is what it is)

So it was Vishy who provided Gukesh with the right advice, that is, to work more closely with Gajewski. Vishy is truly a godsend for Indian chess.

No, vidit struggles with lesser time control. If you see his best performances have come in longer time controls like grand swiss.

They qualified for candidates itself a big achievement but no one will come under top 3 because they are not prepared as nepo caruana hikaru.
I think at least one may come very close to win but yeah Caruana is strongest in classical…
Look at the standings now lol

Pragg next champion
Is the interviewer Parvinder Khari?
I was wondering too. Funny they don't seem to mention it in the description either.
