i died when the ambulances immediately started hauling ass as soon as he built the hospitals 😂 same comedic timing as when the long line of cows couldn't fit into the staff room and just immediately turned around and marched back to the entrance in Planet Coaster 😂

Cant really blame him for that. He was actually trying this time around, not just staring at the chaos he unfolded. Ruining things is just as natural as breathing for Kevin, hes new to this whole "trying to do good" thing. Its to be expected that he would be a bit slow at it the first time and that he would destroy more that he helps. You know how it goes with him. One step forward, two steps backwards and all.

He put a water tower in a place that he showed like five times was heavily polluted, and even mentioned at some point that you couldn't even see the factories but you could see the smog, and this caused the citizens to be sick, and his solution? Shit down the Eco Water Pipes which were already leaving clean water behind since, y'know, that's the whole point, they don't leave unclean sewage in the water, to replace them with water treatment plants, which do the same thing, but are more expensive, deal with less sewage at a time, and cause ground pollution instead of being entirely clean.
At least the tornado knows how to commit to the bit

I love how Kevin was so focused on fixing the sewage when the problem was caused by the water tower he put right next to the factories.

I love how this is supposed to be a space challenge and kevin somehow makes his city too big to function right at the start.
It went from being a one tile challenge to a "dont let your city self-destroy" challenge real quick. Which is actualy for the better, cause making a semi-funtional city is quite the challenge for Kevin, bigger that any other he could come up with. So maybe this wasnt a huge success seeing it by itself, but comparing to every other city Kevin built, i think we can all agree this was an absolute win. Not for the people of the city of course, but it was for Kevin for sure.
@@pedrovallefin8406 I think you you forgot about Fecktopia... 3, I think? The one which segregated the poor from the rich. Because it was pretty similar to this, but a part of it was ACTUALLY good. Of course, that part was sustained by people paying taxes and being provided no services and having to drink their own sewage, but it beat this.

It's so weird for Kevin to actually put emergency services in a convenient location so they can reach everyone. Usually he doesn't put any at all lol
He was actually making an effort for the first time. Sure, there were still tons of deads and he never figured out how to fix the water problem he caused (or how trains work), but is still a huge inprovement in how he usually does things. From anyone else point of view this would be the most corrupt city in the world, for Kevin is the most funtional city he has ever been involved in. Of course, those two staments arent mutually exclusive, so make of that what you will.

For the trains, you need to select the “allow intercity trains” option when you click on the station
City demolishing tip: you can just ignore abandoned buildings and they'll just rebuild themselves!

@@cecil2742 This is a sort of middle ground. Kevin builts things, but he builts them so poorly they eventually self-destruct. Though being fair with him, most of the destroying this time around was by the tornado. And for once he wasnt even responsable for the tornado apearance, he was only complicit in sitting to watch it destroy the city instead of doing anything to limit it (im assuming theres must be a way to partially stop the tornado from destroying everything, otherwise the game is just screwing you over).

I gotta say, Kevin really tied a hand behind his back for this one between starting out too big and making everyone sick with the water tower placement. But in spite of that, his city functioned! And grew! He's truly a genius beyond my mortal comprehension.

kevin talking about roads in ireland remind me of the roads in little olde kansas. 60-80 year old slightly cracked up roads but no chunks missing or spots turning into gravel, and its some lightly traveled side road? rip it the fuck up and replace it relatively fast. transition between ground road and bridge has multiple tire popping rim destroying potholes you have to swerve like a maniac to avoid or literally crawl over to escape unharmed, and have no other realistic way to cross the bridge to get to the place you want? takes 2-3 years of the highway being like that before the government decides to fix it, where they continuously fill them over and over and over again for almost a year before they finally decide to permanently fix it. then they block half the highway, do nothing with it for 6 months, take 3 months tearing it up, and 4 months to put the new one in. then another 4 months of tearing down the other side, 4 months putting a new part in on that side, and 3 weeks before they open it up after being completely done with it
Not much for health and safety, but I respect the dedication to trying to improve the transit in the city
