Hi, I’ve just got into making electronic music benn a fan of it for over 40 years. I’ve just bought the volca modular and your book on this. What volca would you recommend to get next?
Hi, do you have a particular type of music that you'd like to make? Without any other info at this point, I'll suggest the Volca Keys, because it's very versatile (it can do melodies, chords, basslines and sound effects) and it's capable of making a wide range of very usable sounds when you know how to use it.
Tony Horgan many thanks for getting back to me. The type of music I like is early Gary Numan and John Foxx. I also listen to bands such as Suicide Commando, Hocico etc. Some other synths I’ve bought are the UNO synth, Microfreak and the Behringer TD3. This probably helps to recommend my next Volca.
Witchfinder General How about a Volca Sample v2 for drums? You could load it with any drum sounds you like. There are lots of free drum sample packs online, including samples of early 80s drum machines.
