Dear Fr Warner, You are a blessing and in the same way I feel blessed by listening to your reflection of The Epiphany of our Lord and our parish priest at mass today. Our priest for the 1st time went fishing on a boat. They were out all day in the deep sea and came back without. fish. He questioned his friend asking why go all that way when people catch fish off the wharf/on the beach. Well his friend said the deeper you go the bigger the fish. His homily was based on his experience saying that, it is how our faith should be going deeper into experiencing the true love of God. 🙏🏻
Dear Fr Warner - your talk has so many beautiful facets to reflect on. On this feast day of the Epiphany, Jesus' presence is manifested to the world. Like the wise men who were led by a star to Jesus, God is leading us at all times even when we feel He is distant. May we adore baby Jesus like the shepherds & for gifts we can simply give Him our hearts, our lives & all we treasure. Like the Magi, may we too choose a new direction & a better way of life. Thank you Fr for your lovely reflection. God be with you & bless you. 🙏 ♥️
Thanks,Fr for your reflection on the feast of the Epiphany, and the trouble the three wise men took to find baby Jesus, the king of the jews, and followed by the Adoration, when they find Jesus,it was God who was guiding them all through this journey, and leading them back by another way. let us also be transformed after we meet and adore Jesus, our lord and savior. May God bless you and keep you well. have a comfortable stay in Malad.
Thank you dear Rev. Fr. for today's teaching! Our presence is more important than our presents! May I add 'If you are not present in an event wholeheartedly and with good intent then your presents will not be wholly beneficial to the host.'
Yes Fr in chandor goa my place we celebrate 3 kings feast where 3 kings come riding horses from the mount to the church n then mass begins! Happy Feast 🙏🍺🍺
Thank you dear father for showing us the three categories of people we could be in the Epiphany scene. I recently watched a movie on Netflix titled 'Mary' which depicts Herod's despotic rule. God continue to bless you in drawing our attention to Christ and not just the celebrations. Happy feast of the Epiphany 🙏
Thank you Fr. Warner for the clarity with which you share the scriptures with us. Believe it or not just as you are excited to be at the first holy communion service I too wait in excitement every day to follow through on your reflections which brings home the scriptures ALIVE! Have a grace-filled Jubilee year 2025.
Lord we thank you for Fr Warners anointed hands blessed are the six children who were baptized and now to receive Jesus tomorrow oh what good news that's for us Yes Lord remind me to offer my deeds and actions for yr greater glory Bless all the children and all parents Jesus help Fr to overcome all the obstacles that cause hinderance to his grt work with his grt zeal he has
It is really a great privilege to be administering the Sacrament of Holy Communion to the six children whom you had baptized at the Church of St.Jude. The reflections- First is that we need to trust God in all types of weather. God always lead us Second reflection--We need to shun the feeling of hatred, indifference We need to look on Cribs as an object of veneration. We need to belong to the third category of kneeling in adoration and acknowledge Jesus as our King. What type of a gift should we offer. We need to lay more stress on the presence rather than the presents God reveals to us in different ways and I like the way you call the GPS- God's Positioning System. We will definitely pray for the ten children who will be receiving Holy Communion A Happy Feast of The Epiphany, Fr.Warner God bless you and protect you always 🙏
Father Warner, really loved what you shared with us today - 'adore the crib not admire the crib', and offer God our Presence instead of Presents 😊, also to mention my Husband Richard was lucky to have the same priest do his Baptism, communion, confirmation, sacrament of Marriage as well. I pray that these blessed children may share a similar experience through your blessed hands you may continue to serve God always.
We have a dear neighbour Rui ,born on 6th January, 3 Kings Feast, his leg was amputated due to high bloody sugar,he shares his birthday with my late father,so in his memory, I see that his medicines are seen to,he ,Rui turns 71 yrs,his wife sees to him,it isn't easy ,this gent ,when little would be an altar server in tge Chapel across ,when our Uncle priest celebrated the Holy Eucharist, he would accompany my husband 's grandfather as he was a musician, to Church and the neighbouring Chapels,to Vanxim, across Divar Island ,his mother had asked before her death, who would see to them in her absence, she meant after she died.So we took this up on us ,right from his amputation till date, that year ,it was Good Friday,3 yrs ago that he had his amputation, his doting daughter also does all in her abillity, this was a man who played football, carried loads on his head ,to and from the field. My father too had Dos Magos in his name, after the Magis
Hi Fr. Warner, thanks for your points made during your teaching. Your point on God’s GPS was well noted. Thank you. We often receive gifts and some of us use and/or reuse/recycle and yet others abuse or discard them. Mary and Joseph were given 3 gifts by the Magi- gold, frankincense and myrrh. What did Mary do with these gifts? Scripture doesn’t tell us. I was at Mass yesterday and the priest threw this question to us. What did Mary do with these gifts received? He went on to explain that Blessed Catherine Anne Emerich had visions of the gifts Mary received and what happened to them. Of the gift of gold received, Mary had it moulded and fashioned into a cup, which Jesus used at the Last Supper - signifying His Kingly calling. The gift of frankincense was used by Mary & Joseph at the Presentation when incense was burned along with their other sacrifices - signifying Jesus’ priestly ministry. The myrrh was used by Mary (along with the other Mary and women) for Jesus’ burial - signifying His prophetic ministry. It reminds us of our calling too to be prophet, priest & king for His glory.
Happy Feast Of Epifany Fr.Warner.
I agree Fr. Warner, even I would admire cribs and kissed baby Jesus, but key word ADORATION knocked my hollow. Thank you dear Fr. Warner.
