Graham Norton really is the best talk show host there is. He not only knows how to make his guests feel comfortable and get them to have fun, but he can get them to do and talk about things you really wouldn't see or hear on most American talk shows. He's brilliant at his job and I wish we had talk show hosts at his level.

I don't know how he does it. The couch sees celebs that ALMOST never do chat shows. Dame Maggie Smith made her 1st appearance on a chat show in 40 years, the longest serving female MP's 1st appearance and elusive Hollywood icons crowd on his couch. Amazing.
My fav moment is “I began to cream in my knickers” AHAHAHHA I can’t remember the episode but it’s with Miriam Marygoles and Matthew Perry HAHAHAHA it honestly killed me

Greg Davies deserves an honourable mention at least! His stories are always gold! And the episode with Matt Damon, Bill Murray and the bloke from Downton and the episode with Adele, Miranda and Jack Whitehall were two of the best chat show episodes in chat show history. Both so relaxed and as if friends were just getting together.
I loved it when Mat Damon, Billy Murray, Paloma Faith, and Hugh Bonnerville were on the sofa together.

Graham is just the best. He shook up the chat show format with the 'So Graham Norton' show on channel 4. He was original, fun, camp and wildly entertaining. Since then on the BBC, he's matured like a fine wine. No frills, great atmosphere... but still the much loved wild moments. Perfect! Never leave!
What about Greg Davies story of his moms knickers?!?! Or when Sir Patrick Stewart talks about his circumcision...or lack there of!?! Horrible narration!!!!

The Greg Davies teaching/bathroom story was hysterical, as were the guests' reactions (Jody Foster, Russell Crowe and especially Ryan Gosling). Still makes me laugh.
Kate Beckinsale's hotel chocolate story is still my utmost memorable moment... the story, the delivery, her charm, her weirdness about it all... it is a truly amazing moment.
So many great momements.
My favorite two are
1) the Monuments Men episode with Bill Murray, Matt Damon, and Hugh Bonneville. They were all trashed and completely out of control. the last part of the show was all three with the poor musical guest laid out across their laps. The Earl of Grantham was drinking out of the songstress's shoe!
2) Miriam Margoyles telling the story of meeting Lawrence Olivier. Look it up on you tube. It's definitely worth watching, if only for the other guests' reaction.

I can’t stand most of the newer versions of American late night talk show hosts. They’re terrible, especially Colbert!!! He goes out of his way (as do some of the others) to put so much political crap in them, that you just can’t stand him! It’s really not a good venue for politics, & for that matter, he bullies his guests about who they support/who they’ll vote for, when it’s nobody’s business! That’s why voting is done in PRIVATE!!! There’s enough politics on practically 24/7 on CNN, local & national news, and multiple other talk shows, etc. Isn’t enough, enough? How about get back to the funny stuff and actually have some good, hilarious stuff that actually makes pple. LAUGH and enjoy the show!

The Graham Norton Show for me is the best talk show...
He's a very good host and very funny.
He allows his guests to tell their stories and not interrupting. He knows how to make his guests comfortable and I very much like it that he was able to have these great celebrities sit on one couch and still be great... He showed balance and really did some fantastic approaches on the show.
